Welcome to our new home.
Extra comfy sofas and chairs.
A handsome butler ....well Jeeves ?
All the hot chocolate you can drink
And the most important thing, the company of good friends

CherryCezzy Sat 06-Feb-21 18:35:09

I think Jeeves has been hiding around the back, watching the Rugby possibly Grammaretto. I hope you enjoyed your walk ?

I found out what happened up the road from me. There was a single vehicle crash and a local man, aged 65, died at the scene ?. Apparently there was a man and a woman who got him out of the car and started cpr but they left the scene before the police arrived. An off duty emergency worker also performed cpr (she probably took over from the couple) and she stayed and was there when the ambulance arrived. It's an odd place for a bad one vehicle crash as essentially no matter which way you were coming or going you would, if in proper control of the vehicle, be driving quite slowly. One road is 20 mpr and people tend to obey that and the other you'd turn on to, or off from is 30 mph, also obeyed. The car hit the postbox situated on the turn which makes it even more peculiar. My WP and me think the man must have become unwell before he crashed ?. Horrible incident.

Grammaretto Sat 06-Feb-21 17:56:02

Cricket may be one of those games which is fun to play but not to watch. Actually most games are like that. IMO When I watched Queens Gambit recently I was staggered to see so many people crowding around to watch 2 people play chess.

The vaccines are certainly happening. My walking pal who is a few years younger than me has got her letter, as has my wood chopping df! BTW df with covid doesn't seem to have developed symptoms so we are all hoping he doesn't.

I am also sorry that you can't easily talk to DH but glad to hear you are busy preparing things for his return Panache.
You just have to get on with it, I find.

These plastic surgeons are so good at their job Jan. When I had to have my BCC (not BBC) removed, she took skin from my forehead and moved it down to my nose to reconstruct. sorry if you are squeamish She began in the morning and I was there all day, with breaks between when the cells were tested for malignancy. It is called MOHS surgery. Apart from a slightly red nose, I don't notice it. She took photos of the various stages so I am now part of a training manual!

What an interesting book club you have Kaimoana. I shall have to look up these characters. They don't seem to have settled on my Psyche. oh wait isn't she one of them?

When opening up a chimney in our house, we found an old cast iron fireback depicting a story from Greek mythology. I believe it shows Gaia, she of the earth (which is an odd thing to have in a fireplace)

Is it time for G&T? where's Jeeves?

CherryCezzy Sat 06-Feb-21 16:44:59

Afternoon gang, funny but my predictive text offered me afterglow and afterwards before offering afternoon ?

Your 4th cousin was an interesting man Mamissimo, he certainly didn't waste any of his life ?. He obviously loved what he did.

I see that you've got woolly hair like a poodle Doodle ?. A neighbour of my mother's had a poodle when I was a child. She was a very clever dog and an excellent companion for her. When they'd been out she used to take her mistress's shoes off and fetch her slippers before she stepped into her house and always wiped her own feet before going inside ?. A considerate companion, just like you Doodle.
I hope you are feeling better today, no achiness or tiredness ?. I'm feeling loads better this afternoon than I was even this morning so I'm sure barring hiccups I'll be wearing my Tigger tail tomorrow ?

Waitangi Day is marked on our calendar Kaimoana but it appears on the bank holiday Monday rather than Today. Not sure about Kronos' motives but didn't he want to keep time all for himself? ? Perhaps I'll get my coat too ...

Tiredness and/or sleepiness seems to be a relatively common effect of these jabs Missedout. I know it's not funny but you saying that you could sleep for England brought a smile to my face ?. Substitute the word sleep for talk and England for Wales and you've got what my WP says about me ?

I see the hospital is still acting like fort knox to speak to Panache. I hope you're making good progress sorting out the odds and ends, it makes sense to do it now. I'm glad that you've got more support from friends and I hope Mr P will be home with you soon. Take care of yourself ?

