I expect that's why I never know about all the shortages - don't have twitter ? It's my belief a different manufacturer a month pays someone on Twitter to mention a shortage so everyone will rush out and buy it whether they need it or not. They need to recoup their lockdown losses after all.

One of the cabinet said on the radio they are not going to stop supplying them. I have to test quite a lot as my daughter is in 'care' and it is for the safety of the staff and other resident too. The care provider can supply me but I've just been going through the NHS site. I can't help thinking there must be a cheaper way of supplying them though, there is so much packaging

So, why, after doing the media round did he then retweet a link to the story in the Sunday Times?

and knowing how ministers are sent out to lie for the government on TV and radio why does anyone believe him?

Like most people, I think it is time we got on with our lives, but several points bother me:

I am happy to stop testing if medical guidance says so, not because there is a charge for the tests.

Ordering a couple of packs of LFT is not stockpiling, it is making sure we have enough in the house for two of us to test before going anywhere we may be in close proximity to others, especially vulnerable people, as recommended by Whitty et al.

My biggest issue is not believing anything this government say, having a liar for PM does cause a credibility problem.

The reported deaths are people who die WITH Covid not necessarily OF Covid. There is a big difference. I'd like to know how many of those people would've died of something else anyway.

We need to learn not to press on if we are feeling ill and stay at home even if it's "just a cold" for everybody's sake.

A lot of people have co-morbidities which are not life threatening. Would they have 'died anyway' if they had say, asthma, diabetes, obesity, angina? I suspect that the number who had a terminal condition as well as covid is probably very small.

I find this nit picky debate a bit useless. If the death certificate gives a cause of death as covid, then that's what killed them, not the other 'condition' they may have had.

I think it is wonderful in the UK having free LFT kits, but I dont agree with people stockpiling. People should test if they have symptoms why do it otherwise no wonder there arent enough test kits to go around.
Where we live we have to pay the equivalant of £6 for one, no stockpiling here,and no unnecessary testing either,we live in Scandinavia that says it all.

Not cynical but it’s what other countries have been doing all along - France Germany Italy together have tested less than the UK so no wonder our cases are so high.

Does any one know how they count their COVID deaths? The with or of question?
