It began as group support during difficult times and although Covid has faded a little, the friendship has endured and become stronger.
Still here for anyone to join a non-judgemental, caring thread during the often challenging time in life.
I'm a newbie - found friends after lockdown. Grateful to them for being so warm.

(1000 Posts)I thought you may like to see the development of my husband's lovely tulips.
Here they are. The tall white ones came up suddenly and are open already.
I can't believe I didn't used to like them!
Am trying to message people about this thread but I can't seem to do any more for reasons that aren't at all clear.
I know I haven't messaged several people - including Cherry and Rosie but I can't get in my messages now.
Apologies all.
💐
*I am now a fully paid up member of the Lobsters ( see pic)..and before the GN snoop and sneak patrol get all hot and flustered...that is not my cleavage ( albeit my cleavage doesn't look dissimilar). We are in
Tenby in West Wales in Henrietta moho and the weather is glorious)*
I am going to go back into our last posts and catch up with with all the news.
I hope all is well with you all.
Ps... There were 2 wedding dresses but I mutilated one as I looked like a meringue in it and even when I cut out the voluminous underskirt the excess material made me look as wide as I am tall.....5ft 7in in case you are wondering...the second one was obviously worn by someone who had had her boobs inflated to 50psi and even though I am generous in the bust area it's going to need taking in.... Unless I want there to be an audible gasp as I enter the church and our parish priest fainting...
OK. So now we are waiting for the photos...
Notspaghetti thank you so much for opening us up again. I’m always amazed when we reach another 1000. I have messaged Kaimoan, Cherry, Ixion and Nfk.
Those tulips are lovely. What a lovely colour the pink ones are.
Grammaretto I do hope your son and family are ok. They certainly have more than their fair share of storms don’t they.
Have you had beautiful sunshine today like we have? Had lunch out with my art group. So nice.
Naughtyneine you most certainly are a full member of our little clan. Now we are all agog waiting for the cleavage pictures. 🤣
Lovely Naughtyneine!
are there crabs?

There are... dressed and ready to eat and tomorrow one has my name on it. We are on tenterhooks here... Today our Annulments went to trial..... We have both been married before..and we want to be married in the eyes of the church too...DH became a Catholic 2 years ago and we are both hoping that we can have a proper nuptial mass on June 28th. It isn't something either of us has undertaken lightly and my nerves are stretched to the extreme....so being able to be at a place that has always soothed my soul has been wonderful. Tomorrow is another day as they say....it feels like a pregnancy that has gone over a due date ( I remember that so well)....the end is in sight.
Thank you for letting me know where you were, I got both messages!
I just got back today from three nights up in the wilds of north Norfolk in Felicity with Kira and a few friends. Stiffkey which is in the posh bit. It's also a bottle neck on the coast road with high flint walls and a narrow winding street. So few stop there as there's no parking places and no footpaths. It was good to be able to explore around there a bit and the views from the campsite across the salt marsh are wonderful.
And, it gave me a chance to try out my new Duvalay sleeping bag/duvet thing which was on the last link on that last post of the last thread Grammaretto!!! !t's brilliant! Sleeping bag one side and duvet the other and I don't get in a tangle any more!
I've put on a couple of respectable views from the campsite and the Coastal Path while we wait for those cleavage photos.
Naughtyneine
We are keeping fingers and toes crossed for you both and pray you have the annulments you need.
🙏
Is that a Knees-in-the-Sun pic, Neine ? So pleased you’re having a healing time in Henrietta MoHo, though assuming it’s been quite warm with your hairy children’s heavy breathing!
We’re off to the Lot this weekend….with only 1 hairy ‘child’ ….who has his own bedroom because he’s scared of rain and windscreen wipers. A complicated story but proof that when rescued by us, he’d never experienced noisy, wet weather. DH has been known to threaten him with a trip to Britain, but suspect his little doggy nerves would fail him. Hence he has his own cupboard in our motorhome just in case of meteorological mayhem.
I just love NotSpag’s tulips (on the previous thread.) Simply beautiful. Ours faded weeks ago. We now have roses, orange blossom, osteospermum and almost a ton of jasmine.
I’ve gardened today, slowly since it was very warm, and am thrilled that GB seems to be getting early summer weather. May Day here celebrated by handing friends and loved ones a gift of a little posy of Lily of the Valley/Muguet des Bois. Also a day’s holiday here in 🇫🇷. I heard my first Hoopoe bird, not far away. I do love them, they’re so comical. My expected annual visitors - a pair of Black Redstarts (bespoke nest made by them in earlier years), and our Swallows, who are late this year, and for whom Mr GF has installed a lovely pair of German-built nests, because the poor souls couldn’t get mud to stick on our walls last year. I thought they were just cowboy builders, but it seems that modern building materials, and not their skills, are to blame. So, we now await ‘the ingrates’ as I think Ixion called them. 😄.
Sending hugs to you all, including Cherry and Kaimoana. It would be so good to hear that some cheer can be seen appearing with the good weather - so much illness, pain and grief suffered by dear Lobstars - we need positive stuff, good plans, good news, jolly weddings, happy house moves, holidays, daft things to share and smile about. Wishing that for ALL, and keep on keeping on, dear Doodle. I know the date you’re dreading and how hard your life without dear Dude must be. But, look how far you’ve come and we’re with you - in thoughts, all the way. The start of another great thread, Lobstars xxxxxxxxx
Everything crossed for your annulments, Neine, you both so deserve such happiness. 😘
Lily of the Valley always make me think of my childhood where we had hundreds growing under the trees.
😍
I found just two in our garden so far... but each year we plant a few more (just a couple of dozen) - optimistically.
I once bought a Muguet des Bois fragrance that I really loved. It all came flooding back just before Christmas when TKMaxx had some Lily of the Valley soap.
... small treats.
More fingers crossed for your annulments Naughtyneine. That they go to trial sounds so, so, so (can't think of the word) - much more than serious.
I wish I could give you some of my lily of the valley NotSpaghetti. They send out runners eventually, so I expect once yours get established you'll be overrun!
A lovely post Grandmafrench.
Tulips are fabulous NotSpag!
I don't think mine are out yet , unless the seagulls have eaten them.
Why are seagulls so called? Ours are nowhere near the sea.
The walk today was good
It wasn't particularly hard but I was very tired by the time I got home.
One poor chap slipped and knocked his head. He was taken to hospital. He has written to us to say he's now fine.
My Chinese helper has arrived. We cooked dinner together and had some good chats.
Thanks for starting a new thread. I received pms about it. Well done!
Lovely photos!
Thanks for sharing everyone.
Just look at the colours in the sky in your sunset NfkDumpling!
We had lots of rain last night - which is good - but I hope Mr Spaghetti's tulips haven't lost their heads!
We've just heard that the Judges approved and sanctioned both our Annulments. We are both in tears ( of joy) here. Thank you for all your good wishes and prayers. X
Hooray! 🥳🥂🎉
Brilliant, NN.
I'm so pleased for you both💐
Lovely news Naughtyneine.
Can I choose my outfit now? Or more importantly can you choose yours!
How brilliant, Neine. No more tears now but the best plans and a ton of happy days for you both. 😘