Nfk I've been wondering where you'd got to. Technology is great when it works ...
There seems to be a fair few missing or tampered with packages about. Grammaretto's saga is well documented on here and now *Missedout has had a parcel tampered with and you've had issues too. Hermes seem to be involved in a lot of these matters ?. One of my friends had one of hers (Hermes delivery), just crafting materials, torn open.

Jan sorry you need an ark ?. I've seen the forecast for your part of the world as me and my WP always keep an eye out because his sister lives in Norfolk and she doesn't like weather ?. I hope your DH's procedure goes well on Wednesday, I'm sure the skin graft will be fine. When I had the burns on my right hand I was lucky not to need any but saw others who had to. Their progress afterwards was incredible.

Grammaretto there are times when I've labelled myself a cricket accessory, adorning hmm the surroundings but not really needed or wanted either. I've got used to it but I can't say that I've ever, or will ever, enjoy it ?

Grammaretto Sat 06-Feb-21 13:24:02

Hi Lobstars,

While MrJan is watching the cricket you can come on here so that's a good. I agree it's impossible to watch. My DB played for his uni and when they came to play in Edinburgh, I felt obliged to go and watch. Did I see him score his 6? of course I did didn't I wasn't asleep under my sunhat.

Your illustrious relative sounds quite a man Mamissimo. Did you meet him or has all this only recently turned up with the DNA?
My DNA proved I am descended from a NZ politician who gets mentioned in wiki but I don't think he was a very nice man. You can't choose your ancestors can you.

You sound full of the joys of Spring NfkD even after the jab. It must be good to be back in communication again.
Talking of which, I am running late for my walk. We meet on the corner halfway between our houses and decide from there where we are headed.

Back later...

Jan16 Sat 06-Feb-21 09:13:16

Good Morning Lobsters. DH is in the garage building an Ark! It has been absolutely throwing it down all night but at least it’s better than the snow that is forecast over the weekend. As we very seldom get snow in this part of Norfolk - maybe I shouldn’t have said that!!- we are waiting with baited breath! Nfk. What about you do you get snow in your part of the County? We too have had very noisy planes about all week.DH says they are American F35s whatever they are.
Hope Doodle is feeling better today - maybe you’ve had a virus.
Good to hear from Panache but not so great about keeping in touch with your man. Difficult to get much info about patients I know.
Hope you enjoy your flowers Missedout. I spent a whole £1 on daffodils with my Sainsburys delivery! They do look lovely.
My DH has to go to hospital next Weds. Has to have a cancerous patch removed from his forehead and it involves a skin graft. He’s had so many lumps and bumps removed over the years that he is really fed up with it but never had a skin graft before. Added to that the appointment isn’t until 430 so he’s got all day to wait.
Kiamoana. Yes that was one of the fishing boats but I must admit one of the more respectable ones! Can send you plenty of photos of others! Sure there are loads in our docks that never venture out to sea. They are packed in so tightly.
So another exciting weekend awaits. We will have cricket on all morning - sure it’s the most boring sport ever - however it’s DH great love and England are apparently doing well in the Test.
Have the best day you can all of you and most importantly stay safe

NfkDumpling Sat 06-Feb-21 08:38:19

Morning All

We've had internet and mobile phone problems in our town and around about. Lots of posts on FB (when it loaded) complaining about lost signal on all networks, yet when people complained the reply was that all was well. I'm expecting a report of a mysterious crater or lights in the sky any time. The RAF/USAF have been practising aerobatics above us again over the last couple of days so I blame them. All seems back to normal this morning, DH says they don't like to play in the rain and its horrible outside this morning.

Thank you for the photo of the boat Jan. I feel we haven't seen the sea or a river in months although we did take the camperbubble to Holkham just before lockdown. Got glared at by a couple of rangers for being there. I've been wondering whether to write to the Hall to explain that many older people with campers are in them because they need the "facilities". I spent our sunny day gardening, annoying the soil and moving a few plants. DH says I shouldn't keep moving things, but I feel they often like a change of scene.

