Elbow bumping - good or bad?

I don't fist or elbow bump. If I want to, I hug someone if it's okay with them.

Pointless - just saying Hello is sufficient.
I love the fact that I no longer have to hug people I don't know or dislike.

It doesn’t really matter to me what other people do, especially politicians/celebrities. I kiss my family on the cheek, usually a little hug to a close friend, although I’ve hardly seen much of my close friends in the last two years. I’m going out with a friend for coffee this afternoon, I’ll report back later.

Fortunately, elbow-bumping didn't catch on here in Denmark.

To my mind, people are far too close to each other if they can bump elbows.

Even worse, if you bump too hard and touch the point of the elbow it can hurt badly and continue to do so for a longish time.

I vote for bowing and curtseying too, or a polite inclination of the head.

I think it looks silly. Can’t stand high fives either.

Bowing and curtsying....love the idea.
When I worked and I opened a door for someone I always curtsied as they went through. It amused people and I loved doing it. Elbow bumping...NO, NO, NO!

Elbow bumping is ridiculous I think and as for. Prime Minister doing this looks so unsuitable it looks as though he is trying to be friends with everyone. I just say hello I don’t shake hands anymore you don’t know where they have been!

I saw that the other night and rather liked it too.

Prince Charles always does this too. I think it's rather nice.

I cannot recommend the arse bump, as suggested by MissAdventure, it didn't go down terribly well with my pals. First one I tried it with is less than half my size. I nearly knocked her into the middle of next week. A simple smile and "How do?" from now on I think.

I like the elbow……..I picked up this in Kenya when on holiday as an alternative to the the fist.

That's what my mum used to threaten to do to us. Knock us into next week.
