Gosh you all seem so organised! I do usually work part time but am off and have no routine what so ever! Thought I would have loads of time to declutter etc have done no decluttering, the days go so fast but seems ages since we were allowed out to work etc. Must get more organised.

Wake up around 7am. Read Anne Tyler for an hour or so. Get up, have bath, maybe chuck in a bath bomb. Make some coffee and toast with pink grapefruit marmalade. Time for some contemplation. Read some more to find out what didn’t happen. Potter around, tidying as I go. Go into garden to listen to birds, greet my friendly robin and to pick some rhubarb to make a crumble. Grate some orange zest to excite rhubarb. Add ground ginger to crumble as I feel a bit radical. Lie under crab apple tree for an hour and enjoy filtered sunlight.. Knock up a vodka C cocktail ( vodka with an effervescent vitamin c tablet) Enjoy cocktail and crumble. Watch Malory Towers on iPlayer. Soon be bedtime.
Getting into a routine. Usually up by 6am, even in normal times. These days having an early walk with DH, then prepare lunch time sandwiches and evening meal. After that I'm sewing scrubs for the NHS until mid afternoon with breaks for coffee and lunch. Don't think I've worked o hard since I retired!!! Housework is a bit patchy.
This shows how different we all are! I also don’t have a routine. I do usually have a think when I wake up of what I feel like doing...and also what has to be done (eg ironing or shop for food). I worked part time as a therapist at home and I’m now doing a little of that online or by phone but otherwise not that much has changed. I would just be incredibly bored if I did the same thing every day but I do think it’s worthwhile to loosely plan the day on waking....and then be prepared to change it! As long as I’ve enjoyed part of each day, I feel it’s been worth getting up for! Personally, I’m shocked at how much some people are apparently doing in their ‘hour exercise’ each day?! Mostly I miss family and friends and that’s why I think it’s good to have some small plans or distractions.
I absolutely LOVE lockdown!!! It is so glorious for me not to do anything all day, knowing I also have another totally uninterrupted day tomorrow to do exactly the same, or not, whatever I fancy! No routines here, just enjoying the lovely weather, keeping bathrooms and kitchen the right side of a health hazard, and enjoying the privilege of being able to stay in and stay safe!
No daily routines at all. Just do what we want when we want. We didn't have regular routines before lockdown either, I hate the regularity of routines. Things get cleaned/dusted/washed when they need it, clothes ironed when we want to wear them. It works for us.
The only good thing to come out of this, is that I don't need a routine. I do what I like, when I feel like it! I've only just asked my husband where did I have time to go to work. At this precise moment, I want to browse on here and a holiday forum I'm a member off, have a look at facebook, do some of my jigsaw, pick up my knitting or crochet, read my book and facetime some of my 6 grandchildren. Decisions, decisions. I'm loving the fact that I can get up and go to bed whenever I want and I really don't mind that I have no idea what day of the week it is!!
I am really missing seeing the family but keeping positive and I am enjoying NOT having a routine although I like to do something constructive each day. Loving having time to explore local area. Lack of cars mean I can hear the birds and enjoying having the time to walk, spend in the garden and read. We are going to bed later if we want to watch something on tv ( eg national theatre free plays on youtube) we do ot even if it is at 11pm and then get up when we feel like it. Also enjoying painting with watercolour and acrylics so it does feel like I am on holiday...until i watch the news and feel guilty I am enjoying myself while others are suffering.
My rutine is the same as always, since I retired.
I get up between 7 and 8, wash, dress, do my hair, drink coffee and listen to the news. Wash up and make our bed.
After that, depending on what needs to be done and on the weather, I do some weeding, tidying up or the like.
Today, I went shopping for groceries and did the washing.
Afternoon: check e-mail, including Gransnet, read or whatever else I feel like.
Lots of cooking, followed by house cleaning, shopping on line, for 2 others in our road too, which takes up alot of time, walking for a good hour everyday, zooming with friends, family and book club group, catching up with emails especially now as lots of old friends whom are rarely in touch (in other parts of the country or abroad) are now emailing regularly, reading, on the phone to friends and family and watching TV in the evening! Never a moment to be bored, just missing going to art galleries, theatre, concerts etc; although there are some of these online too, and having grandchildren and family round.