It was wonderful to read that Mr P seems to be properly in the "system" now. Hopefully this will continue when he returns home.

For comparison, we both had the Pfizer vaccine and had no ill effects whatsoever. I was actually wondering whether I had one as there was only the slightest prick and none of the sensation I usually get as the vaccine is injected. I had a slight tenderness and that's all. No after effects. Whereas the annual flu jabs often lay me low with similar symptoms afterwards. Like nasty tasting medicine I feel it works better if there's some reaction. I'm not at all sure I trust that the Pfizer jab has worked!

Missedout I'm glad your delivery of supplements from a well-known high street store arrived even if damaged. Is it the one which has buy one get one for a penny offers? We took advantage of a 25% (!) off offer but the site kept crashing and I had to ring to check it had only gone through once. And then, after a week the delivery was returned to sender by Hermes as it was damaged. Nothing happened. No refund. No re-delivery. Rang them and the wrong amount was refunded. Rang them. Got the refund sorted. Managed to re-order after much DH angst. And, after nearly two weeks, a box arrived yesterday and is now sitting on the side in quarantine awaiting unpacking.

Yesterday too, after having our fruit and veg delivered for a while, I walked to the greengrocers and shopped! Rather too much! Even bought flowers. I was the only customer so felt too safe. It was much further to walk home even though its downhill!

Panache Sat 06-Feb-21 08:20:26

An early hello from Wales to such a great lot of gangsters, and pleased to add.............so far no snow!

Not much to add on my dear man`s condition, because trying to get any info from the Hospital is much like trying to get blood from a stone!!!
Very worrying is the fact he really cannot even sustain much of a telephone conversation, whether due to his weakness or hearing I am not sure.
Already I find it soooooo lonely.

Busily attending to those odds and ends and foremost has been removing everything from our car, which is not only due its MOT but will now be returned ............a painful end to an era.......best done so that my man is not involved.

Then the vile defrosting task of our small countertop freezer (all we can manage here in a flat).......I expect it may involve some flooding!!

Trying to get all these "odds & ends" duly sorted before the real nursing hopefully begins.

Our friends are right behind us and are such a comfort at this difficult time.
Whilst I cannot thank you enough for keeping my feet somewhere on the ground,I hope that someday I shall be able to repay in an appropriate manner.

Meanwhile enjoy a peaceful but cold weekend, keep smiling through ................and do keep safe.

Kaimoana Sat 06-Feb-21 03:48:57

Mamissimo a grand old man to be proud of for sure.

I may have this wrong but I always though vaccinations were a miniscule dose of the virus itself, in order to build up immunity.
If this is the case, everyone who's been vaccinated are suffering a mild dose of Covid-19 - didn't you expect those symptoms?
As Doodle said, it does seem as if the men are asymptomatic.

I've been researching the 1st chapter of Mythos for an online book club, beginning tomorrow.
Was Kronos' emasculation of Uranos a way of stop time? By degenerating him, there would be no further progeny, so no future for that family; time stopped with Uranos.
What would you read into the name DeGeneres?

I'll get me coat........ grin

Missedout Fri 05-Feb-21 23:55:31

I'm so pleased to read Panache's post. I hope Mr P can be back with Panache again soon and they both get some much needed support.

For someone without much of an immune system, the AZ vaccine knocked me sideways. I'm hardly an energetic person (actually, I'm incredibly lazy but consider that makes me efficient grin), but for 2 whole days I have felt exhausted and keep falling asleep. I had a GP appointment yesterday morning for a blood test and both DH (not in the slightest bit lazy but he had the Pfizer vaccine the day after me) and I both overslept. I had 15 minutes to dress and drive to the GP.

