Face masks - Please recommend the most comfortable vented mask

Vented masks are suitable only for people who want to filter the air they breathe, such as work in dusty rooms.

The vent is not designed to filter what is breathed out, so the wearer does not protect other people.

Esspee have you checked what face coverings your Airline will allow?
I urge you to do so before you spend on coverings which may not be allowed.

Re vented face-masks, they only filter on the way in. The vent is straight out. As a shop worker, anyone wearing one is effectively blowing straight into my face.

I have found silk ones from The Big Silk advertised as being the most breathable and comfortable to wear for extended periods.
Has anybody got silk masks?

Thank you everyone. I feel claustrophobic with a mask on but if that is what it takes to get to grandparent’s day at their school I’ll do it.

You can but non fog wipes for glasses which are very effective.

When I asked this question several months ago on here. I had some suggestions.
Here is one:
I tried dozens of different ones from various suppliers, and this is the one that I use on a daily basis:
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08F73TCJB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?psc=1&tag=gransnetforum-21&ie=UTF8

It comes is various colours. I buy filters in packs of 60, also from Amazon.

Very true, the vented masks havent been recommended in a long time

If you can sew, making n95 style masks could help you.
Have more room to breath and do not fog glasses.

The disposables are also a winner but not environment friendly

It never occurred to me that vented masks might not be accepted.
I can’t believe a face shield would be approved.

Esspee you really need to check with the airline as they all have different requirements. I know some require a change of mask every four hours, done do not accept vented masks.

A face shield would certainly be somewhat more comfortable to use but I am unsure of the efficacy a shield would prove to be. Perhaps a Google search may come up with the answers you need. Good luck.

Enjoy lots of cuddles from your GDs when you do finally meet up with them.

Getting to see my granddaughters will require a long flight wearing a face mask. I hate wearing a mask as my glasses steam up but wear one in shops etc. to protect others.
I need recommendations for a vented, comfortable face mask plus ideas on how to cope with extended wear.
