No-one seems to have started a thread so here goes!

Lewis Capaldi is on at the moment, good to see him performing after his health challenges last year. DGD had booked to see him but he cancelled because he was unwell.
He's so much more enjoyable to listen than today's rappers!

I'm looking forward to seeing The Searchers. 🙂

They are shouting for the death of Jews and you are worried about rod Stewart supporting a political party that we will win the next election.

merlotgran Sat 28-Jun-25 21:53:43

Did Rod Stewart's music change when he announced that?

😂😂

Casdon Sat 28-Jun-25 21:39:13

They are great aren’t they! I’m hoping to get to see them in Cardiff in August.

kittylester Sat 28-Jun-25 21:39:03

They were completely joyful and do such good work too.

Brilliant entertainment! Pulp, Ezra Collective, Raye, Skepta...a great evening's entertainment. Just joy!

ViceVersa Sat 28-Jun-25 21:34:49

'Joyful' - now that one word really summed up the Ezra Collective's performance!

Silverbrooks Sat 28-Jun-25 21:33:46

Rod Stewart’s and Eric Clapton’s racist views were why Rock Against Racism was formed. Both supported Enoch Powell … and now Stewart supports Farage. What a surprise.

After the joyful Ezra Collective and everything good they stand for, his appearance will be sour. I hope the festival goers turn their backs on him.

He and Clapton built their careers on black music. They should be ashamed.

And, as the guy from The Script ( who were excellent) said ‘nobodies on a mobile phone’. I’ll be giving Rod a miss now he seems to support Farage sad.

Did Rod Stewart's music change when he announced that?

No, just his street cred.

Pulp were excellent, as ever. Jarvis Cocker is a fantastic frontman.

Tenko Sat 28-Jun-25 21:23:45

I watched John Fogerty earlier . He’s 80 and full of energy . Proud Mary really got the crowd going .

merlotgran Sat 28-Jun-25 21:18:23

I’m watching Raye. I’ve been looking forward to this.

The Somerset and Avon Police are investigating acts at Glastonbury this afternoon.

A rough guess from me is it will be Bob Vylan who was pro Palestine (rapping death to the IDF ) and Kneecap.

I am looking forward to Rod Stewart tomorrow.

Thanks, ViceVersa

I’ve just realised we’re missing MissA. She’s always good fun on the Glastonbury threads. Hope she’s doing OK.

I think The Searchers are appearing on a stage not being televised. Could be the Acoustic stage.

Yes, they are.

DH is getting anxious about missing Ezra Collective - his favourite band at the moment - as he also wants to watch the U21s

One of ours too!

My favourite band yesterday were BadBadNotGood on West Holts stage. However, their drummer is exceedingly annoying (but not his drumming).

The 1975 aren't my cup of tea, but they've been around for quite a while now. Lead singer Matty Healy is the son of Denise Welch and Tim Healy.

And was slightly the worse for wear when interviewed.
