🦞🦂 Lobstars 🌟 still shining bright 🦞🦂
(1001 Posts)It began as group support during difficult times and although Covid has faded a little, the friendship has endured and become stronger.
Still here for anyone to join a non-judgemental, caring thread during the often challenging time in life.
I'm a newbie - found friends after lockdown. Grateful to them for being so warm.
NN you look stunning. What a lovely photo. Thanks for sharing with us.
Oh aren't you a lovely happy couple!
NN our own Lobstar bride 👰♀ 💕 💞 ♥️
That's made my day xx
Oh Neine, you are beautiful - AND to find the time to think of us!❤️
Hello all. I’m melting here. Such a hot day, Birch this morning then hospice this afternoon. Very pleasant sitting inm the shade by the lake but it was still very hot.
Hope the weekend has gone well NN
Love to all
I’ve not been up to anything really exciting today. I had my hair done at lunchtime and it was really hot out. I was so glad to get home.
This afternoon, I have been rewriting my will to include my new great-grandchild! I am trying to get everything in order so that things will be as straightforward as possible when ‘the’ day comes. Not being morbid but I don’t want my lovely daughters to have any doubts as to what is what regarding my property etc, Thankfully, my whole family gets on well so I don’t want anything to change that.
I had planned a quick walk along the seafront afterwards but there was an icy wind. Can’t think where that came from given the heat at lunchtime. It’s a job to know what to wear when one goes out as it changes hour to hour.
Tomorrow, one of my adult grandsons is coming to visit. He has stayed away for the last three weeks as he got Covid (not too badly, thankfully) and didn’t want to risk giving it to me. (I have a few health issues that don’t react well if I have a cold). He and his partner have just adopted a rescue dog and they are in the process of introducing him to their two cats. All is going well, so far, but the dog is never left alone with the cats.
And that’s about it for me!
Is today the day?
If so I hope it's been wonderful, special, romantic, funny and perfect in every way.
And not too hot!
Apparently England is experiencing a heat wave. Here it's nicely warm but with a cool breeze.
I concentrated on the pottery today and then got stuck into a food safety course online
tedious I had Gaelic café too. 2 new people have joined and there is a movement to start Gaelic lessons for school children in the Borders. There are none at present.
What's everyone else up to? Besides the bridal couple that is. 😂🤣
Have a wonderful dayNN
Love to all the lobstars
Wishing NN and soon-to-be husband all the very best for a beautiful wedding and a loving future together.
Best wishes for today, Naughtyneine! Hope the weather stays wonderful. Have a wonderful future. 🌺

I don't know what a Lobstar is but I think anyone can be one!
I expect they are a particularly friendly version of a lobster???
They existed long before I found them!
Hello Crossstitchfan 👋
Hello NotSpaghetti!
A bit late, but better late than never! One of these days I’ll get the hang of this Gransnet lark! (But don’t hold your breath!)
Love and happiness to you both NN hope you have a wonderful day. X
NN - sending you love and best wishes on your *special day*🥂.
I will be thinking of you both😍.
No Doodle, I am not a blonde bombshell, sadly.
Blonde, yes, bombshell not so much so, these days.
Kaimoana, what a dreadful postal service. I hope your leaves arrive soon. How are your cardiac discussions and options going? I seem to have lost track, apologies.
Off to source more
now vintage I-Spy books. There's a blast from the past. The ones I tentatively sent the boys went down a storm, so now the hunt is on to find other titles suitable for the southern hemisphere.
Success - and not an App in sight.
Hope springs eternal ...

Oh ladies... What can I say... What an absolutely wonderful beautiful surprise. Made so special by your lovely words. Not Spag...I will think of you all when I dance in the shallows in my beloved Tenby.
When I was young, I spent all my school holidays in St David’s with my grandparents and one of our favourite days out was to Tenby. I adored it there, the beaches, the pretty town, so much that I loved. At that time, there was a horse and cart based in the Square and you could hire him for a ride around Tenby. His name was Sampson, if I remember correctly.
You are very lucky to live in such a lovely place, and so near Bosherston Lily Ponds, Stack Rocks etc. I envy you. I have so many happy memories of times spent there long ago. 🏴
Hope all goes well and you don't faint NN
👰♀
I'm looking forward to hearing all about it.
Good luck 🍀
Ooh ouch the hair treatment ixion.
These products terrify me , ever since I had my hair coloured for a DS wedding. My scalp stung and I looked awful. So awful DD said I should sue the hairdresser.
I wore a hat.
Good news from Naughtyneine - very excited for you for this new phase of your life.
Oh no Kaimoana - I really thought you would at least have had the kumerahou in your hands by now. 🙁
I really do hope it IS quick acting.
Sometimes dried herbs are more potent... have you tried this dry before?
🤞
Sending a quick 'love to you all' it's been a bit mad here the last few weeks...a few wobbles ( not about DH just a bit overwhelmed by everything). I am looking forward to catching up with you all next week when life will return to normal.
PS The dress fits and nobody should faint...apart from me xxx
NotS - kumerahou not yet arrived. NZ Post only delivers twice a week unles the vendor has courier facilities which this one did not. Plus we had a Public Holiday Friday.
As mail can take 10 days just to get across town, I am not hopeful for anything until next week.
Still thinking good vibes for you.
Your little visitor is lovely Grmmaretto . Are you due a new helper soon?
Good luck for Monday. It will make such a difference for you.
Ixion that’s not good. Sounds like there should be a real warning with that stuff. Hope your eye is better soon. How the hair ?
Notspaghetti. You’ve got so much going on at the moment I’m not surprised you find it a bit overwhelming.
My hand isn’t really the issue although it doesn’t help. I just miss DH and some times I find it harder to cope with than others. I will be ok but thanks for caring.
You to Grammaretto thank you for thinking of me. No doubt things are the same for you at times when a memory triggers something,
Appointment is next Monday. Hope I pass.
I wonder whether you should start feeding your little chap chips, Grammaretto? A precursor to his adult life.
A commission - how exciting! But not a lot of time there, is there?
I guess as a commission, you won't be able to share it with us.
Boo hoo.
At my hairdresser 's suggestion, I purchased a bottle of hair jallop she recommended to put life into dull, blonde hair.
Well, I went home and bought it,
salon free on eBay.
It is a rich purple colour shampoo, stains neither me nor shower tiles, but one splash in my eye has rendered me temporarily visually impaired. A swollen eyelid, black eye and sty-like outbreaks along my lash line. Oh, and blurred.
Drops from the pharmacy. You know the score - one in the eye as directed, following 4-5 mis-hits down the cheek.
At least I won't be doing this for the requisite 5 days.
How are our Lobstars today?
My German friend has left 😢 so I am by myself again.
I've accepted a commission for a wedding present teaset. It's not NN is
it? I have only 2 weeks to produce it.
Cataract operation on Monday so I'd better make the things before then.
He/She is still going strong. Parent on top of the highest chimney. You'd think I lived near the sea.
Kaimoana I hope your special herbs are starting to work...
How long does it generally take to feel the benefits?
I hope it'squick acting.
So many of us in the wars one way or the other.
Xx
