Proof of booster for over 65 travelling to France for pass sanitaire

I don’t think it’s possible at the moment as the NHS covid app does not accept the booster information as required past December 15th for the passé. The only option will be a negative test if access is required to restaurants etc.

Do you not have any documentation for the third vaccine? I would have thought if you can show paper proof it would be ok?
The new rule will be six months plus five weeks for the pass sanitaire.

Thank you both. I do have the vaccine card ( for all 3) but the government website states that this is not suitable. It does look like the only possibility is paying for a PCR test (and getting official proof of negative infection) , to get a temporary 3 day passé sanitaire.
Can any one point me in the right direction to discover if a night in a hotel is possible without a passé sanitaire? I am aware that nightclubs and restaurants will be out of bounds.

It is the pass sanitaire not passé.
There are plenty of French people who use paper proof not smartphones. You would normally need it for a hotel, but the only way to find out if they accept your vaccination card is to check with them in advance. Antigen should be fine, you don't need PCR.

Hi Mamie. Do you know how it got called a pass sanitaire? I'm not used to seeing the word pass like that in French, it looks like English. I wonder why it wasn't called a permis?
We use a ski pass in France but I think they call it a forfait because it is paid for.
Then there's passeport and lots of others with passe.

I'll be interested in the outcome. We have had our boosters and hope to travel to France for about ten days at Christmas but not if we have to have tests every other day as I am not sure how we would arrange that. The booster shows under medicines prescribed in the NHS app but not as a QR code. For the moment we just hope it will be sorted. We do have a card but I suspect that will be insufficient.

I apologise for my spelling. I think our proposed visit to France may not be possible- unless a work around is found soon.

It's fine to have a little smile, but maybe a little explanation could have been given too?
For anyone who is puzzled, I think the poster meant it would be good to have all the pesky health-related rules this virus has created behind us.

Thank you M0nica. The NHS App has been updated, today - and my booster ( and DH) now shows on the travel part of the app. It would now be possible to go to France after 15/12/21 and should be OK for over 65s with qualifying booster from the UK. I presume the barcode includes all 3 vaccines .

I'm still waiting for my booster so I doubt whether I will make it over to France before Christmas. Luckily our current property there is a new build in town and thankfully no longer a cold granite longère in the sticks, though I did love it.
On a different note, I might have discovered that if my dogs become French with a French passport and a friendly French vet, I can avoid a lot of the costs back and forth!
