Is that a Knees-in-the-Sun pic, Neine ? So pleased you’re having a healing time in Henrietta MoHo, though assuming it’s been quite warm with your hairy children’s heavy breathing!
We’re off to the Lot this weekend….with only 1 hairy ‘child’ ….who has his own bedroom because he’s scared of rain and windscreen wipers. A complicated story but proof that when rescued by us, he’d never experienced noisy, wet weather. DH has been known to threaten him with a trip to Britain, but suspect his little doggy nerves would fail him. Hence he has his own cupboard in our motorhome just in case of meteorological mayhem.
I just love NotSpag’s tulips (on the previous thread.) Simply beautiful. Ours faded weeks ago. We now have roses, orange blossom, osteospermum and almost a ton of jasmine.
I’ve gardened today, slowly since it was very warm, and am thrilled that GB seems to be getting early summer weather. May Day here celebrated by handing friends and loved ones a gift of a little posy of Lily of the Valley/Muguet des Bois. Also a day’s holiday here in 🇫🇷. I heard my first Hoopoe bird, not far away. I do love them, they’re so comical. My expected annual visitors - a pair of Black Redstarts (bespoke nest made by them in earlier years), and our Swallows, who are late this year, and for whom Mr GF has installed a lovely pair of German-built nests, because the poor souls couldn’t get mud to stick on our walls last year. I thought they were just cowboy builders, but it seems that modern building materials, and not their skills, are to blame. So, we now await ‘the ingrates’ as I think Ixion called them. 😄.
Sending hugs to you all, including Cherry and Kaimoana. It would be so good to hear that some cheer can be seen appearing with the good weather - so much illness, pain and grief suffered by dear Lobstars - we need positive stuff, good plans, good news, jolly weddings, happy house moves, holidays, daft things to share and smile about. Wishing that for ALL, and keep on keeping on, dear Doodle. I know the date you’re dreading and how hard your life without dear Dude must be. But, look how far you’ve come and we’re with you - in thoughts, all the way. The start of another great thread, Lobstars xxxxxxxxx
