Wow glass those recipes and suggestions are brilliant. You should do a cookery book. I'm going to print out this thread so I have them to hand for use over the next few weeks. Thanks a lot

Good morning all! Shreddies and coffee for breakfast here, with a couple of dried apricots.
I had a really good 'diet day' yesterday, didn't stray by so much as a mouthful smile
If this fog clears, I'll get out and do more gardening today. Get the old body moving!

You pronounce Kumara "koomara" by the way. Maori word for sweet potato I think. It was the only food crop they had and then only in north island NZ.
I will be in NZ before too long and looking forward to the locally grown produce. The avocados are sublime.
Avo and tomato sandwiches a Kiwi classic, and when both have been grown outdoors, a few miles away, nothing better.
I dont get fejoas though. Bit like kiwi fruit but they taste like root beer. which tastes like germolene. yes i know I have never licked the germolene but you know what i mean.
I read your post glass and thought you had had a bowl of bran.
Time to get out of bed and have my porridge, dried bluberries (from Costco) and ground linseed (from H and Barret) .
Have a wholesome day all.

I have weighed myself today, lost a pound and have just scraped into the tens. Hooray, first time for 6 years! Mango and fat free yoghurt for breakfast. Am determined to carry on, I had a few wavering moments when I seemed to get stuck, but now it's onwards and downwards. Am off to Pilates soon.Have a good day everyone sunshine

another 12/lb for me, I will have to get my act together.

I'm doing okay; only 3lb to go before I move down into the next weight bracket. Hope to get there by the end of next week, but as I'm going away for the whole week with TWM I will have to be very strict with myself.

Notsogrand Thu 15-Mar-12 22:54:42

glass, you're going in the right direction!

Still in the slightly odd position of being a bit under the weight I consider my target weight as I have only put on a pound of the weight that I lost when I was ill. Back at Pilates this week so I do hope the body tones up and gets some of the original muscle back - it is still a slightly alarming experience looking at my arms in the mirror!Am trying to be very careful about what I eat, but I know all is not really well yet as I have no desire for a coffee at all- extraordinary !

glassortwo Fri 16-Mar-12 20:03:43

grannya dont try to loose it too quickly, its not long since you were ill, be careful, you need to be on top form for your break.

grannyK take it easy, dont rush things.