I've also been sorting out my next online shop. I can't see that DH and I will go food shopping again as we used to. The trouble is, I seem to have lost my appetite. I have a breadmaker, I used to love the smell of freshly baked bread in the morning, now I dislike it. I feel dreadful for DH, who enjoys his food so much and now has a wife with no enthusiasm to cook or eat. DH isn't much of a cook although he tries. I need to get out and about a bit, perhaps that will help.

Did anyone take part in the Great Garden Bird Watch? I looked out at our feeders only to see a squirrel hanging upside down, chewing on the plastic and evidently making it into the sunflower seeds. The squirrels usually manage all sorts of acrobatics and we often watch them but one has finally damaged one of the feeders so I have to order a metal replacement.

Hearing about baby Gubbins reminds me of one of my DC. He screamed and screamed, red faced for the first 6 weeks of his life. I have no idea how we coped but it was obviously my fault at the time!

I had a recent delivery of a couple of bottles of vitamin tablets from a well-known high street store. The courier was concerned because the box was open and any packing material removed. He took a photo of it and told me that this happened a lot, especially with hand sanitisers. The seals on the bottles were intact though and I had only ordered two so I accepted the delivery. There are some pretty awful people about.

Time for bed, honestly, I could sleep for England. Goodnight all.

Mamissimo Fri 05-Feb-21 22:39:17

Good evening from a very behind and contrite me ?

I don't know what I've done today but it's nearly over......apart from the essential stuff I've been engrossed in sleuthing. I had a breakthrough with a DNA match and it was so interesting that I've been lost to the world....I'm enclosing a link because I think you'll find my 4th cousin interesting......

www.irishtimes.com/life-and-style/people/the-o-morchoe-obituary-irish-clan-chief-and-distinguished-british-army-officer-1.4106875

I come from quite a family of movers and shakers but the sad bit is that my lovely gentle, academic Dad knew nothing about his family history. He would also have revelled in the science and accessibility of DNA testing today.

I saw on another thread that the album Tapestry is 50 years old ......that made me feel 100!

I hope everyone gets good quality Zzz tonight and special thoughts to you all

Kaimoana Fri 05-Feb-21 22:11:17

Your walk sounds lovely Grammaretto - although the path sounded a bit treacherous. Glad you were careful
and didn't do a Clementine !
Any word about your df yet?

A gem from Hanna:
'Do you have any decaf coffee?'
'Yes, help yourself.'
'Can I use it on your head.'
confused

Had I misheard the original query? No, she uses it regularly on her own hair to maintain a youthful look and wanted to baptise me too.
.
I was doubly confused - I've never heard of coffee as hair dye and why on earth does it have to be decaf? grin

It's Waitangi Day (picture is the signing).

On this day in 1840 the British colonial powers signed a Treaty at Waitangi promising Maori protection plus sovereignty over their lands and seas.
Unfortunately, this, like most colonial promises and treaties, was quickly broken because the primary aim of colonisation has always been to grab land and resources, something Maori were unaware of.

Almost every year, therefore, there have been nation-wide protests, many violent, but in the last few years, spin doctors have persuaded us it's a cause for celebration, with festivals and concerts - better than violence for sure - and many millions in compensation for stolen land has been paid out but the hurt is still there for many Maori.

No festivals this year though, Covid huaketo has seen to that.

Any Public Holiday which falls on a weekend is 'Mondayised' to give workers a true day off.
As this is Saturday, we now have Monday off as well.

Last weekend was Auckland Anniversary Weekend + Monday, so it seem we're awash with long-weekend holidays.

Roll on Easter (4th April) roastchicken then ANZac Day on 25th and of course Queen's Birthday in June...

smile

Grammaretto Fri 05-Feb-21 20:46:33

I am sorry so many lobstars are out of sorts after their jabs/jags.

I love your new hairdo Doodle amazing. It has certainly grown.

I missed the post with my wool order so have even more time to consider which green out of 100s is the moss I want.

My walk today was very wet. The river was high and the path was melting ice mixed with mud. Lovely.

