Had a day in and out of the rain today. Huge puddles wherever I went. Still a good test of my waterproof boots and jacket.
Went to church bereavement group today and had lots of cake followed by a nice service with candles. Had a few of us in tears but it was lovely.

A difficult time for you NotS hope you and your family are all supporting each other.

I’ve been for an X-ray on my hips and knees today. Walking is getting difficult but it’s just my right leg and I think it could be muscular. I’ve bought some volterol so going to try that tonight in the hope it helps.

I've been wrapping the 2 presents I have actually bought. I understand why people on GN complain. Even with my trusty sellotape dispenser, and square boxes, it still takes longer to wrap than to buy.

I'm catching a bus shortly into town. I'm supposed to meet my DD and the girls at the theatre for this afternoon's matinée at the pantomime.
I'm wearing my new blue suede boots but rather regretting not going for the sensible furry ones. It's cold here.

I asked the chef how he made such a delicious pastry meal. It was butternut squash apparently. I think he's just a superb chef but I'll give it a go, especially as I am now making enough for 2.

Better go and catch that bus.

Doodle, I really hope that the x-ray results do prove that the problems you're having are just muscular and that it settles before too long.

Sorry for pushing you so hard, I can be rather an enthusiastic trainer and will try to be more measured in future 😒. I've failed you, you are excused from training for at least 2 months 🫡 😁.

Dear Mrs Ixion
Please excuse Doodle from cheerleading as she’s gone very wonky on her pins. Her right leg is a hypochondriac and keeps complaining about aches and pains all the time and while the left one doesn’t complain, it’s getting fed up of being the responsible stabiliser for the Doodle unit.
Volterol has been applied to the lower Doodle a few times but so far apart from being smelly has had no impact. On the advice of another, max strength volterol has been purchase and applied. Pain in leg is slightly easier but now pocket it complaining of cost of said item.
Doodle is now going to bed to rest and will hope to be back on the pitch doing her high kicks again soon.

Grammeretto i Hope to get the results soon. I’m expecting the usual wear and tear and will then ask for some physio to help. Just want to make sure nothings really wrong before I start exercising too much.

Triple lock your door, dim the lights and hide behind the sofa.

Prior to working for us, we had a superb lady, who would give you the shirt off her back, who would regale us with tales of her life which would make your hair curl. Especially the ones when she worked at Mecca Bingo.

She had taught her children the exact same routine (door, lights, sofa) whenever the rent man came calling.

We all enjoyed the pantomime. One of the best ever.
At one point the Prince asked the audience if anyone was married who could give him advice. A wee chap next to me, couldn't have been more than 3, shouted out "my mummy" "she's married" "here she is" . It was so funny.

Afterwards we went for an Italian meal and asked for child portions. A pizza as big as a dinner plate came out.
Then the smallest DGD began to sing an Italian song which impressed the waiter as well as granny

We asked for containers for leftovers and the family took most of their meals home.
I will see them all again on Boxing day so not long.

Now to have an early night.
I hope we Lobstars sleep well tonight.

Hi from a very sheepish member of- or maybe ex- member - of the Group that has changed its name!! Unfortunately I do not have a note from my mother or really any viable excuse at all. I honestly couldn’t find you all until eventually I discovered the new name! Gransnet does make it hard to discover things sometimes. Or maybe thats because Im thick or because Im not a Gran!!
