When we first moved from Edinburgh to Oxford, my DDs had Scottish accents. DD1 was five and started at a new school. The other kids would get her to say girl and world and similar words. They loved the rich r sounds that almost made the words two-syllabic
It was interesting to witness the change in their accents as the years went by. The vowel differences were the either the first to go or the last. I can't remember now.
How do I bring this issue up with our neighbours?
Should I have been a better person?
As the MSM cannot resist calling out Tommy Robinson’s real name, why does Polanski get a free pass?