Anything worth watching on TV?
Thinking of Panache, Cherry and Nortsat and sending hugs.

Doodle Fri 05-Feb-21 20:04:57

Ohh yes that’s me Kaimoana very woolly headed ?
I haven’t done anything today. Just really tired. My get up and go has got up and gone as they say. ?
Hopefully tomorrow I will be back to normal.
Poor cherry hope you sleep off all the side effects and feel better in the morning.
Take care all and sleep well. I’m so sleepy too cherry ?

Kaimoana Fri 05-Feb-21 19:52:59

Where is everyone?

Usually when I make a morning call, you've all been bustling about and posting and Jeeves is clearing up.

Yes, Grammaretto a huge flaw in the system but they just tell us to contact the already overworked young manager. In fact, the email I sent to her yesterday, still hasn't been seen. hmm

I'm sure your woolly head is absolutely lovely Doodle
just like the rest of you. smile

To all who are too tired or too weary, especially after jabs - look after yourselves.

CherryCezzy Fri 05-Feb-21 19:10:00

Evening gangstas

Feeling achy and very sleeeeeeeppppppy ???. My jawline is tingling ?. Think I'll just get some sleep, I'm sure I'll be fine in the morning.

Sending cwtches to you all.

Doodle Fri 05-Feb-21 15:27:05

Good afternoon lobsters.
I slept well last night but have been quite woolly headed this morning (wonder what Kaimoana will make of that ?). Been asleep in the armchair all morning but feel much better now.
Sounds as though Gubbins’ mum and dad are getting somewhere with the new feed, which is good.
What a shame your appointment had vanished still at least you did get seen and will get your prescription. Good the GP did phone you and arrange another appointment. That’s another outing to look forward to ?
Well isn’t it nice for your neighbour to have someone looking out for him. So glad he was ok.
Hi Grammaretto I am sure all the shakes and rattles were due to the vaccination. I am feeling much better now.
Hmm. A noise coming from the log basket. Not sure I could sit still drinking tea if I thought I had a little visitor.........or perhaps it could be a bigger visitor ?. Have you found out yet?
Don’t give up on your parcel. My DGD’s birthday bag finally turned up today. It’s been back to Sweden once already. Arrived just in time for me to give it to her on her sister’s birthday. ?
Back later to check up on you all ?

Grammaretto Fri 05-Feb-21 08:14:56

Hello Lobstars,
You are a busy lot. I dearly hope the shivering etc was just a reaction to the vaccine Doodle and that you are fine now.
I hope your appointment goes well Cherry All the police activity too. I wonder why we hear more about what is going on Nationally or even internationally but in your own locality you have to rely on facebook or the person in the corner shop.

While I am sitting here I am multitasking: drinking tea, eating porridge and listening to a noise coming from the direction of the log basket. Mice?

We have no snow at all after all the dire warnings. DD is completely marooned in the Highlands.
No more news of df in hospital - which is good isn't it?

What a to-do for you Kaimoana although I am impressed that you can book appointments online at all. I am glad your neighbour turned up but it does show a weak link in the system.

My parcel never came and I had an email to say it has been sent back to the company. It is a good thing I am not dependent on deliveries.
With any luck, by the time it arrives the need for over-trousers will be over.

Kaimoana Fri 05-Feb-21 05:17:07

Oh poor you, Doodle hope you’ve de-shivvered by now.
Your Valentine’s Dinner sounds lovely.

It’s my younger son’s birthday on that day and I baked his gift …a Bakewell Tart on 30th. He took delivery early as I wasn’t sure when I’d see him again.
Gubbins slept for a whole 4 hours yesterday - that's almost narcolepsy grin

Cheery I suspect the police emergency was your barmy neighbour staging a nekkid protest.

Yep, I too had a moment of fun about MrM vibrating….what Mr & Mrs M need are separate suites, like royals.

Lovely photo Jan16 was that a fishing boat dashing along? Looked a bit too flash for a working boat.

