Welcome to our new home.
Extra comfy sofas and chairs.
A handsome butler ....well Jeeves ?
All the hot chocolate you can drink
And the most important thing, the company of good friends

Grammaretto Wed 13-Jan-21 14:59:09

I am so pleased the palliative care nurse is on the case Panache and well done to your brave man to be up for the long haul.
The meals, or lack of them, is just an irritation by comparison.

I watched the Pottery Throwdown and enjoyed it . The once technician has been promoted to judge and the new technician is a trans gender person. A tall woman with a deep voice smile Good luck to them all I say!

How lovely Kaimoana to be able to enjoy swimming again. I can't remember when I was last in apart from the North Sea back in July when we managed those few wonderful days away.

New bedding too. I must wash the ones on DS's bed. Or not, depending how the mood takes me.
There are some advantages to living alone. I sent him away with some of his dad's sweaters as he is the same size.

I often hear the shipping forecast twice Fanny The one in the morning is a bit shorter and there's no sailing by I have a daytime nap occasionally so don't suffer much from lack of sleep.

Sorry about the UTIs Missedout. I hope you can get some relief or cure.
Missy looks supremely comfortable Nortsat

Mamissimo how exciting about your special fruit trees!
I ordered a quince way back in the Summer but haven't heard if it ever arrived at the nursery.

I will have plenty of oak trees to plant later on. Not decided where yet. I believe an oak forest could take some space.....

DGD (primary 1) second day at online school. She is enjoying it and was to write about the best things of 2020. Right at the top of her list was going up and down on Grandpa's bed. He had a hospital bed installed here for a few weeks which could move in every direction. The queen of beds.

Your kitchen alterations sound really interesting Cherry. I hope the fact of such a big team means it will be finished quickly and you can take full advantage .

I'm loving the clingfilm art Doodle grin Keep them coming.

NfkDumpling Wed 13-Jan-21 14:47:56

? Mallet is at the ready.. DH is stumped too!

Doodle Wed 13-Jan-21 14:38:52

Goodness me, now Nfk sneaked past me too ?
Wow you have worked hard on that jigsaw. If you can’t get the last four in I would resort to a mallet! ?

Doodle Wed 13-Jan-21 14:36:19

Well Panache there you are coming in behind me when I wasn’t looking.
How hurtful it must be to know that your parents abandoned you as a baby. It seems difficult to understand their reasoning considering what you say about having two siblings. It would be something I would want an answer to as well.
I was hoping that things had turned a corner with your meals after the good Christmas dinner but alas I see that is not the case. It is awful you cannot rely on the meals. Giving the order so many days in advance how can they get it so wrong.
Seeing MrP in do much pain must be so distressing for you both. I hope the increased and new meds provide better relief. At last it sounds as though the Palliative care team are getting more proactive. I do hope so as you’ve been fighting this battle for so long on your own.
It’s so lovely to hear from you. Take care x

NfkDumpling Wed 13-Jan-21 14:31:28

Could your mother have gone off the rails with post natal depression Panache. Otherwise I can only think there must be skellingtons. And they've undoubtedly been well and truly buried. Can your Palliative Care Nurse have a word about the necessity of a really nourishing diet? Perhaps even prescribe a few tasty necessities!

I've nearly finished my jigsaw. Photo attached. Can you see the problem? Four pieces left - and NONE OF THE BU***RS FIT!! I spent most of yesterday re-arranging it. DH is having a go now!!

