As glass is a bit busy just now, we're going to do the diet thread ourselves - and as I've been really greedy over the last couple of weeks, I might not even go on the scales tomorrow morning (so that's a really good start .... blush)!

Good luck to everyone else - let's get ourselves back on track again!

I have girded my loins and stepped warily on the scales (twice, just in case they were wrong the first time - but unfortunately they weren't) shock.
I would like to get half-a-stone off. I'm just within a healthy weight range but know my habits have been bad over the last few weeks.
How's everyone else doing?

Lost 5lbs this week. Yes, that's far too much but that sometimes happens with a new diet regime. Should record a more sensible weight loss next week.

Thanks for restarting this thread Marelli and hope glass is OK.

Anya, it's usual for a quick drop in weight in the first week or so, isn't it (fluid, etc), and when it all slows down, it can be a bit disheartening. Must be why so many of us fall off the wagon, I suppose. Great start, though!
glass is fine - she says she's not had much time to get on to GN lately, but will be back with us soon. smile

Good wishes to Glass and good to see the thread back on. I have lost 18lbs since the frsit week in December but its slowed down a bit now. Going to my last Slimming World for the time being tonight (golf takes precedence in the summer) but will keep on the regime to lose hopefully another 6 lbs.

Glad this thread is back. Thanks Marelli and a take things easy to Glass. I have lost 4 lbs in the last few weeks, but that is because I put on 11 lbs since Christmas blush. Honestly, I don't need to eat it, just look at it and I put on weight! grin. Still need to lose 7 lbs and after that I will try for another 7 lbs ........................wink

I've been at a lovely meet up today in Aberdeen, with Elegran, bags, Elizabeth1 and Katek! We did a good bit of walking, as we couldn't find the restaurant then on the way home we had to run for the train - so that's the exercise for the day! Was very sensible and had salad-y stuff for lunch.
Teetime and mrshat, you've made wonderful progress, and it's made me decide that I really must apply myself properly. wink

My weight had crept up prior to going away for a week and I was horrified to find I'd put on another 1/2 stone while I was away [I didn't think I'd eaten too badly and had done quite a lot of walking sad. Went to a funeral today and ate an enormous amount of cupcakes and have just finished off the day by eating a packet of crisps. I am on a very slippery slope [I thought my jeans were tight when I put them on the other day; I reckon it's the usual problem of wearing very forgiving leggings all winter that grow with me and don't give out the warning signs that jeans do]. Marelli; lets get our act together starting from [errr] tomorrow....

Tegan, I've been wearing leggings and (very) stretchy skinny jeans. Think that's been part of the problem.

I lost my resolve a few weeks ago when I was feeling quite toned up having gone to the gym a few times, only to measure myself and find I'd put on an inch all over. It was just one of those stupid psychological things that set me off eating badly again. I'm now finishing off some ice cream that had been left in the freezer after Christmas

How's everyone been doing this week? I've been away for a couple of days and have eaten well (and largely)! I now feel like Porky Pig. So for the weigh-in on Monday I expect to have gained heavily. There's a very large box of chocs in the cupboard as well as Lindt rabbit.....oh dear, perhaps I was the wrong one to try and help with the diet thread blush! (Note to self: Pull yourself together, Marelli)!

Give the chocolates away to a friend, neighbour, passing child, the postman, refuge collector, milk man, charity shop workers, teenage hooligan (to be found in town centre of a Saturday night).

Write a big notice and post it where it can be seen

I WILL NOT BE DICTATED TO BY A CHOCOLATE