I’ve had my own chaos today. Made a 9:45 doctor’s appointment online, though not with my own doctor, who had no morning apps available.
Hospital Shuttle got me there at 9:15 and was scheduled to return at 10:30 but in the clinic:
‘We have no appointment booked for you I’m afraid.’ shock

I was, however, able to see a kindly nurse who took details of the psoriasis cream I needed, said my BS was fine (always full of that!) and promised to forward all to my own doctor who’d fax it to the pharmacy.

I finished at the clinic by 9:40 but had to twiddle my thumbs until 11am; the shuttle having been held up at hospitals and road works.

Later in the afternoon, I walked across to my neighbour to re-gift a packet of fresh dinner rolls. No reply but an alarm sounding inside his house. shock
We have no emergency number to ring for the Sallies; none of the management staff live nearby so I could only send an email. Another neighbour looked through his windows to reassure us both he wasn’t lying unconscious and as we were doing this, he walked down the road. Phew!

True to the promise, my doctor rang for a chat at 3pm and to confirm the meds had been faxed, reminded me we hadn’t met since July 2020 and made an appointment to catch up on 22nd Feb. All good. smile

Keep smiling everyone. smile

Doodle Thu 04-Feb-21 22:41:33

Hello Cherry. What a strange day I’ve had today too.

I didn’t sleep well last night and had headache, shakes and shivers today. I spoke to a neighbour who said her friend and her husband had their vaccinations . The wife was quite poorly with shakes and shivers, headache and joint pain but her DH was ok. Later the same neighbour phoned me to say her brother and SIL had their jabs. Her brother was ok but her SIL also had the shakes, shivers and headache. My DH is fine, no side effects. It seems to only affect women. However, I feel much better now so hope that’s the end of it.

We had a Waitrose delivery this afternoon at 5pm.
The delivery driver phoned me on my mobile to say he was just getting our order and would bring it up in the lift in a few minutes.
I was standing at the front door and waiting for him when I realised I could hear a woman talking. I looked into the hallway, no one there. I suddenly realised the woman was calling my name and asking me if I was ok. I thought it might have been my neighbour so went out onto the landing to look but no one was there. I then realised the mysterious voice was my DIL asking me if I was ok. It appears in my dash to the front door I had accidentally phoned her on my mobile. She was in the middle of a zoom meeting and got concerned when I phoned but didn’t answer blush
I wonder what all the police were about Cherry. I wonder if you will find out soon. I love a mystery.
Glad you are feeling better today. Hope your vaccination goes well tomorrow and you don’t have any side effects.
What with MrM vibrating madly and Grammaretto and her naked raku, this thread will soon have an x rating ?
Sleep well dear lobstars.

CherryCezzy Thu 04-Feb-21 22:12:45

Another typo ?, should have previewed that one! ?

CherryCezzy Thu 04-Feb-21 22:11:31

Sorry about the extremely bad typo, lostenrdto [hmm[. Apologies Grammaretto, I do know you wrote listened to. Note to self: preview message blush

CherryCezzy Thu 04-Feb-21 21:35:01

Evening Indomitable gangstas, only me ?

It's all been happening in my neck of the woods today but we haven't been able to find out what happened confused. We decided we needed some air but it was drizzly and grey so we got in the car ? to go to the village behind is, I think it's allowed as it is pretty local really. We got as far as the turn before the main road only to come across a rather large police cordon ? (lots of police came and cars) with traffic being directed down the hill or back from whence we'd come from. A couple of hours later, after picking up my WP's meds we met a neighbour who said the police were still there and there were lots of them and an ambulance. We still don't know what's happened but whatever it was it looked like something big.

