Well done Glass I don't think I could ever lose so much so consistently. You are an example to us all. smile

Would it be cheating if I did my lines in excel and dragged the first one down 99 times? Don't answer, I know I'm a bad girl! I was good yesterday MFP says 1111 calories and that included an ice cream! No more socialising this week so trying to earn my halo!

I would love to know how you all set your targets. Are they lots of small ones which incrementally add up to a good BMI? That is what I am trying to do at the moment but would then like to be half way down the 'normal' BMI. Perhaps some of you have other ways of deciding on your targets which are more motivational?

Bother bother bother !
Did I say something last week about NOT yo yo ing ?
Well, have gone up 1 1/2 lbs this week .
Have been using mfp every day for months now, and have only exceeded calorie count one day this week .
Will be extra vigilant this week and possibly not eat bread. I had started allowing myself the ordinary sandwich type instead of my usual German rye bread . Perhaps it really does make a difference .
Anyway can't really moan as I had been a little under my target weight, so only just slightly above it now.
Even so , seem to have sabotaged the plans for Wiggle Room at Christmas sad

Sorry to hear about DH sew I hope it is not too serious and that he will be out soon.

I have had a wonderful week of social whirl, with champagne, wine, dinners out and home made shortbread (not mine) which would have been rude to refuse so sorry everyone, I've let the side down again and put on 1 lb. I deserve for it to be more but the ostrich burger was wonderful! Can't diet and socialise at the same time, no willpower.

I am back on MFP now and promise to try harder this week (only one night out at the moment). Glass do I have to do 100 lines or am I back in detention?

Well done all you losers flowers

Have lost 2lb this week but not through any virtue on my part. Am spending most of the time on ward with DH. With 3or 4 hours travel time each day I simply don't seem to have time to eat. In addition stressed . Not a way I'd recommend losing weight but please can I be included in the total Glass?

glassortwo Mon 26-Nov-12 21:19:42

notso it could just shake things up for you, your metabolism seem to be in a rut so changing your types of food might do the trick, good luck smile I dont know that I want to be slim if it means doing housework grin

digby I was waiting to see if when you had be out for a little cat and mouse chase that you may come in having lost a little more grin well done loosing 4oz.

Jeni you have done fantastic this week I thought you had lost 2lb, but if you were 13.8 you have lost 2.25lbs

This week total 6.15 lb

Challenge to date 47.65lbs

jeni Mon 26-Nov-12 20:31:01

Notsogrand Mon 26-Nov-12 20:24:24

I've decided to draw a line in the dust and radically change what I eat. I've lost a lot but still have lots to go, and I've been 'stuck' for several months now. I've become a bit too complacent, allowed myself some treats, then been fed up with the slight weight gain/weeks & weeks of no weight loss.

So I've decided to give the high protein/low carb route a go for a little while, to see if the complete change of food intake will jolt my system back into losing weight again. I like the discipline of being so specific about what I eat, it helps me to focus.

So having drawn a line in the dust, I'm going to count next week as Week 1, and I wont be posting either a gain or loss for this week. (It wouldn't have been a loss sad)

Another thing that's prompted me to get a move on again, is a photograph of myself taken 30 years ago that I came across recently. So slim! All done with a prescription of amphetamines (those were the days) so as soon as the drugs stopped, the weight all went back on again, plus a lot more. The photo is now on my fridge door.

Good luck to everyone else this week! flowers

(By the way, when I was taking amphetamines was the only time in my adult life that I've done housework every day grin)

This week total 3.5 lb

Challenge to date 45.08lbs

Marelli Mon 26-Nov-12 20:10:12

Well, my scales are cheapies - not digital - and I can't see the actual pounds from where I'm standing looking down at them from my great height....but from the position of the needle I think I've lost about a pound. confused!

glassortwo Mon 26-Nov-12 19:40:12

sba we will go with your weight today wink
Well done phoenix its a start, dont forget your water.
pud keep at it smile
celeb holiday gain is shifting smile but be careful of baked potatoes in restaurants not always as healthy as you expect.

This week total 2.5 lb

Challenge to date 44.08lbs

celebgran Mon 26-Nov-12 18:58:09

lost 2lb from last week!!!

hurray but as I had put 3lb on seems not so good!!

still at least I am still trying, met friend for lunch today and had steak and jacket spud!! sort of good??!! no pudding. Well my friend had chips!!

Pud Mon 26-Nov-12 18:47:58

Sorry folks but managed to put on half a pound this week sad . As my school report often said, needs to try harder so here's to next week.
Wish I had had your result Phoenix, well done

Anne58 Mon 26-Nov-12 13:59:29

I'm sure those scales are wrong, I've just weighed Digby twice, the first showed that he had gained 4 ozs since last week! I was so horrified that I weighed him again, and that showed a loss of 4 ozs!

He seems to be 13lb 8oz. let's go with that!

Anne58 Mon 26-Nov-12 11:33:21

I have managed to lose 1 measly pound, but I suppose if you think of it as the equivalent of 2 blocks of butter, then it doesn't seem too bad.

I will wait until Digby is dry before weighing him, he got caught in a very heavy shower when out for his morning constitutional, and is currently asleep on a towel.

Sbagran Mon 26-Nov-12 09:55:04

Well folks I have finally decided that my scales are like the weather - change by the minute!
After a good result last week I was devastated yesterday morning when the scales showed a GAIN of 2.2lbs sad
What made it worse was that it meant I was back over the 11stone milestone sad
angryangryangry
I had been good all last week - the only 'sin' was on Friday when I had baked beans and sausages on toast - very calorific - but I had eaten very little all day due to being manically busy, and a short evening meeting had gone on and on and on, making it 9pm before I was able to get home, so whatever was fast would do as I was starving!
According to MFP I was still ok for my calorie allowance but obviously it was the wrong sort of calories!
This morning, out of interest, I weighed myself and today I am exactly the same as last week - 152.2lbs!
Up to you Glass - I can either contribute a gain on 2.2lbs or zilch to the pot!
hmm

glassortwo Sun 25-Nov-12 22:33:15

Well a months time and it will all be over for another year, how much can we loose in this final run up... come on make some room for that mince pie. grin
