Which does not seem to mean that we are actually doing anything. Just talking about what we could be doing and the implications of widespread infection.

'Hospitals are expecting NHS England to declare a national incident within days, meaning decision-making will be more centralised. It will probably lead to routine operations being cancelled once more'

Behind the curve. Again. They could have reintroduced distancing, curbed socialising etc. etc.

Last winter I was stockpiling in case of a no deal brexit and I’m glad that I’ve still got plenty of lentils (even though I’m sick of them). Because, if everyone comes down with the new variant, albeit mildly, the supply chains that have managed to keep going throughout the pandemic will be in serious danger of breaking down.

Even if Omicron is not serious if many people get it and take time off work that could be serious in many ways.

‘Get Boostered Now’. The new 3 word slogan from Boris.

And of course hospitalisations. There have been the first few this past couple of days. We really don't want hospitals filled with covid cases again.

Scared isn’t it.

Scarey isn’t it

Actually here’s a thought. If people don't get jabbed these people are effectively a control group.

Dear God.

I just console myself having had the one jab as well as the 'flu one, so I'm offered some protection but I won't be mixing, meeting, shopping ( apart from online deliveries ) or dining with anyone. Just me and the cats-----again grin
It's no big deal to stay germ-free.
