Booster jab side effects.

I had Pfizer jabs on all three occasions. No ill effects with the first two. After the booster, I felt really bad for a day and a half, then just as I was starting to feel slightly better, I collapsed,panting for breath and had to go to A and E There I was diagnosed with pulmonary embolisms in both lungs and was kept in for two days on oxygen and blood thinners. The doctors said it was just a coincidence, the ward sister said it was probably due to the booster.I shall never know for sure but I feel in my guts that it was a Covid reaction and suspect that the vaccine was injected into a blood vessel instead of into muscle and that the irritation of the lining of the blood vessel caused a blockage and the formation of thromboses. Just my theory!!!

I'm not a doctor, but I wonder if some of these 'reactions' might in fact have nothing to do with the vaccines and everything to do with the time of year and the fact that there are lots of bugs going around at the moment. After a year when many of us have had little contact with the usual viral bugs there are perhaps many more than usual doing the rounds.

Sore arm the day after the jab otherwise felt better than before the jab the following day, I sincerely most of the reactions are all in people's heads. You expect the worst you get the worst. I saw it as a way to stay alive and not get sick, no reactions whatsoever

Newbie here , good evening to you all . Had booster , that evening severe stomach pains ? Very unusual for me ! Then diarrhoea for three days ! Felt washed out with a headache. Only recently beginning to feel well . As a former nurse it seems a coincidence but food did not taste right either . So I do sympathise. The needle does go into the muscle IM , other vaccinations are just under the skin SC . So that would make it more painful. Covid self test negative.

Is it the jab or is it, coincidentally, the ghastly (non Covid) virus that is doing the rounds?

First two were AZ,a nd apart from feeling shivery the following day had no other side effects.
The booster was Pfizer (why wasn't it AZ like the first two?) and felt rather poorly for a few days, but OK now.
We're both very glad that we're fully vaccinated.

I had 3 Pfizer jabs, and all three, my arm felt like a donkey had kicked me in the arm. I had the booster in October and its only now the pain has gone. I have the same reaction with the flu jab but not as bad. After hearing how bad my duaghter was for 5 day with Covid and how she is still suffering with joint pain and extreme tiredness, I'm glad I had the booster.

My booster was Pfizer and had no reaction at all except feeling exceptionally hot in the middle of the first night after the jab. Funnily enough my sister reacted in exactly the same way. But nothing else for either of us

No side effects at all from any of the vaccines. First two were AZ booster was Pfizer.

Had Covid in January. Astra Zeneca vaccinations in March and May - slightly achy after the first AZ and a bit poorly after the second. The Moderna booster shot made me feel terrible. Shook so hard that I found it difficult to press a couple of paracetamols from their blister pack. Terrible fatigue and felt quite ill for 4 days. My 93 year old dad had 3 Pfizers and was fine. My husband had 2 AZ and a Pfizer booster and was fine.

All 3 of my jabs have been Pfixer
1 No reaction
2 Felt hungover for a day or 2
3 Really awful, if only I'd had the good time my head and stomach were paying for.
If we need 4 and 5 etc next year I'll have to have them as my husband is CEV and I work for NHS so can't afford to catch the blessed thing.

I was not at all well after the first AZ jab, slightly better after the second. I've got my booster jab tomorrow but don't yet know what kind it is. Was surprised, given all the fuss, that I wasn't called up for my booster jab - I had to book it myself.

No after-effects at all & Mr 1968 just the same.

I don't think that's a very reliable site as it advertises "quack medicine" .....for one thing there are no large blood vessels in the injection site (unless you have a really unusual blood vessel network) therefore chances of injecting straight into a blood vessel are vanishingly small which is why that site is chosen in the first place.

Apart from the Brachial artery, there are a number of viens in this area. Hence the importance of aspiration.

Reading the above makes me feel very boring/lucky. 2 AZ, a flu and Moderna booster -all with no ill effects, not even a sore arm

Very sore arm after 1st AZ, sore arm after 2nd but not as bad. After the 1st AZ also had a very dodgy tummy on day 3 but just lasted that day. I wasn't sure if it was related or not. Then had Pfizer for booster and again slight arm pain. I've had a few days of feeling more tired than usual but probably could be other causes such as poor sleep. Had the booster in late October and still having occasional tired days but hopefully nothing to worry about.

Had no ill effects with the first two AZs but had a truly sore arm with the Pfizer booster and felt achy and unwell for a day. The DH had to take a day off sick and spent it in bed with his Pfizer booster. He, too, had a very sore arm.

I had the AZ for the first 2 was a bit off colour for 24 hours with the first but nothing with the second.
My booster was moderna and I was at least twice as ill with it and my arm hurt.

A different side effect. When I went for thé two yearly breast X-ray and echograph, the technician knew I had had the vaccine because the lymph nodes near the arm were swollen.

First 2 were Pfizer and no side effects, just a sore arm. The booster was also Pfizer, I had a headache that would not shift the next day, then I woke in the middle of the night with excruciating pains in the stomach. Chronic diarrhoea started and went on for around 5 hours which then became just passing just blood for a further couple of hours. I fainted twice and my blood pressure dropped to 85 over 50 and my pulse to 45. I felt a bit wobbly for a couple of days. So yes I suppose you could say I had side effects.

As for the first two vaccinations I had no side effects whatsoever ....not sure why some people do and others don't ? someone I know had to take to their bed for two days (mind you, that sounds like a good excuse ........where's my p;j's !) I hope however no one suffers from a jab and dies, as has been reported. Stay safe !

well its only anecdotal but I get less colds than my sisters and I did get jab side effects

Had my booster (Pfizer) on Thursday afternoon. Spent all Friday in bed. Chills, aching all over, and threw up a couple of times.