Doodle Wed 13-Jan-21 14:25:39

Cherry it would be an awful shame to miss your grant. I hope, when it’s done, your kitchen provides a safer better environment for you. If it comes with a machine that prepares and cooks the dinner, washes up and tidies up after, I want one too. ?
Accounting is coming on although DH is a bit too precise for my liking (I am of the near enough is good enough brigade) ?
Still looking for DGD small pressy. Big one is on order.
kaimoana I can imagine you walking around in a pair of hand painted wellies. ?. They are so much nicer than the plain old black ones we had as children.
I like that duvet cover. A bit like ours. We have orange and and white trees on ours.
Malibu. I like that as a cocktail. I’m sure Jeeves can get some from one of his butler friends.
Nortsat welcome to you Missy and Ollie . Better be on my best behaviour if the gangster’s molls are here. ?. I think we have 4 gangstar cats . We have Honey’s pal Fergal and your Minnie. Please tell Minnie she’s welcome to join us.
I have finally caught on to the Pottery throw down on TV and watched it last night. Not quite as edible as cakes but an enjoyable viewing none the less. So clever. I didn’t realise how much strength was needed to handle the clay and prepare it. Do you remember the black and white “ interlude” that used to appear during gaps between TV programmes years ago that featured someone working on a potters wheel?
Thanks for asking, Dude is improving every day. The challenge now is to stop him doing too much so he doesn’t hurt his back. No crafting yet. Still not got time to do much apart from run round after DH (who is not very demanding but....?). I have to go out this afternoon to collect his medication. First time I will have been out since collecting him from hospital on Christmas Day.
Grammaretto I know it’s not the same as a service where all the family and friends can gather but your description of your FILs funeral sounds like there were many loving contributions. Glad you had your DS with you for a while.
Is that deer in your garden? What a lovely view. It looks like you can see for miles in winter when there are no leaves on the trees.
I’m off to get togged up in my wet weather gear. It is pouring here. Our stream at the back of our apartment block is quite high at the moment as is the river at the front. 2 floors up I think we are safe from flooding for the time being ?
Take care lovely lobsters. ?

Panache Wed 13-Jan-21 13:59:59

These days sadly only a fleeting visit, but any time spent in here reading or computing is always time well spent.

A Lovely warm welcome to our several new faces, glad you have decided to join our happy clan.

Trying to reply to questions raised and one was by you Mamissimo regarding my grandparents, did I wish to learn more or simply run????
Although I do know my parents were married, with a 5 year old boy, reasonably well off etc I was still abandoned at the age of just 10 weeks.........yet 5 years later another daughter arrived and was kept by them.
There is only one big and vital question that truly hurts and haunts me..............WHY?
Few people of that era are alive and no one has ever spoken out.
I was interested in that particular book hoping that somewhere within I might possably find some clues.
None is the answer.

Then Kaimoana you asked how are the meals now?
Over the christmas period it really was good,no complaints whatsoever.
However it is now worse than ever.
The menu itself is rather limited, the cooking is abysmal some of the time, the portions have even diminished........most days something is missing.
Yesterday not only was my dearest`s liver & onions halved in size, his roasted veg consisted of 5 "bits" together with mash...........and his dessert,Plum pavlova was altogether missing.
On phoning down to the kitchen he had to make do with a substitute...........yoghurt.
In fact I exchanged my pavlova for his yoghurt as he really fancied it.
Still having requested this meal some 6 days in advance there was no real reason that it was not given.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

As for this bone pain it really is something else..........with yet more doubling of the pain relief, the steroids being given at a much higher dose..........further other new pain relief in the pipe line,it is altogether very frightening.
He still simply gets so little relief.
However our Palliative care nurse on her call yesterday thinks that with his strong determination and will to live, she thinks him a prime candidate for radiotherapy................and because this means yet further hospital trips ....an MRI scan, plus xrays of both femurs & legs locally, and in due course the long journey to the Cancer Hospital, she is uppings his steroids etc, kitting him up to help him in the preparation for the demands on his body soon.
We are both overwhelmed by it all but feel blessed that we do now have folk helping us on our way.

So much going on in your lives and yet I cannot spare time to comment, however dear gangsters all, quite a clan now for sure, continue to take great care, keep smiling and may you have hope as your daily centrepiece.

Nortsat Wed 13-Jan-21 11:59:14

Kaiamoana Missy has asked me to tell you that she definitely considers herself a ‘Gangster’s Moll’ now. Look at her ..

Lovely photograph Grammaretto. So pleased to hear the funeral passed off well, in these challenging circumstances.

