No-one seems to have started a thread so here goes!

Lewis Capaldi is on at the moment, good to see him performing after his health challenges last year. DGD had booked to see him but he cancelled because he was unwell.
He's so much more enjoyable to listen than today's rappers!

I'm looking forward to seeing The Searchers. 🙂

I’m so disappointed that the BBC didn’t show The Searchers playing their last ever performance.

Bridie22 Sat 28-Jun-25 13:42:14

Oh yes, his slot will be televised approx 10pm.

Mt61 Sat 28-Jun-25 13:36:03

Haven’t watched it for a few years- maybe having no license has something to do with it 😊
I do like Neil Young, so if they do show his set, may have to get mum to record it.

I’ve never heard of the 1975 confused.

Denise Welch’s sons band

Oh yes, just seen an update on the BBC website which says it will be broadcast. I guess it's just a case of watch this space, lol

NotAGran55 Sat 28-Jun-25 13:27:53

When I posted 45 minutes ago I had just read that Neil Young’s set was going to be broadcast after all…..

ViceVersa Sat 28-Jun-25 13:16:30

No, apparently at Neil Young's own request, his slot won't be televised.

Ziggy62 Sat 28-Jun-25 13:13:13

Just watching the 1975, don't really know much about them but quite enjoying it

Is Neil Young's performance going to be televised? I thought I heard on news this morning it wasn't

MayBee70 Sat 28-Jun-25 13:13:12

I didn’t bother watching Lewis Capaldi when he first came on; not my sort of music. However, when they showed it again later on I watched the whole set and thought he was wonderful and I was really moved by how emotional he was. As for the 1975; no wonder I’ve never come across them before. Indie rock band my foot. I wouldn’t go to one of their concerts if you paid me. Dreary doesn’t even begin to describe them.

NotAGran55 Sat 28-Jun-25 12:46:22

Looks positive for Neil Young’s set to be broadcast after all. Unless he changes his mind again!

I love Crosby Stills Nash and Young.

I saw them all at Wembley stadium in 1974.
Such a special time seeing them all live.

I don't like Neil Young so much on his own but will watch him tonight.

Bridie22 Sat 28-Jun-25 10:01:38

Lewis was brilliant, so pleased he is making a recovery, looking forward to Neil Young tonight.

The 1975 aren't my cup of tea, but they've been around for quite a while now. Lead singer Matty Healy is the son of Denise Welch and Tim Healy.

Lewis Capaldi is very talented.
I have never wanted to go to Glastonbury , the festival that is, as it’s my idea of hell.Either a cold muddy hell or a boiling hot more traditional hell😂

I’ve never heard of the 1975 confused.

Me neither

MayBee70 Sat 28-Jun-25 02:42:38

Me too. But I don’t think it’s likely now. I did go to one of the very early ones but didn’t stay.

rafichagran Sat 28-Jun-25 01:36:15

I am enjoying it too, loving CMAT and LC
My daughter has been to Glastonbury a couple of times she said ot is amazing. I too would like to go.

MayBee70 Sat 28-Jun-25 00:19:33

I kept thinking how painiful it must be. For both of them...And also how they got up there in the first place.

rubysong Sat 28-Jun-25 00:17:26

We watched some of it this evening. What do people think about those in the crowd who climb on their friend's shoulders to watch? I know if I had been in a crowd for hours waiting to see a particular favourite and just as they began the person in front of me climbed on her boyfriend's shoulders, blocking my view, I'd be livid.

I’ve never heard of the 1975 confused.

I can see it on iplayer just now, it's the main screen. Also live on BBC Sounds.

Allira Fri 27-Jun-25 21:53:50

It's not on iPlayer, at least, I can't find it at the moment.
I'll take a look tomorrow, thanks ViceVersa

Grannmarie Fri 27-Jun-25 21:27:17

Allira, can you watch on your ipad or laptop, then ideally cast it to your TV?
I think it's live on iplayer?

ViceVersa Fri 27-Jun-25 21:27:02

Loving the Biffy at the moment!

lafergar Fri 27-Jun-25 21:15:50

GrannyGravy13

Love Glastonbury, it has been on my bucket list, DH doesn’t rough it

Will watch on iplayer.

I don't picture you as a poo in a bag kinda person.

Glamping I suppose possibly?
