If this passes though all stages of the trials it could/may be available as a booster in the Autumn which really would be good news for the entire world!!!

Kandinsky

Makes me wonder if it’s worth having my 1st vaccine due around May.
Especially if it doesn’t protect against all variants.

Yes yes, please have it! This wonderful development won't be available for months at least, and we all have to do what we can now to keep the prevalence of the current strains low. We can always be vaccinated again if we need it.

We seem to be leading the world in making huge strides towards a more normal future. Well done to all those involved.

Well done to them! Does this mean they will re- vaccinate all those already jabbed by then too, though?Hope so.Maybe they can make it compulsory by then as well.Providing its safe for them (re health problems) then i don't see why anyone would even consider refusing any of the covid vaccines, as the alternative for everyone, including themselves, doesn't bear thinking about.

Reading your link Gagajo. I will be delighted whichever company discovers a variant proof vaccine. ??

Saw this on SkyNews last night. It’s fantastic news. And yes, I’m proud it’s been developed in Britain.

That would be wonderful. I have great admiration for scientists worldwide who have worked so hard to find a way to either beat this damn thing or protect us against it. Good news indeed.

Splendid news, GagaJo.

We can all be proud of our scientists can`t we Gagajo.
That`s the best news weve had in a long long time.

'Universal vaccine' that can conquer all variants could be available within a year thanks to British scientists!

A universal vaccine that would work on all Covid-19 variants by targeting the core of the virus instead of just the spike protein could be available in as little as a year, researchers say.

British scientists at the University of Nottingham are developing a "universal” Covid-19 vaccine which, if successful, would end the need to keep tweaking existing jabs as the virus mutates.
