Another pound off for me but DH reached target weight today so well done Peter you are looking very svelt and sexy. You will probably live to 100 like your mother! I have 11 lbs to go now.

Carol Mon 12-Mar-12 09:54:47

I've lost the plot a bit now, and have forgotten what I was last week, but I do know I have lost 8 lbs since the beginning of January. Need a bit more exercise now.

well done every one, I will post on Wednesday as usual, but am logging in here now to keep focussed. Had an unfortunate incident with a bag of chocolate Easter eggs that we were taking to DH's nephew and family on Saturday-- well some of them got there.hmm

Yes- I've lost two pounds since last week-wooohooo! That's seven pounds since beginning of January, it's a hard slog but my clothes don't feel so tight!
Glad you enjoyed the party glass and the other ravers!

greenmossgiel Mon 12-Mar-12 11:12:50

Only half-a-pound, but that's 1 stone 8 and a quarter pounds since mid-September! My knees aren't nearly as sore! smile

gracesmum Mon 12-Mar-12 11:19:31

11st 9 - is that better or worse than last week? I can't remember.
The 2 large whiskies I had after driving back from Birmingham clearly haven't "worked their way through" yet!

Notsogrand Mon 12-Mar-12 13:21:37

Hi everyone...hope lots of you are getting sunshine!

I've stayed the same this week, but it could definitely have been worse. In the middle of last week I was having a silent but deadly strop about someone so to cheer myself up I went to the rather lush cafe at a local garden centre. I had a cheese scone big enough to use as a foot rest. With butter. Also had a date slice that could have fed the street. Plus a large milky coffee. Hated myself as soon as the last mouthful was swallowed, but have been back on track since then.

It's only because you are all here that I am back on track, so thank you! I will try harder next week.
smile

And you will have deserved every crumb, Notso! I really value this thread as well - it does help keep me right!!

Hi folks!
I haven't weighed in 'officially' this week as we have been away over the weekend for hubby's big 60 and 'ate well' Friday eve, Saturday eve and both breakfast and lunch on Sunday!

We were away for my usual weigh-in (Sunday morning) but this morning I weighed out of curiosity and think I have stayed the same. Under normal circumstances I would be happy with that. However, I don't want to register today as it could well be a false reading as I have also been a bit poorly aahhh sad as well.

Sadly, I have a history of Vasel vagel episodes, a strange phenomenon when, for some totally unexplainable reason, my blood pressure suddenly drops to my boots. If I don't get the warning symptoms and react by lying down raising my feet and legs, I shortly follow my BP and hit the deck which is what happened yesterday. Unusually I had two episodes within about an hour and followed by a touch of the 'don't stop me!' which may or may not be connected but left me really drained. I will be up and running by tomorrow and back to the scales next Sunday morning!

Good luck to all you other losers though! Half-a-pound is still progress green and sometimes we forget our 'running total' - over a stone and a half in less than six months is brilliant! Looks like everyone has done well so far - great! grin

yogagran Mon 12-Mar-12 13:43:41

Oh no - a disaster, 1 lb up from my target weight of 10st. And I had stayed at my ideal weight for so many weeks sad
Must take myself in hand before it creeps slowly up again

glassortwo Mon 12-Mar-12 13:45:02

glassortwo Mon 12-Mar-12 13:46:46

greenmossgiel Mon 12-Mar-12 14:56:07

jeni - don't think of giving up! This is just a test grin! Slow but sure will win the race....you'll get there.

jeni Mon 12-Mar-12 15:24:07

Hmmph!

yogagran Mon 12-Mar-12 16:00:31

At least you're going the right way jeni - I went up this week sad and remember that "they" say that losing it slowly is better because you're more likely to keep it off. Stick with it

jeni Mon 12-Mar-12 16:18:59

But it's sooooooo boring! sad

yogagran Mon 12-Mar-12 16:40:09

We can find some interesting non fattening food for you I'm sure - suggestions please everyone please

jeni Mon 12-Mar-12 16:43:13

I hate salad, fruit and anything good for me! Also anything that needs preparing! I don't like cooking and I am intolerant of egg yolks!

JessM Mon 12-Mar-12 17:50:59

Cranks wholemeal bread from Waitrose. With baked beans. Or with some cherry tomatoes, fry them in olive oil and add a pinch of thyme, basil or some other herb. With cheese, toasted it is sublime. I guess though, keeping the layer of cheese on the thin side more slimming. Toasted with untoasted cheese on top. With pate or mackerel pate.
Those are my suggestions for filling, healthy meals for one.
If I lived alone I would base most of my meals around this splendid product.
The thing about this bread is that it only really works as toast unless you dip it in soup... Duchy beetroot soup from Waitrose maybe?
Now hungry, definitely. Early tea.

Butternut Mon 12-Mar-12 18:03:01

Jess Tomatoes, Olive oil and fresh herbs are a match made in heaven.smile

Jeni Smoked haddock simmered in a little milk, with crusty wholemeal bread on the side. Wonderful

Avacado (sp?) with a dash of white balsamic. Watercress and orange (not allowed to say salad) on the side. More crusty bread. You need some carbs. otherwise you'll end up starving.

Come on - you know all this! grin

jeni Mon 12-Mar-12 18:24:41

I love toms with olive oil an basil and homemade bread! I could live on it!

JessM Mon 12-Mar-12 18:46:22

Then why not? Variations on the theme of tomatoes on toast.
The thing about the Cranks bread is that it is dense and filling. Like homemade wholemeal bread. Crusty it ain't Butternut! Though that is good too.