Grammaretto Wed 13-Jan-21 11:14:56

Hello my lovelies,
It's so nice catching up with your lives after a wee absence.
FiL's funeral yesterday. What can I say? DBiL gave a heartwarming and accurate description of his dad. There were recorded songs, tributes, poems and photos.
No hugging and no wake. But DS stayed here and we had a zoom wake. I opened my Christmas wine.
DS has gone home so now it's just me and the deer.

Kaimoana Wed 13-Jan-21 11:08:03

Nortsat Gangstar moggies rather than Gangster's Molls? smile

Nortsat Wed 13-Jan-21 10:16:34

Good morning indomitable gangstars from me and Missy and Ollie, we are all sitting comfortably (thank you Doodle).

Kaimoana, very pretty duvet cover.
Your mention of Malibu with Jeeves’ hot chocolate made me think of my lovely sister. She was fond of Malibu and often had a bottle in the house. She died in 2003. So it’s nice to have a reason to be reminded of her.
Gosh swimming in the warm sea sounds soooo luxurious.
Cherry, it is concerning that Kitchen Planners are allowed into the homes of the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable, but close relatives in PPE are not.
We had a new boiler installed just before Christmas and when the work was finished, I just about exhausted myself disinfecting everywhere. The engineer had been in every room in the house, testing the radiators. He’d used the downstairs loo and been backwards and forwards through the hall.
Gosh Mammissimo that Honey Beagle is a madam, isn’t she. A loaf of bread ...
You sound as though you have a veritable orchard arriving in March. How utterly wonderful... I look forward to regular updates.
A couple of years ago, we had a nice holiday in Aldeburgh and visited the Red House, where Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears lived and made music for 40+ years.
You can go into Britten’s composition studio, which overlooks the garden and can imagine him looking out on his garden for inspiration. They have a beautiful, mature orchard. We visited in September and the trees were laden with fruit ... it was a joy.
brittenpears.org/
Hello Fanny hope you had a better night. When I was working and delivering big projects, I often listened to the Shipping Forecast twice a night ... Hope your DH is continuing to make progress.
Missedout these wretched UTI’s are so debilitating. Get back on to the doctor ... don’t leave it, they can suddenly flare up into something much worse.
Yes, do let us see your jigsaw progress!
Gosh Panache I am so pleased you are both having your first vacs on Thursday... hurrah. Are the revised meds meaning your dear one is more comfortable? It would be a considerable relief to you, to see him resting comfortably and relaxing. Sending you both very good wishes.
Grammaretto, is it still snowy there?
I too really enjoyed the Great Pottery Throwdown (Doodle its a television programme on C4. Its like the Great British Bake Off, but with Pottery instead of cakes ... Well worth watching if you enjoy creative processes). Interesting range of potters of diverse ages and experience. It must be doubly interesting to someone who makes pottery and better understands the challenges and pitfalls.
Doodle how is the Dude doing? I hope he is making progress and seeing that is allowing you to relax. Any crafting progress to share?

Have pleasant, gentle days, gang-stars ? from Norts and two of three gang-star cats x ??

Kaimoana Wed 13-Jan-21 05:50:41

Fanny I'm a life-long insomniac so one of my favourite pieces of music is 'Sailing By'. So relaxing.
When I lived in the UK I heard it every night, followed by the World Service. I used an earphone so as not to disturb DH.
Back in NZ, audio books took the place of radio, with a CD player beside my bed.
Gentle, undemanding stories by Maeve Binchy or Rosamunde Pilcher.
Perhaps listening to a story might help pass the wakeful hours - or even put you to sleep? smile

Cherry I know about 'adaptation grants' as I once had a hand-rail fitted to a very steep and dangerous flight of 18 steps up (and down) to the flat I was renting. We have a limit to what we're eligible for and this represented 50% of the total.
A month later, the landlady told me she was off to Australia. She had signed the permission to put the rail in, knowing I'd have to moveout soon after.

In 1960, no one had heard of, let alone sold wellies with patterns, so I painted my own; just one more proof to my suffering family that I was a weirdo.

