Our friend is doing tennis, baseball and golf, and is supposed to use his "bad" hand, i.e. the left one, as it was his left side that was most affected by the stroke. He is right handed, so finds it even more difficult to use his left hand.
However he is making fantastic progress. I stay over on Monday nights as his wife leaves for work very early on Tuesday morning.
This week he appeared downstairs about an hour and 15 minutes after I had taken him his tea (an improvement on last week , when it was taking him an hour and a half to shave, brush his teeth and get into his pants, trousers and shirt) and he had actually managed to do up the button and zip on his jeans!
I was so very pleased for him, as I know how much he hated having to have this done for him. He had also done up the buttons on his shirt, but a bit skew wiff. He and I joked about him looking like a badly wrapped parcel and agreed that it might be best if I re-did it.
I always tell him how much he has improved in the week since I last saw him (tell his wife too) because I suppose as they are both dealing with it every day, it is harder for them to see the progress he's made.
(Sorry, this thread is supposed to be about Wii fit, apologise for the hi jack!)