No end in sight for us "oldies ' I fear though. So far so good and actually enjoying it in some ways.
I must say though, we are lucky we have a garden and a lovely house plenty big enough for the two of us including having some space to be alone occasionally. Consider ourselves very lucky not to be living in a high-rise flat with no garden.
What an organised lot you are! Apart from doing the usual tasks, and those not always at a pre-set time or day, I have never had a routine for anything!
I think I could sum up my feelings as, today the sun is shining, it might rain tomorrow, so today I will ignore the dust, take my lunch into the garden and sit with a book and my beautiful cat on my lap. I will do some housework tomorrow - if I feel like it!
Do a cd workout 3-4 times a week, usually mornings, go for a walk, try to think up another craft project, bake or cook something different. Today I'm making spiced oranges and two cakes to send to my daughter. I cut and coloured my hair yesterday and made a better job of it than my hairdresser does so I was really pleased with myself. Other than that, the usual household chores. Also I have made facemasks for friends and family.
We have coffee in bed which still feels like a luxury. Then breakfast and showers. Then we usually go for a walk, back for lunch. Then in the afternoon we either do some gardening, watch a film or have an afternoon nap ?
I’ve been doing more cooking and baking than usual, although I’ve always been a cook from scratch person. We also phone/FaceTime etc family and friends and I do a couple of yoga classes each week with my yoga friends via Facebook messenger video.
That all sounds like a lot, but I still feel as though I’m lazing around! I have worked from home for a few years, but have so little work to do now, I think that’s why I feel lazy.
Apart from missing family DH and I are enjoying each other’s company and relaxing.
Lay in later than usual, cup of tea, bath and hair wash, dress leisurely breakfast, morning tv for a while, check emails, sit around for a while. Maybe exercise video online. Put wash load on some days, change beds weekly. Hoover. Open windows for some fresh air. Every other day walk. Lunch. Bit of gardening or read a book. Dinner (lots of eating going on....) On line choir. Tv. Read. Bed
Up feed dogs, walk dogs or go to work depending on the day of the week.
Minimal amount of chores, lunch.
Read, social media and or t.v.
Cooking and further chores. More t.v. Netflix binge watching
Bed sleep rise return.
Breakfast and shower. Walk to the nearest train station to pick up a free newspaper then, if the weather is nice extend the walk over the common or through the woods. Come home, potter around in garden or carry on de-cluttering the house (I am on room 3 at the moment). I don't bother with housework (no one is going to visit!) Usually spend the afternoon on the computer and in the evening ring friends and family and watch TV!
Thats ok,Sodapop,it made me laugh, ive never rode a bike in my life!??
Thanks for advice Yellowmellow, but its not important to have 'structure' for your mental health for EVERYONE- thats the complete opposite of what would help my mental health& wellbeing- it would stress me out to be ' regimented' in any way- we are not all the same- im sure some ive advised to take it easy would not find it relaxing, but what i say is- we must go about this the way thats best for us- but wether we make a list& tick off the 'to do's' as we go,or just kickback & take each day as and how we find it,whatever works for us is what is important. But the one main thing is,stick to the rules weve been given, and the rest is up to us!
Sorry that was for Twinlolly not Nanan2 my apologies.
Nannan2 I understood cycling was not allowed here in France unless it was to go to work or shopping, has this changed ?
I spend the morning from 8am dog walking, housework, animal feeding. One of our dogs is elderly and has a bit of a continence problem so there is a lot of floor washing and disinfecting to do, thank goodness for hard floors. Afternoons I do ironing if there is any otherwise relax with Doctors and Father Brown. Wish I could say I spend my time learning new skills or educating myself but sadly I've fallen by the wayside there.
That looks lovely Twinlolly

I guess for some such as Rosalyn 69,if you do find a routine soothing, then you can write out a plan you can stick to,but for most of us its a good time to take stock, slow down& see where we can benefit from easing up on things.
We try to go for a bicycle ride down the rural country lanes then come back and do some gardening.
Saturdays I do the laundry and some housework. Each day is different or the same, depending on the weather.
The attached picture is from our ride yesterday which took us along a river path. At the end of the track, near the waterfall, was a notice that cycling along the paths is forbidden ~ but then again we had cycled along the path from the other end of the path, not near the car park near the waterfall. Oops.
