aprilrose, I despair. I suppose I should feel sorry for you and your lack of knowledge.

I will ask again, where is your evidence? You seem to know a disproportionate number of people, who have suffered as a result of vaccination.

As someone, who is immunosuppressed and have done my research, I have had EIGHT VACCINATIONS and intend to have as many as I am offered, for they have kept me out of hospital!
I prefer to take the advice of my clinicians, rather than someone, who appears to be very ill/uniformed.

I have to say, you have given me a good laugh there - wait until I get seriously ill. Like I will . We all do eventually, but it wont be covid and I dont suppose it will be a sudden death or medical episode either .

Coronavirus is a cold virus. They mutate constantly and are unstable ( I remember that from my viruses 101) . Thats why the old Common Cold Research Unit couldnt come up with an effective cure or vaccine in 40 years of trying. If you are getting that sick - ask yourself why ( especially if you have had your jabs).

If the vet jabbed up my cat for some virus as many times as you have been now, and then he still got the virus afterwards. I would be asking questions. Thats all I am saying.

Sorry you are sick. But you know, - why when you have so many boosters in there?

I havent had the vaccines - none of them. I had covid in 2019 ( right at the beginning) and so decided my immune system didnt need anything else and since I had a cousin who died from an adverse reaction and two other relatives who died with ( not from ) covid following vaccination, I thought I would just wait and see. It didnt feel right to me .

I know a lot of people here wont like that. I havent fogotten those people threatening to lock me up, deny me treatment , refuse to allow me to go places and would have liked me to wear a badge because I was "Filthy unvaccinated" . Nor have I forgotten the lockdown and people jumping out of my way and things like that. It was a mad time. I havent said much since.

I havent had a single cold or flu or covid or anything since 2019. This despite working in a face to face environment with the public. ( I used to reckon on four colds a year before 2019).

My husband didnt take the vaccine. He hasnt had any cold or covid even as far as we both know. This despite being round me when I got it in Nov 2019 ( I got the so called delta).

I dont think the jabs are any good. I have seen lots of people suffer illness following them. I have seen some pass away ( unfortunate I guess). I have seen several others get various degrees of reaction and disability following. I know its not everyone. I know some swear by the vaccines. Fine but lets get some proportion here and maybe take a few steps back from the noise . I know a number of people like me, unvaccinated ( some also like me who had covid early, before the vaccines) and none ( thats zero) have had a cold or covid since 2019/early 2020. We exchange notes sometimes on it because it seems strange how so many keep getting vaccinated and keep getting covid.

Its a choice but I cant see how anyone can say vaccines made their covid less severe. Those I know who are not jabbed up, have had no covid at all. Those who took the vaccines have had covid loads of times and suffered a lot. It doesnt seem to be doing much in my experience.

Just thought I would say. People can think what they like. Its just my experience.

I believe that having the vaccination means the symptoms are less serious than if we didn't. There may be some exceptions of course, but generally I think it's true. I shall continue to accept them when offered.

We avoided covid until last Easter, we had just been to Amsterdam, and the trams were very crowded. DH was worse than me, but his chest is weaker. We've both had all the jabs, I've had eight, I think we would have been much worse without them

A complicated and quite unpredictable subject, it seems.
Sometimes you wonder if it is a bit of a postcode lottery type thing, but very much appears not to be.

I was Covid free for the first 3 years but have had it 4 times this year. On the 4th occasion I had been given my booster a month earlier!

Like many others I thought those refusing the vaccine were irresponsible. I think I need to do more research before I have another booster, assuming we are offered them next year.

My sister, my grandchild and DDIL has all go Covid at the moment. My sister and DDIL are really poorly with it but they haven't had the last round of vaccinations. They both have other health problems and didn't want to risk being unwell by having the vaccinations. I have had all my vaccinations and am hoping to keep on top of things!

Had 3 vaccines and passed out unconscious on third day after each one. So I won't be getting any more. They don't suit everyone. However, I've had all other vaccines and never had any reaction to any of them apart from a slight temperature and sore arm.
I caught covid from a young boy coughing in a packed lift and had a chest infection after it needing steroids and antibiotics. Hope I don't catch it again.

I have knowingly had covid once, in March 2022. The worst symptom for me was complete and utter exhaustion. However, I think covid was around long before the lockdowns. I am it was in the general Chinese domain by September 2019 and had spread as far as the UK by the end of November that year. People up and down the country were complaining of a particularly nasty virus, the likes of which they had never had before. I caught it just before Christmas that year and it was the worst I had felt for many years. The worst symptom was difficulty in breathing (l have had asthma all my life) but this was no ordinary chestiness. It felt as if my breath was being squeezed out of me. When covid was becoming official in 2020, we were given a list of symptoms, which were remarkably like those l had had the previous December. I am convinced it was covid and others who had the virus at around the same time as me have said the same. It seems too much of a coincidence for it not to have been.

The problem is that you never know how Covid will affect you. I managed to avoid getting it all through the lockdowns but caught it at Easter this year really badly when my acquired immunity from the last vaccine was waning. Have now got heart problems which cardiologist suspects are due to the virus. Please don’t give up on the boosters if they are recommended!

I thought it was just a bad cold so done a test and was shocked that it was positive .

I can only imagine how worse things may have been had I not had vaccines!

You are the one who needs to check further undines. Are you not aware of the investigation into this doctor?

I too haven’t had Covid that I know of. I’ll keep having the vaccinations.

I have have had Covid twice and felt very rough, I have had 5 vaccinations. A lot of people are not interested in testing themselves and carry on their lives as normal and I do believe its a virus we have to live with, just like Flu and the Cold.

A cousin of my DH is anti-vacc. I think it's a really selfish attitude and I did challenge him.
He's never tested himself if he's had any kind of fluey cold, so how does he know he hasn't been infecting others?
I'm very grateful for the vaccine. I have once had Covid, but wasn't very ill.
