Covid toes

The American Academy of Dermatology has issued information about different types of rashes connected with this Coronavirus. The toe “frostbite” manifestation is just one of them.

oh dear - last night I had stabbing pains in my left foot and my small toe was inflamed.
I put it down to arthritis which I've had in my left foot and toes for some time.
But who knows? I'll keep an eye on it.
It was horrible - kept me awake for hours and wrecked me for today.

Though I know nothing at all about any link between CoVid19 and sore toes, I did see that the URL you posted included the words "clinicians trace ferocious rampage through body brain toes" which implies a fierce infection - not the mild one you describe, J52, but one that they can refer to saying " how does coronavirus kill" I am now off to see if I can get any more information.

Although not sloughs*

Very interesting. DH and I are convinced that we both had very mild infections in the first week of lockdown. Slightly raised temperature, tiredness and mild coughs. But of course it could have been mild flu, sloughs we are very rarely unwell.
One night, during that time I had two very sore toes, I thought I’d snagged the nails. I couldn’t bare to have the duvet rest on them and got up to look at them. They were red like the photos in the link.
Until now I hadn’t made any connection between the mild possibility of having Covid 19 and sore toes.

It's bizarre .. It can attack any part of the body ..
