Sorry if this has been asked before.
Which non essential shop will you visit first after 12 April.?
I can’t make up my mind whether to go to Dunelm or M&S.

The local charity shops! I have some really nice stuff for them as I've had a super clear out. It's nothing big so I'll pop it in my shopper until they're taking stuff in again. We have an app in my road so a lot of my things have gone already. I put in on the app and people either collect it from my porch or I leave it in theirs when passing. Can't think why all roads don't have them really. But I like to donate the good things to the hospice shop as my mother was in one at the end and I'll never forget how good they were to her.

I will have had my second jab, but jabs weren't being given when we were last allowed to go to the hairdressers. Really looking forward to going into different shops.

Charity shops - l have collected two big bags of donations - and l always like the Aladdin's Cave feeling of never knowing what you will find.

I'm looking forward to going to TKMAXX

Sonatina7 Tue 06-Apr-21 13:02:24

Have really missed rummaging around in charity shops.

Ellet

I presume you have all had your 2nd COVID jabs if you’re all thinking of hitting the shops and hairdressers?

Put the Covid Police uniform back in the wardrobe. It’s never been illegal to shop.

I prefer to wait for my 2nd jab then I'll be more comfortable.
I will try to 'shop local' as much as possible as the little shops have suffered more. The big name shops have managed online and done quite well out of it!

Barkers in Northallerton - a super, independent dept store which I am sure really needs support. Then buying books in Waterstones and charity shops. Hairdresser booked for early May.

It would have been John Lewis, but they have decided shoppers in my town are not worth it. So they are not re opening. Feel very annoyed by the decision.

inishowen Tue 06-Apr-21 12:51:52

Dare I say it? Charity shops. I've missed them so much.

Nellie54 Tue 06-Apr-21 12:50:40

My local beauty for a pedicure. Hairdresser booked as well.
Next stop fireplace shops so the archaic one can go ASAP.

The lovely card shop in our High Street - my son, DIL & GS all have b'days in May, my good friend has a milestone b'day coming up and another friend has recently moved -so I'm looking forward to getting 'special' cards for everyone...?

PaperMonster Tue 06-Apr-21 12:28:58

Quite possibly a clothes shop with my daughter - followed by an appointment at a shoe shop for some school shoes!!

Elvis58 Tue 06-Apr-21 12:26:30

I will never be converted to online shopping. As my friend says "it is fraught with disappointment " Plus the hassle of returning it.
Back to the question.l will be racing to Whitestuff, Seasalt and Clarks shoes.l can hardly wait.
I hate internet shopping with a vengeance!

Roxie62 Tue 06-Apr-21 12:25:41

My first trip will be the hairdressers. Second trip will be to get a pedicure. All booked in already. Cant wait.

Foxyferret Tue 06-Apr-21 12:24:35

It’s not a shop but I can’t wait to get to the library, I have so missed physical books. I have an iPad with some books on but it’s not the same. My hair is so long down my back but I will wait until the mad rush is over, it doesn’t bother me

Galaxy Tue 06-Apr-21 12:18:53

No Cleo you are not uniquegrinI buy pretty much everything online now.

Lollipop1 Tue 06-Apr-21 12:15:34

Hairdresser's then ZARA yay!
I can't buy clothes on line and I love shopping.

silverlining48 Tue 06-Apr-21 12:11:15

Oh Karstadt, i got my little decorated birthday candles in there to go with the pretty wooden number stands.
I am wondering if those of you who live in Europe can travel into neighbouring countries as before Covid. Apparently 20,000 people fly into the UK every day, yet we can’t fly out.
Maybe that’s another subject. Just curious.

lilydily9 Tue 06-Apr-21 12:05:59

Hairdressers, I have an appointment booked and am counting the days!
