My lovely son has just sent me what I think is a huge box of chocolates! If so, I am going to try to ration them so that I don't put the weight back on. I am saying this in public so that I am motivated not to snaffle them all in one sitting (being a total chocaholic!) Watch this space! hmm

I have lost 4 stone with slimming world, and kept it off, you eat healthily , rather than daft fasting etc
If you eat more than you work off in calories, you will put weight on, its not rocket science - you just need to be in the right mind set to tackle it

Rockgran if you put the chocs in the freezer it takes much longer to eat them and is my way of slowing down the process of gorging oneself.

Thanks, NanKate, that's a good idea!

Hi everyone sorry I have been missing this week, been one of those weeks when you dont get a moment to yourself.
I only lost 1/2lb which I was shocked at after having a really good week, but thats how it works sometimes, I blame not having my weetabix I was having porridge and berries instead and I feel that I was missing fibre... that all I will say on that grin but there has been movement since returning to the weetabix wink

Another one off notso the weather does make t easier I think.
tegan well if thats not incentive I dont know what is.
Well done rock grin
aka you can lose inches but it sometimes doesnt show on the scales.
nellie the 5:2 works well for some just not for me.
ginny to maintain is a blessing some weeks.
vegas I am doing SW too and find it can be adapted to whatever I am doing through the week, and slow but sure is the way to go.
grannyK just get on the scales, remember a few weeks ago when we were all afraid to climb on and found things were not a bad as expected, its difficult to control things when you know you have a stressful time ahead.
Well done galen smile
tegan when that food monster arrives he clears everything in sight, but its a challenge to keep him in the cupboard.
notso on SW you can have lots more of theAlpro than skimmed or semi.
grannya every little helps smile
Well doen caz on maintaining.
tab its all down to choices but sometimes its easier to make the wrong choice.
grannyk & tegan you have to decide why you are eating those crackers or strange food items, do you really need them, have a cup of tea or a large drink of water and make yourself wait 15 min before eating and if you still really need it have something in the fridge that is healthy.
Good luck storynanna
Well done mrshat
silverfish most slimming groups have a weigh in and a group talk where everyone helps each other with tips and motivation. I attend Slimming World and find that I can eat from which ever food groups I enjoy and lose weight if I stick to the plan, but thats what is important to all the different Slimming groups sticking to the plan. I think the will power has to come from yourself, if you dont have it joining a group isnt going to help, you have to find motivation from something like a holiday or an occasion.
rock if you havent opened them you could drop them at the local old folks home, but best not let on to DS. My SW group have a collection of any unopened chocs at Christmas or other choc driven days and they are given to the local hospice.
