I am saving it for New Year's Day!

Tegan Mon 30-Dec-13 19:33:35

We always have a family curry night on 1st so diet will have to start on 2nd. Feel I want to do a detox [or at least sleep for a couple of days and eat nothing]. Just ate the last of the Christmas cheese and all the puddingy stuff has gone.

Sorry galen lost track of the days.

I have hidden the scales until next week. I should be having first weigh in next Tuesday at SW but its my Aunts funeral so I might not make it until the week after, but dont let that stop you all going for it.

Are you all ready to start off afresh next Monday?

Galen Mon 30-Dec-13 20:30:24

Not ready. Got to. Desperate!

glassortwo Mon 30-Dec-13 20:35:39

Notso Mon 30-Dec-13 21:04:07

I'll be there.

coastwallker Mon 30-Dec-13 21:20:33

5lbs up - oops. Back on the wagon today ready for WW weigh in next Monday

glassortwo Mon 30-Dec-13 21:27:33

We are all in the same boat coast & notso but all will be fine smile
I often wonder why I was born to be over weight, but as a family that is our shape, do you think its down to what our ancestors occupation was and thats why you have thinner and bigger family shapes sad

I'll be with you next week. Having knee replacements this year so that should be a good incentive.

Weighed myself today for the first time since Christmas Eve - I put on 1 pound - can only put it down to being more active (certainly didn't stint on the food and drink!)

KatyK Thu 02-Jan-14 11:06:00

Starting today. Not so much the weight (10st 8 and 5ft 6in so not TOO bad) but I feel sluggish and flabby. So here goes........... Can anyone join the Monday weigh in?

Tegan Thu 02-Jan-14 11:38:43

I'm @ 10.2 [having got down to 9.7 recently]. Annoyed with myself but it's partly due to no getting much exercise due to my poorly foot [and Christmas]. Also had a huge curry last night [it's traditional] and drank copious amounts of wine [and don't usually drink at all]. However, have got my 5:2 book, seeing the Dr on Tuesday about my foot and the suns shining so onwards and upwards. I put so much effort into getting fit and losing weight last autumn as well. As I said to a friend last week, is there ever going to be a New Year when I'm not on a diet of some kind sad. Katy; of course anyone can join in; strength in numbers and all that.

KatyK Thu 02-Jan-14 12:18:06

Tegan - sometimes things send us off track, hopefully we can get back on now.

Atqui Thu 02-Jan-14 15:22:34

Well I have put on pounds. Why is all the nice food fattening? (no, a nice crisp apple or celery stick does not do it for me!!!)

sunseeker Thu 02-Jan-14 15:24:09

Was it Marilyn Monroe who said all the best things in life are illegal, immoral or fattening.

Nonu Thu 02-Jan-14 15:42:34

Thought it was Alexander Woolcott [an American] in the 30"s !

Tegan Thu 02-Jan-14 15:44:45

Kate Moss said that nothing tastes as good as thin feels, but how would she know. Girl probably hasn't ate a square meal for 20 years [let alone a whole box of chocolates in one sitting].

I'm with Marilyn Monroe! Why indeed. WW on Thursday at least 4 lbs on I'm sure!

J52 Sun 05-Jan-14 14:21:05

Christmas, New Year and birthday all in 10 days! Back to 5:2 on Monday.
Happy New Year diet to one and all. XX

jinglbellrocks Sun 05-Jan-14 15:54:18

I am, amazingly, exactly the same weight as I was before Christmas! I think it's because I have been doing most of the hard work round here. hmm

Jade2 Sat 22-Mar-14 03:00:55

I only weigh myself once a month.
The scale won't tell you everything.
