I feel a bit guilty popping in here as I have not been posting regularly but I just wanted to share my success. This morning I have reached my goal weight at Weight Watchers and have lost 9 stones and half a pound. From 18st 10lbs to 9st 91/2lbs. It has taken me eight years but I feel so much better for it. I can't quite believe I have done it yet as I never thought I would stick to it but I have and if I have, anyone can.

Oh coastwalker! That is absolutely, stonkingly, amazingly, fabulously brilliant!!!!!

What an achievement, you are an inspiration to us all! Well done you!

Notso Mon 18-Nov-13 12:39:05

Nine stones! That's a whole person you've lost....I am so full of admiration smile

Babs1952 Mon 18-Nov-13 13:00:13

Well coastwalker what a result!!! You have kept at it for 8 years WOW! Congratulations flowers

I am on the WW plan and lost 1.5lbs last week. Slowly slowly.......

Nelliemoser Mon 18-Nov-13 13:53:33

coastwalker I am impressed.

At the start in may I was 59.4 kg. 9st 4lb. Overweight for my 5' 1"
On the very manageable 5:2 diet alone today I am 54.9 kg 8stone.9lb.

That includes some overeating on holidays and a spell when I was stuck at 57kg.
I am happy with that gradual loss and hopefully an appetite reduction to suit. I would like to get the right side of 8.5st and stick at that.

Congratulations! I was just off to the gym when someone came round to see me, but I have now resolved to go later this evening when the traffic clears [you've made me feel guilty!].

Coastwalker congratulations, that's fantastic flowers
I'm sure you will feel confident too, that losing weight gradually like that means you'll be able to maintain your lower weight.
I have a minor success this week, lost 600gm down to 61.1.

NanaKath3 Mon 18-Nov-13 23:27:45

Congratulations Coastwalker that's an epic achievement. What a lot of determination and guts you have for sticking with it for so long! Really impressive - Well Doneflowers

I have taken inspiration from the folk on here who have been on the 5:2 diet and today was my first go at it. Had the book for a while, dug it out and decided I needed to take my poor health and weight in hand and make a commitment to myself. DH came back via Costco with a big tray of mince pies, they look more like cakes than traditional pies. I have told him to take them into work tomorrow as I don't want him wrecking my good start!

Good Luck to all who are trying to lose weight on here - I think I'm an expert......on how not to do it after 35-40 years of little success blush

Well done * Coastwalker* ! and also Nelliemoser. Have just weighed after my wonderful holiday in India and I have lost a pound. I'm wondering if the fact that we went mostly vegetarian that has helped. No 'Delhi Belly' so must have been doing something right.

Full of admiration to all those who have done so well this week . Well done indeed !

Must admit to total cowardice personally . It had been such a good fortnight before that after this last week of fairly disastrous grazing ( very stressful week one way and another ) I decided not to weigh myself this week and hope to have got things back under control next week . Finger crossed !

Will definitely report in next week , if only to face the worst