I phoned the surgery in the end for my meds, I wanted to speak to a human bean and even though the prescription line is another phone line subtly mention my non existent phone consultation. I was told that the Dr had rang at 3pm yesterday but received no answer hmm. I think somewhere there was a little porkie pie. I had quite a #lazyday yesterday and imbedded a large dip in the sofa so I don't think the phone rang at 3pm ?. Even if it had rang when I was occupied in another room so didn't hear the phone I still know it didn't ..... the answer machine was switched on and it's set to five rings. What Dr would hang up after 4 rings ?, a lazy psychic? ?. Oh well, I'm feeling a lot better now anyway ?.
It seems a bit peculiar to say it but I can't wait for my sharp scratch tomorrow and it seems even more peculiar to say I'm looking forward to it ?.

That's an interesting site you found Kaimoana, the woman has an intriguing accent. I had to smile at your comment Grammaretto that you lostenrdto the pronunciation of cwtch and realise I could never speak Welsh. Neither can the female pronouncer Grammaretto ? No wonder her pronunciation doesn't sound anything like mine Doodle, there was very little evidence she can pronounce Welsh words and absolutely no evidence at all that she's Welsh ?.

I love the drift of crocus Kaimoana, it brought a big cheer to my face ?. There are numerous shoots appearing in our garden from a variety of bulbs which is heartening. No peepers yet but I don't think we'll have to wait too long for some ?

I hope you had a lovely natter with your friend today Grammaretto and I hope your friend in hospital continues to have no virus symptoms.
I never used to make a shopping list but started to do it at the beginning of lockdown, it's much quicker to shop. What was it you said about old dogs ?

? Mamissimo, *Mr M was vibrating madly in bed last night. I had to read what you'd written twice ?
I missed whatever the ruck or ruckus was on a thread yesterday so I've no idea what's gone on but I did notice the sequel to the changing ? thread appeared to be a bit of a backlash to gn rules. I only read a few posts and only did that because it seemed to be the thread that was growing rapidly. I think I'd better stop there because this could end up being deemed to be a thread about a thread. These things and more are part of the reason I've felt disillusioned with GN recently (except for here with the gang).

Doodle are you sure that it's just your tinnitus playing up? After your jab you were cold, wrapped up in a blanket, shivering, had an underlying headache and aching joints and today you've had an ache across your back. Sounds like a reaction to something to me. I hope it has settled and are fine now or will be tomorrow ?
Your Valentine's meal sounds like it'll be yummy ?

Panache, some positives indeed. I'm pleased that Mr P was taken to have radiotherapy and that a friend is going to provide a little help, most of all I'm pleased that Mr P is sounding more like himself ?

My cuppa's going cold so I'm off to drink it now.

Kaimoana Thu 04-Feb-21 19:30:25

So very glad to hear your smile good news smile Panache and that your beloved man is feeling and sounding more like his old self. flowers

Doodle Thu 04-Feb-21 14:21:21

Panache so many kind messages came your way from the kitchen.
That is good news that MrP had a big dose of radiotherapy. The fact they took him by ambulance is a big plus. Glad to hear he sounded a bit more like himself. I can’t tell you how pleased I am that you have some friends who are helping you and you have managed to contact the ward even if it takes a long time to get through. I do hope he’s back home with you soon. Take care both of you.
Grammaretto we have problems with delivery drivers too. Not as bad as yours, ours just can’t work out the coded gate entry. If only they’d phone us as requested I can open the gate remotely and let them in.
Hope you get your trousers soon.
Jan that’s a lovely photo. Our river and the stream behind our flat look bleak and muddy today. The odd goose sails past at speed carried by the current but nothing else much happening.
I’m going to shut my eyes for a bit now. I ache all across my back. I doubt it’s the vaccination I think it’s more likely that my tinnitus is playing up due to tension in my neck and in trying to make that comfy I’ve made my back worse.
I wonder if that young man in your naked raku ever gets muscle pain Grammaretto. It all seems very energetic to me.

dragonfly46 Thu 04-Feb-21 13:04:31

Oh Panache you put my family worries into a cocked hat. I do hope they let your DH come home soon and that the radiotherapy has helped him.