The swim effect has continued to give me energy today. I even made a cake, albeit from a packet provided in a food parcel during the first lockdown.

I've ordered a new duvet cover. I haven't had a new one since the boys (now 41 and 50 grin) were small.
I don't like the mustardy side, it would have been nicer in mint or leaf green but I didn't have a choice - and it will be hidden. I'll use it as just a bedspread until the weather gets cool enough for a duvet.

BTW that's not my bedroom, it's the ad. smile

I've asked Jeeves to buy in some Malibu - it's particularly good with hot chocolate I'm told.
As I've just spent my savings on a duvet cover, I shall have to scrounge the lockdown version. grin
Onward and upward Gangstars. Stay safe and warm.

Doodle Wed 13-Jan-21 00:41:00

Sssh cherry don’t tell everyone. My new identity Banksy of the cling film. I was hoping to keep it a secret ?

CherryCezzy Tue 12-Jan-21 21:50:20

I have to ask Doodle, what caused you to become embroiled in a battle with clingfilm? Are you the secret clingfilm painter I've been reading about today? I've yet to see that artwork but apparently you're leaving them along some scenic routes for people to find when they go out for exercise. I hear that you have been likened to Banksy but have a very different style. Do you want to give us a preview of your current clingfilm piece or do I have to rootle about to find images of your completed works to show the rest of the gang ?
You must be getting quite adept with the accounting now. I hope you managed to find just what you wanted for your DGD

Hope the rest of the gang are fairing okay.

CherryCezzy Tue 12-Jan-21 21:28:51

Not a duvet day for me Mamissimo but after yesterday's excitement I have had a bone idle day ?. The most energetic thing I've done today was make a cottage pie ?. Your sense of humour is all present and correct so I'm assuming your hospital treatment was fine ??? I hope you've enjoyed your takeaway ?

Everyone who's been out and about seem to be saying it's much busier that the first lockdown last March. It can't all be due to the fact that more groups of people have been classed as key/essential workers surely. Apparently there is a high % (95% one report said) of the population complying to lockdown rules ?. I've been known to be a cynic in my time but I do think that statistic is genuine. I personally think it has to do with what type of work is allowed to continue.

This brings me back to your ponderance Kiamoana, that current rules allow all those people to come into my home. They do but in the first lockdown they didn't! This is the case regardless of the fact that I am essentially shielding. In the first lockdown only the engineer would have been allowed since he is providing an essential service, the others could not. I can't have my neice1, even wearing ppe, into my home unless she would be provided support but I can have the kitchen planners.
It's my home so I could have cancelled or delayed it but if I had I would have lost my adaptation grant as plans have to be drawn up and agreed before the end of this month. If I'd delayed, eg. until after I had the first vaccine dose (February is the target for the group I come under) I would miss the deadline and would have to wait another two years until I can apply again. I have queried whether under the current unprecedented circumstances whether time extensions are being granted. They are not. Fortunately, no work will be able to happen at the moment as that is not allowed and therefore there is a time extension in that regard. Confused? I admit I am confused

Kaimoana I love the footwear you have posted pictures of for Mamissimo's consideration. Very colourful, funky and quirky. I like a bit of quirky when it comes to clothing or footwear, as long as the clothing is comfortable and the footwear is flat ?
I'm glad you thoroughly enjoyed your swim ?. I haven't been swimming since goodness knows when.

Fanny you really do struggle with your sleep don't you. I don't know how you manage to keep going as well as you do. Whilst your DH's progress is slow I am pleased that he is making progress. Sometimes slow and steady is best ?

