Hope you have all had a good week, and have a good loss wink

glassortwo Mon 01-Oct-12 08:03:11

nanadogsbody has posted on last weeks thread with her fantastic loss of 2lb well done nanad smile

Thats 2lb into our weight loss pot good start grin

Nanadogsbody Mon 01-Oct-12 08:09:41

Oh I see, of course the name of tn thread will change each week. Yes, 2lbs off. Was very excited when I jumped on the scales this morning. I think this is going to work with all the support grin

Bez Mon 01-Oct-12 08:37:22

Not sure if I have good news - have weighed on different scales as at DD - they show some biggish loss but are those scales with the tiny marking I cannot see very well even with my specs on!! I do not wish to think I have lost loads because next week when on my own scales again which are digital with HUGE unmistakeable numbers, I shall only get depressed if I seem to have gone up loads. Suffice to say I think I am on the right side this week.
Good luck everyone.

Have been to Devon this weekend and certainly have not added up WW points ! Just in case the result is not good I am going back to weighing on Wednesdays as I do it then on WW on line.hmm

Movedalot Mon 01-Oct-12 12:19:22

I have lost 2 of the pounds I put on but don't really think they count because they were extra from the week before!

Good news is that I have started looking out my holiday clothes and trying them on and they look better than they did when I was lighter! Seems I am slimmer but heavier, must be down to the gym!

Well done Notso you are an inspiration to us all. flowers

Sbagran Mon 01-Oct-12 14:39:33

sad sad sad sorry ladies I have let you down.
Can't add anything to the pot but at least I am not taking anything out as I am exactly the same this week as last!
I would have liked even a few ounces but not to be. I had a very manic week last week doing a lot of extra hours at work and grabbing grub as and when possible so although I didn't sin big-time it was sporadic! I stayed within my MFP range but obviously ate the wrong things such as too many sandwiches - bread really does it for me!
Back on track this week hopefully! Well done nanadogsbody and movedalot - I am so envy blush

glassortwo Mon 01-Oct-12 16:19:50

sba you have not let anyone down, these things happen, you have lots of time left till Christmas.
Bread always does it for me too. Chin up you will be back on track, and dont worry about it. sunshine sunshine

Sbagran Mon 01-Oct-12 17:07:11

Not worrying about it glass - just wanted to do my share of putting a pound in the pot!!!
To be honest I was happy staying the same and not to have put on - one day for instance I had my belvita breakfast (proper meals calories) but after that no time to grab anything before teatime so we had a beautiful chinese. I only had prawn chow mein and just a spoonful of DH's egg fried rice but I was concerned as it is notoriously calorie filled! I was just inside the MFP allowance but probably made up of the wrong goodness!
I did enjoy it though and I had worked hard to earn it! hmm
Note to self: Must do better and make time for sensible food!

Bez Mon 01-Oct-12 17:53:28

Has anyone found a really good substitute for bread - bloats me dreadfully almost straight away and takes days to really go down - even Jacket potatoes tend to do it a bit but if I just leave them out totally I just remain so hungry and want to nibble - not quite so bad in the summer but I think it is not having bulk - do you think it is in the mind cos I know I have missed it!! Have tried all sorts of grains etc and gluten free but not really any good - still give me heart burn.sad

crimson Mon 01-Oct-12 18:05:04

I use rice cakes as a substitute. Have managed to stay off bread for ages this time. I've got some tortillas at the moment which I'm filling with tuna and salad [sometimes sweetcorn]. I know they're wheat but at least they don't have yeast in them. Tummy still isn't going down though sad.

Bez Mon 01-Oct-12 18:49:45

Yes I do find the wraps or tortillas a bit better - rice cakes not bad but still a cereal - rice with a meal activates the bloating too so am a bit wary.such a pain and we don't realise how lucky we are when we are younger and can eat anything!

Sbagran Mon 01-Oct-12 18:55:54

I have discovered salt and vinegar flavoured jumbo Snackajacks which are only 41 calories each which I use instead of bread if I can. They are passable and being big you feel that there is more than there is hmm
The trouble is we have a lovely breadmaking machine which emits exceeding yummy smell! Lead me not into temptation! blush

Grannyeggs Mon 01-Oct-12 18:57:15

Oatcakes are a good substitute and don't seem to make you bloat.

Nanadogsbody Mon 01-Oct-12 22:55:06

Just fallen off the weight wagon big time.....family celebration, just consumed 1,000,000 calories ...Will have to pull out all stops for next week. Please NO kind words or sympathy, I need your condemnation. SERIOUSLY!!! hmm

Notsogrand Tue 02-Oct-12 15:05:35

Well, we're all on the Countdown to Christmas which is very encouraging!! Sadly, I took it all a bit too literally and had a Waitrose mince pies (plural!!!) moment at the weekend. So I haven't lost anything this week. The good news is I've made 3 Christmas Cakes on 3 consecutive days and didn't lick the bowl once!
Good luck everyone smile

Notsogrand Tue 02-Oct-12 15:06:27

Some of the brandy I used in the cakes may have splashed near my mouth though grin

Grannyeggs Tue 02-Oct-12 15:12:16

Notso I am so impressed with the cake making! But don't you just hate that flying brandy, so difficult to spit out. grin

glassortwo Tue 02-Oct-12 15:35:01

nandog hmm well that what you wanted shock

notso you have been working hard getting the Christmas cakes out of the way and the brandy! But dont put the mince pies on next weeks shopping wink

Movedalot Tue 02-Oct-12 15:43:31

notso I find wine does that too! Don't think there is a cure for it wine

Nanadog You are a very, very naughty girl, write out 200 times "I must not pig out (apart from family celebrations)" grin

Nanadogsbody Tue 02-Oct-12 15:47:19

Bother... Just got to 199 lines when the post vanished! You did mean on this thread did you not move? ?????? Thanks glass grin
