Investigations are being made into the deaths of 23 frail elderly patients shortly after receiving the Pfizer vaccine.
Why is the media in the U.K. not reporting this?

My understanding is that they were all frail and had underlying health problems. DH had the Pfizer last Thursday and absolutely fine. I would rather have the vaccine than take a chance with Covid.

Sadly these deaths are going to make the Pfizer even less popular. A lot of people were already hesitant about the way they work, different from the traditional vaccines.

Thirty-three people who died after getting a Covid-19 vaccine in Norway were all over 75, seriously ill and there is no evidence of a 'direct link' between the jab and their deaths, health officials have said.

Norway's medicine agency sought to reassure people on Monday after reports at the weekend showed a number of elderly people had died after getting the Pfizer jab.

'All of these patients have had serious underlying illnesses,' the agency's medical director Steinar Madsen told Bloomberg, adding that they were all 75 or over.

I read today the deaths have increased to 33, but Gov. said not to be alarmed!

M0nica - have they tested him recently for antibodies? If not, is it something he could request?

BlueSky Mon 18-Jan-21 23:43:56

M0nica please thank you DH for his selfless contribution, especially as I believe he’s over 70.

These vaccines were tested on NHS volunteers before Boris even announced there was a vaccine.
I know this is absolutely true as I have 2 close relations who were part of the trials. One is a midwife and the other a nurse. Neither knew if it was a placebo or a vaccine. They will be told what they had at the end of the study. They had regular monitoring for side affects and blood tests. Also the DH of one caught Covid (he's a Dr) but my relation, his wife, didnt. He was not offered a place on the trial. He has recovered now.
So to those saying it's not been properly tested Yes it has for several months.

Good news M0nica

That is amazing MOnica. Did they tell him how long it lasts for and when he will need the next round of jobs. He did get injections, didn't he?

M0nica Mon 18-Jan-21 22:44:01

We finally know. DH received the real deal, the COVID vaccination, not the alternative, in the trials he took part in last summer.

That means he does not need to be vaccinated again in this vaccination round. He has, of course, also received 2 doses of the vaccine. All we need to do is print the email he was formally sent by the Oxford research project telling him this and get it on his medical records, in case someone thinks he is a refusenik.

My dad 85 had the pfizer one on Saturday. he did get a sudden pain in the left part of his chest after about 40 mins. Not sure if anything connected.

He seems ok at the mo apart from a sore arm.

Will be seeing him tomorrow so we will see.

I think all of us have experience of poor medical practice. DD nearly died this summer because a doctor forgot to order a blood test. By the time they realised the problem, she had potentially been living under sentence of sudden death from a heart attack for at least three months. and remained in that situation for several weeks after treatment started.

Yoga girl. You can have whatever views you like but posting false information designed to place misguided distrust in the vaccine is not acceptable and gnhq has previously deleted posts which spread fake information. I’m sorry if that upsets anyone but I feel strongly about this.

Yogagirl you are making the same mistake as lavazza. The vaccine is injected into muscle, not a vein. Blood is taken from a vein.

I hope after your bad experience having a blood test you reported the issue to the surgery.

Yes I do realise that Monica just indicating that nurses & doctors don't always get it right.

My DD had her uterus ruptured by her midwife and could have died. Because of this my DD will not have any more children!

grannysyb Mon 18-Jan-21 11:30:39

My DH is a retired vet, and at nearly 83 not able to volunteer as a vaccinator, how a younger friend of his is giving vaccinations. He has had his jab and I am having mine this week, and I am delighted!

You don't believe in free speech then Lucca only your opinion counts or those with the same views as you?

Yogagirl there we should note the difference again: opinion and views which you are posting are one thing

Facts are quite another.

I remember having bloods taken from the senior nurse in the doctors. She did it wrong and the blood that should have been going into the vial went into my arm. My arm went black & I couldn't move it for weeks!

And there we have an example of the difference between intra-muscular and intra-venous Yogagirl

When blood is taken it is from a vein; when vaccine is give it is into muscle.

I don't know what went wrong when you gave blood from a vein but that, in fact, sounds most unusual - I can understand getting a small bruise afterwards, possibly because someone bent their arm after having blood taken, didnt apply pressure or if they are on blood thinners.

Oh dear, I thought the calibre of contributions to GN was better than the half-baked old wives’ tales such as those posted at 18.19 and 18.24.
Lavazza I don’t know where you got your information from but it does not stack up.
Fortunately contributions posted since yours redress the balance but your sort of scaremongering is without foundation and frankly, unwelcome.

The false Information is indeed unwelcome and I’ve reported it actually.

I don’t expect Lavazza to have posts deleted. Free speech is allowed and so far, the vast majority of well informed posters are challenging her nonsense
Thanks Lucca for asking HQ to take a look though. The last thing we need is nonsense to scare unnecessarily