Doodle Tue 12-Jan-21 20:25:49

Good evening lobsters.
Cherry you had a busy day yesterday. I am glad the engineer managed to fix your boiler. That was a worthwhile visit. 4 people to plan your kitchen. I think in lockdown times I would imagine that was more than necessary but I suppose they know what they’re doing. I hope you can get it done soon.
I hope you’re not too badly bruised. In years gone by you could have gone on a fairground circuit as the tattooed lady ?
kaimoana your swim sounds lovely. Sunshine, what is that ?. I love those painted shoes. I fancy a pair myself.
That Hallelujah chorus was lovely wasn’t it. I did join in while I was watching it but I don’t think my contribution added much to the performance (a bit like my triangle playing)
Your swim certainly invigorated you. A busy day. ?
Missedout nice to hear from you. Hope your hand is getting better. Sorry you think you might have another UTI. That is most uncomfortable . I hope things improve soon and you can get out and about again. I’m not sure about mud plugging though....not sure I’d fancy that ?. You must be quite adept at IT gadgets. I wouldn’t know where to start with a router.
I second your idea of a Honey beagle blog. A dog of great character I think.?
I like your description of Jan’s wine ?
6 pieces of jigsaw......soon be finished!
Hello Fanny. Nice to see you here. I used to listen to the shipping forecast when I was a child. I’m surprised it didn’t send you to sleep ?
Mamissimo no we haven’t run away. Not sure about the others but I have been busy typing up my notes for doing our accounts and searching online for a present for my DGD.
I also had a long battle with a roll of cling film, so if you heard swearing this afternoon it was me, sorry blush
Well the gangsters will be doing well for fruit next year. Sounds like you will be busy planting soon.
Hope you enjoy your take away. I’m jealous. ?

Mamissimo Tue 12-Jan-21 18:41:07

Crikey....is everyone OK? Or is it a duvet day? Or have you all moved to escape me?

I've been to hospital today for my treatment so no riveting compost or bean news ?

I have however had a nice note from Brogdale, the National Fruit Tree Collection to let me know that all the trees I ordered in the summer are still on track to be delivered in March. This is exciting because I'm having one of the first of a new type of Apricot tree which has been bred specifically to do well in a UK climate. I also have some apples, a plum, two pears and a pair of cherry trees coming so some jolly work to look forwards to in March.

I was surprised by the amount of traffic out today....last lockdown when I went to hospital we only saw one or two cars but it was almost like a Sunday today.

We're having a takeaway from the pub tonight. DS is going to collect it for us so that we don't have to venture out. I'm a bit excited....first meal I haven't cooked for weeks.

I'll leave this echoing chamber now......but I will check back later

FannyCornforth Tue 12-Jan-21 05:54:54

Hello! smile
I'm here! Thank you for thinking of me, and DH. He's making very slow progress. He's bearing up, as they say.
I'm going to try to get some sleep now. I've listened to the Shipping Forecast twice tonight, at 1am and again at 5:30am. That's when you know that you've had a rubbish night!
I'll be back in due course.
(I'd love to see some of these pots. Are there any photos on here?)
Thank you again!

Kaimoana Tue 12-Jan-21 05:43:53

dragonfly "I don't allow many men to manhandle me"

So a few have that permission eh? You minx! wink

No, no Mamissimo green rubber shoes are not you at all. I'm including some pictures so that your imagination (and a small pack of acrylic paints) might redeem them and make them worthy of you. grin

Do you starve that poor dog? I know Labradors are supposed to have voracious appetite but ours didn't steal food. They did, however, perfect the art of looking very woebegone in order to make us feel guilty.
Sometimes it worked
Perhaps its the Beagle part in her? Hunt and kill the bread?

Panache Continuing welcome news from Wales - long may it prevail. My fingers are firmly crossed for you both. How's the food these days?

Grammaretto do you know where the border is? Can you walk the fine line either side of it keeping social distance from your family and chat? grin

Cherry it sounds like Piccadilly Circus in your house with people coming and going. I'm amazed the current rules allow it but obviously they do.

You may have heard New Zealand is politely standing back and letting other countries have first dibs of the vaccine. There are loose plans to maybe introduce it in March - unless we have another community outbreak, god forbid.

Missedout ! Yay, lovely to see you posting. smile How's the hand? Sorry the undercarriage is still giving problems; it's a miserable situation as I know only too well.

Nfk, Nortsat Jan hope you are bearing up under the new strict rules, Fanny are you still with us? How's your DH?

And Doodle is all well and peaceful in your realm? I put the link to that amazing Halleluia performance on my Facebook page and it's been much enjoyed.

