No expert in reading figures but according to the last I found on the Gov.uk database Wales has 2577.6 per 100k and England has 1786.8
Can you compare Wales and England for areas of concentrated population

Exactly what Ro says.
Drakeford is playing politics ( it’s what they do) and is seeking to lesson Welsh annoyance/anger about the restrictions there.
The even more draconian measures taken by some other countries in Europe doesn’t appear to be doing much and is affecting economies and liberties there.
I think given the advice by the chief medical advisors here, then the government here have got it about right.

As scientists speculated last week, it does seem the virus has peaked and with most of us fully vaccinated we have reduced the virus down to the equivalent of a winter flu.
If Johnson did move us to the next Level I'm sure we would have riots, protesters, MPs rebelling - all costing the state - (we tax payers)
I'm hoping Enland has done the right thing but will hold my breath for the next few weeks. Fingers crossed.

Mark Drakeford has accused Johnson this week of avoiding taking additional action to protect the population from Covid. Wales has more restrictions and as far as I can make out, fewer infections per 100,000. The state of he country would seem to indicate that he has a point. Death rates have been lower than with Delta, but there's a huge wave of disease sweeping the country. NHS and social care are on their knees with no sign of a let up, military staff are working in London hospitals. I wonder why more people are not calling the government out on their lack of actions? When did this become OK?
