Do you think his exemption from covid vaccination is a bit odd? I understand Australians are not happy about letting him into the country and the likelihood is that he will be booed when he plays according to Andrew Castle.

How typical that Frogface Farage who so admires Australia's control of its borders should now be protesting about Australia's control of its borders.

Djokovic that is.

maddyone Mon 10-Jan-22 11:04:10

I don’t actually believe that he had Covid.

Didn't he make a lot of money as a trader? Might have got through that by now though.

Do you mean like Del Boy? grin grin

It seems very fishy that Novak knew he was going to be infected with Covid when he applied to enter the Australian Open (which must have been some time ago).

He obviously wasn’t going to have a vaccine and was relying on the Covid infection “at the right time”. He’s playing an arrogant anti-vax game. And then spreading it everywhere he goes by not isolating.

And who has supplied the proof that he’s had Covid (just at the right time)? Dr Seuss?

Same here Smileless and I believe you’re right about the three year thing.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the judge's decision is overruled. He'll then be given the opportunity to leave or he'll be deported.

If he's deported I think he wont be able to apply for a visa for 3 years.

Gwyneth

Does this now mean that anyone can enter Australia unvaccinated if they can prove they have had Covid? As Novak was seen maskless in public after a positive test it casts doubt on his statement that he had tested positive on the 16th December. It’s a disgraceful situation and I have lost all respect for him. Clearly he doesn’t care about the Australian people at all. If the court decision is not overturned then I don’t see how the Australian government can stop anyone unvaccinated entering the country.

More seriously I totally agree with Gwyneth. It is indeed a disgraceful situation. It’s wrong on so many points. It gives out the wrong message, it tells us yet again that money and fame talks. He was pictured presenting awards on December 17th, so how on earth could he have been positive for Covid? It’s a terrible example to our young people the world over because in my opinion it is certainly not sportsmanship.
Selfish, arrogant, and entitled is my description of this horrible man.

maddyone Mon 10-Jan-22 10:13:58

Oooh, how exciting! A Gransnet grand slam. Do you think they’ll let me in to watch? I am triple vaccinated and I’ve had Covid. Can’t claim to play tennis, but like watching it.

Lucca Mon 10-Jan-22 09:47:03

Well if you’re in Sydney when I am we could have a game !!

PamelaJ1 Mon 10-Jan-22 09:36:36

Lucca

So the breaking news is that he has won his battle to stay in Australia. hmm
All I can say to Grans who have not seen their children or grandchildren for over two years, is you’d better brush up your tennis as that seems to be the way in . ?

Maw you can get in anyway if you are the parent of an Aussie citizen, which my son now is.
I play tennis plus am fully vaccinated….?

I have all 3 qualifications too. DD is Australian, I’m vaccinated and play tennis.
In fact Lucca we have more qualifications than No-vac.
However I don’t think we would get in if we applied for a visa on the 17th Dec and announced we were positive. I think we would still be waiting.

Where does Farage get his money from? Who is supporting him?

Lucca Mon 10-Jan-22 08:53:43

Idiot Farage, why is he supporting the Djokovic camp ??
Recording of him in trophy room…no masks obviously.

Nice tweet from Sir Andy

Jaxjacky Mon 10-Jan-22 08:43:50

That made me laugh GG13

GrannyGravy13 Mon 10-Jan-22 08:41:06

JenniferEccles

Has he GG13? Where did you see that?

It’s on GMB, he has four hours to appeal.

Ironically he is not allowed into his Solicitor’s office as they have a no jab no admittance policy…

JenniferEccles Mon 10-Jan-22 08:40:18

Thank you. I had read that the Immigration Officer may possibly intervene.

Jaxjacky Mon 10-Jan-22 08:38:14

Garage is on ( yet another) publicity drive. He was on Any Questions last week too.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 10-Jan-22 08:31:11

He has been re-arrested…

Iam64 Mon 10-Jan-22 08:30:44

I just heard the Australian government seeks to overturn the Court’s decision on novax.

MayBee70 Mon 10-Jan-22 08:28:22

Why the hell is Farage getting involved?