Did you hear the lady on Radio 4 saying she felt Trump was angling for a place in the Guinness Book of Records - for the longest tantrum ever? Hee hee.

I came home from my swim and made a wonderful brunch of chopped, steamed silver beet and sweetcorn, tossed in a little garlic butter. Divine.
After that I cleaned the kitchen, did a mound of laundry and took part in world-wide a Trivia quiz.

Have a good day everyone, where ever you are. Stay warm, 'enrich' the hot chocolate and remember - we are indomitable.

Same root as 'dominatrix' - that's Mamissimo in her rubber shoes, keeping Jeeves 'under control' grin

Missedout Tue 12-Jan-21 00:09:32

Hello Lobstars, I'm still here, reading your news. I just haven't got around to posting.

Currently, it feels as if I have another uti (probably the same infection just not going away). I'm not too bad at the moment and am trying alternative treatment, as suggested by a specialist. I'm fed up though, I don't want to take the antibiotics again, they make me feel awful. If I have another bad night, I will have to trouble my GP again. I'm uncomfortable but not feverish or confused (no more than usual).

I was just starting to get fit again (walking/hiking/mud plugging with DH and using my exercise bike) after 3 weeks of sitting around the house. Now I'm grounded again.

I have spent a few hours setting up my new internet router with its smart extension wifi disc. It's amazing how many devices need a change of wifi password. Now our satellite dish is giving problems as well and DH wants to change his mobile phone. DH is brilliant with old engines and DIY but finds the digital world incomprehensible.

Cherry and Mamissimo, I hope your bruises fade rapidly. I think Mamissimo should blog about the adventures of Honey Beagle. Cherry, I hope you won't take this the wrong way but I'm also glad to hear that an engineer has fixed your boiler.

We went through the process of gutting our kitchen and starting again a few years ago. We had several designs drawn up and eventually chose a local company to carry out the work. After a couple of weeks of washing dishes in the bath and cooking on a mini oven and microwave in our dining room, we got what we wanted. It still looks good and works well for us.

Panache, I'm so pleased that Mr P is getting the help you both need.

Grammaretto, I also have a vital documents file but also an important documents file, a medical file and so on. I know I need to go through them all, shred what I don't need and make some digital records. If only I had that sort of energy and will power. I think I would rather do housework. shock

Dragonfly, I hope you get suitable medicines soon. Hang in there!

Jan16, perhaps your wine was from the 'Jumping Goat Vinyard' in the Napa Valley - I believe they produce a frisky little number?

Well, between us, DH and I have added 6 pieces to our puzzle today. I'll post a picture of our progress soon!

Doodle, thank you again for all you do and my regards to Mr D. Sleep well all.

P.S. Kaimoana, I'm sooooo envious! I can't remember the last time I went swimming.

Kaimoana Tue 12-Jan-21 00:03:23

The swim was magic. Sunlight on the water made it sparkle like crystal and feel like silk.
Amazed myself by managing an hour without much effort. Feel heaps better. smile

CherryCezzy Mon 11-Jan-21 19:42:00

Panache, one of these ? four times for you ???. I could kiss the palliative care nurse, the person from the Paul Satori Foundation and your surgery nurse, and hug you in happiness.
It's great news that you're both receiving the vaccine this week. Hopefully the weather will be better in two to three weeks time when you have good immunity from the virus and Mr P will be strong and steady enough ? to venture into the garden (I hope it's not closed off to you).
Don't worry about me falling out of bed (again ?). I've got bruises temporary tattoos in various colours and shades, if I had a better body I'd look as if I was covered in, abstract painting effects ?

I've had 5, yes 5 other people in my house today ?. First the engineer, thankfully not the same one as the last, came and, this time, fixed the boiler! Yippee ?. Unlike the first engineer, who was here two hours and left it in a worse condition than it was, he fixed it within five minutes! We had a leak from a valve, easy job apparently. Shortly after we had four (we were expecting three) people came out to plan out our new kitchen. Apparently that many were required to understand to configure the kitchen to the OT's recommendations ?.Two designs are being drawn up for me and I should be emailed them in the next couple of days (prior to a hardcopy). It's an ongoing saga but ?the work will finally be able to happen (if I've had the vaccine) ? in a couple of months. I'm beginning to think why am I putting myself through all this ...

