Everyone has done so well envy! I've been feeling like Porky Pig since discovering I'd put on 3 pounds in 6 days blush. However, today is a 'fasting day' so hopefully I will soon be back on track. hmm

Hi glass I have caught up on last weeks train crash of a week and lost 1.1/2lbs this week so back on track (track hmm)

Marelli Wed 01-May-13 20:16:29

I've eaten well on my few days away in France...and have put on 3 pounds shock! However, this WILL come off as I return to my 5:2 diet. It was worth every crumb....and every beer....and every large bit of chocolate in Belgium on the way home! grin

mrshat Wed 01-May-13 18:49:19

Hi - stayed the same this week, more by luck than judgement tho' - it has been one of those 'tempting' weeks! This week is not looking good as will be 'out' for 2 meals. Fingers crossed I am sensible - good luck everyone. grin

Its all relative just make sure the next time you get weighed you are either dressed or not.
grannyK keep at it smile

Have you all looked at the link below to see what 1lb looks like?

Grannylin Tue 30-Apr-13 10:46:33

Me too Galen, even take my watch and glasses off...and then have to squint hard to see the weight!

Grannyeggs Tue 30-Apr-13 10:46:17

Me too! If I ever get on the scales fully dressed I always knock off at least a pound sometimes 2!

Galen Tue 30-Apr-13 10:42:22

I always weigh in the nude!(tmi)

Grannyeggs Tue 30-Apr-13 10:36:17

GrannyK don't despair, it will come off. This dieting business is frustrating and slow, but worth it in the end. I will weigh in tomorrow, and I'm not sure if it will be good news or not.hmm

GrannyK Tue 30-Apr-13 10:28:10

Not very happy sad

Was fairly confident that the Ilb I put on last week would have dropped off this week

Wrong!

Main thing is not to be despondent and work a bit harder this week, I suppose !

glassortwo Tue 30-Apr-13 09:59:12

galen thats why you should get weighed at the same time, same day with similar clothes on... your weight can fluctuate greatly over a week I am usually heavier on a Sunday than I am on a Tuesday why I am not sure, but if you stick to the same time and day you feel more confident that its a good average. Just ignore the scales today. Anyway you cant have what I have banked already. grin grin

Galen Tue 30-Apr-13 09:55:14

Got on scales again today 13.11 1/2
I do not understand my scales?

glassortwo Tue 30-Apr-13 09:42:00

moomin well done. smile
sba keep focused it was a very small gain and you may find it will sort it self out next week.
grannylin dont knock your loss have a look at my last post and jane is right almost 4 stone in a year cant be bad and doing to slow and easy is the best way to do it.
celeb well done.
anno fantastic well done
galen 2 1/2lb wow what have you done this week?
notso its so easy to just muddle along then you find yourself weeks down the road and still the same weight, bery frustration when you look at the lost time.
bez well done 1/2lb is great.
jane you are cooking on gas grin I love getting into clothes that you have not had on and feeling comfortable.

This week 6lb
Challenge total 1st 8lb 12oz

glassortwo Tue 30-Apr-13 09:28:36

For all those who dont think a 1lb is much of an achievment have a look here,

look 1lb

moomin Mon 29-Apr-13 21:15:10

I put on quite a few pounds over Christmas/New Year and have finally got rid of them and an extra 3lbs, so I am quite pleased with myself having got down to 10:4. In an ideal world I would lose those 4lbs, but this may be a bridge too far!

janeainsworth Mon 29-Apr-13 20:36:34

Ah! grin
But still not bad I think!

Grannylin Mon 29-Apr-13 19:36:40

I know jane but I cheated and didn't post last week, so it's really 1lb in 2 weeks!I only want to get under 10 st and stay that way but it's very elusive.

janeainsworth Mon 29-Apr-13 19:08:08

Grannylin I don't think losing a pound a week is slow. If you lost a pound a week for a year, that would be 52lbs ie, nearly 4 stone!
When you think how long it takes to put that much weight on, it makes sense to accept that it's going to take some time to lose it again.
Rapid weight loss isn't healthy IMHO and difficult to sustain - I would be very happy with losing a pound a week.

Sbagran Mon 29-Apr-13 15:52:11

Oh how I agree Grannylin about it being so slow - I was really good last week going to the gym, walking on non-gym days and keeping within my MFP limits - my only transgression was last Friday when we visited my ex-boss and took him out to lunch.
I was led astray and had a naughty sweet and a glass of wine but honestly that was it! My calorie count on MFP shot off the top of the chart but it was just the one day!
Why is it that when you have one bad day you get punished but when you have six good days you get absolutely no reward confused
The upshot is a gain of 0.4 of a pound - negligible I know but it still aint fair (angry/sad/frustrated/footstamping all tied up together emoticon)!!!
Good luck to everyone else!

Grannylin Mon 29-Apr-13 11:40:31
