Still 12st 7lbs - no change. Disappointed but still high stress levels!

Bez I do notice a drop it on the day after I fast but I only take any notice of the weekly result.
It depends of course on your usual eating patterns, but I really find that knowing I can eat what I like other times is how I am sticking to it.

I also find knowing I can manage my low calories day fairly happily I have begun to realise the difference between being hungry and wanting something tasty to eat. I am lucky though in that I have never had the problem of being a really big eater. I was though at the very high end of being too heavy for my height and build. The BMI calculation.

The portions my mum used to serve were always really mean small.

No longer have access to the accurate scales at work so, like J52 am going to rely on how well my jeans fit. Will start using the scales at the gym when I start going there again [am winding down at the moment and trying to get on top of the neglected housework that needs doing].

I only weighed once a week in the morning after a fast day. I did alternate day diet. Seemed to suit my metabolism. Now at goal weight, but still have fast days, only not quite so strict unless I've had too much indulgence the day before. I now rely on my clothes fitting rather than weighing.x flowers

Could I just ask you ladies doing the5:2 diet if you weigh only once a week or have done it daily? I am just wondering if the day after the starve day you are less and go up the day after eating normally. I have started weighing most mornings - having the most depressing starts to my days!!! I have hovered around the weight I started on aeons ago - which means the several pounds I lost I have now regained! And just seem to stay there whatever. sad

glass, you were so right! I was really careful yesterday and weighed myself this morning. 59kg - yippee! Down 0.3 from the top weight this year that I have been for the last few weeks. Feel much more enthusiastic about things now! Now if I can just keep going downwards towards Christmas ....

I was 56.3kg this am. After weeks stuck at 57.5ish and getting discouraged my weight seems to have started shifting down again.

This is using the 5:2 diet. I am very very happy with this as I can eat reasonably well the rest of the time. I am sure allowing normal diet the rest of the time and being very frugal on two days is a lot easier than cutting back all the time.

I was also pleased to note that I had started off at 59.4 in May. So my overall weight loss is good. I am feeling quite pleased with myself right now.

I have lost 1 1/2lbs but almost didnt go to get weighed as I was sure that I had put on, so I was really pleased with myself.

ginny try to have a change in some of the things you normally eat when you are being careful, could be you are bored and are tempted to have something naughty, but maintaining when you feel like that is as good as a loss.

grannyK are you sure you have put on? I thought I had and got a lovely surprise. Go on jump on and if you have had a gain you can attack it head on, if you leave it till next week its adding temptation over the week just to have that bread/biscuit add whatever is your weakness as you give yourself permission to have another.

grannylin wine is my weakness too (if you hadn't already guessed grin ) but I will only have wine in the house and have a glass on a Friday and Saturday night, if I have none at hand I cant drink it, the dark nights are difficult how about crochet wink

I'm stuck too.Dark nights just mean a glass of wine hmm

I'm worse than struggling,*ginny*. Thought I was back on track after the fortnight chaperoning on a mainly sandwich diet , but have had the weekend away and just know I have put so much on that I refuse to weigh myself this morning - always a very very bad sign . Really hoping that with a fairly normal week/ weekend ahead I can get back into normal eating pattern and lose this extra that is piling back on . Very very anxious!

I'm struggling. Nothing lost but at least nothing gained. Back on track this week.