Aha Mamissimo, you think the fact that you have a rainbow of colours of slightly worn ballet pumps explains your gardening footwear do you ?. That's a bit like my WP'S excuse for his gardening footwear. I bought him a lovely pair of shoes (not for gardening) a few years back and what was the first thing he did? Yes, wore them for gardening and not any old gardening either ... he proceeded to paint the fence and got paint all over them ?. I've got over it, honest ?. He still wears them for gardening now so they've had a heck of a lot of us.

Grammaretto at least you've got a box marked vital documents and you do put vital documents in it ?. I'm absolutely useless. I've got box files unmarked and even then there always ends up being lots of stuff that never even makes its way into a file ?. By the time I get round to filing the unfiled stuff it's always a daunting task, if I was organised in any way resembling organisation it wouldn't be ?

Tablet's overheating for some reason and going a bit pearshaped as I'm typing so I think I'd better post before I lose this ?

Doodle Mon 11-Jan-21 19:34:15

kaimoana I do hope the swimming is enjoyable. I can imagine it’s exciting after such a long time.
I’m hopeless with perfumes. I went through a let’s change perfume phase a couple of years ago and ended up with Si by Armani. To be honest, I can’t smell it but DH likes it.
Dragonfly we didn’t want you to be lost and Jeeves was most insistent on finding you. He can be quite manly...sometimes?
Mamissimo you certainly know how to live it up. I hope you’ll change your shoes before you come into our lovely new home. ?. Ballet pumps are all well and good but they don’t have a lot of grip. Wearing them indoors is one thing but garden shoes ?. A bit too slippy I think. Please take care. We have enough broken bones, sprains and hurty bits here already.
Oh Mamissimo the saga of Honey beagle and her loaf of bread really made me laugh. At least she was sharing it out, ?
I am quite excited at the thought of you getting the vaccine. Hope it is your turn soon. No news from our end.
3 pieces of jigsaw... well done. You’ve done more jigsaw than I have my painting by numbers. I will have to get a move on to catch up.
Grammaretto I’m glad you found your vital document .....in the right place ?
Is the pottery throw down a TV programme? I hope you keep clear of the builders next door. This new strain of the virus seems to be having quite an impact.
Jeeves has informed me he and his throwing shoulder will be round later for any tasks required. I think he likes being useful.
Panache at last some good news. The walker will certainly help MrP get around easier. How kind of the surgery nurse to pick you both up for you vaccinations. That is such a big help. Great news. Shame about the Tesco delivery. Hope you still have enough supplies.

Panache Mon 11-Jan-21 18:29:28

Dashing in with some better news that I know will be equally well recieved by you all.

However first and foremost may I just offer my sincere commiserations to you and your rather nasty trip Mamissimo.........a gal after my own heart I believe, saving the bay tree that you were carrying!!!!
Same sincere feelings for you our Cherry, another of those all too often falls out of bed, hopefully not leaving you feeling too unwell.

The Cavalry arrived this morning in the shape of our Palliative Care Nurse whom quickly doubled up on my dear man`s morphine ,and is returning tomorrow.
A cry to our Paul Sartori Foundation means a walker is being deposited here tomorrow morning.....................whilst surely one of the better bits of news must be............we are both booked in for our first vaccine on thursday morning.
Finding out how difficult things are here at this time.one of the Surgery Nurses is making a special journey in her husband`s larger car to transport us both there.........and back.
As well as delivering a rather hearty lot of shopping this evening, having heard how Tesco badly let us down at the weekend.
Some goods not delivered at all, fruit had to be disposed of immediately.

Although my man is still suffering we are both so very uplifted by these kindnesses ............and life seems living anew.

Blessings to you all as always.

Grammaretto Mon 11-Jan-21 12:33:09
