I lost another 1 1/2lb tonight, thats 9.5lb in three weeks, not complaining about that smile

Actually I don't mind quinoa, quite like the texture and flavour.

glassortwo Wed 06-May-15 10:00:25

whitewave 1/2 st can make all the difference in clothes the 8lb I have lost has made a difference.
ffinnochio well done smile no I am still to be convinced on quinoa maybe one of those love or hate things like marmite, but at the moment I wont bother smile

Hi glass. I do believe I'm feeling a wee bit trimmer, having cut out some carbs. I walk miles, and come home quite hungry. Instead of diving into toast and butter, I have a plain yogurt & banana It's hard after all that tramping. Lots of water. Usually homemade soup for lunch + apple, and supper has more veg. and less pasta/potatoes/cheese. Made a courgette, tomato, onion, garlic and loads of basil thin lasagne this evening. I'm enjoying finding alternatives and have just discovered quinoa .......I've yet to be convinced!

Like galen I have to lose weight before my holiday in September - 13.2 at the moment and have frock I am using as a model so I reckon that I need to lose about 1/2 stone to feel comfortable in all my posh frocks. My weight rather unhealthily sits around my middle. I find it INCREDIBLY difficult though.
I am sure that low carbs is the way to go though so will concentrate on that.

Galen Tue 05-May-15 13:03:50

Need to think where I could store it though. That is the sort of thing I want, but I'm worried it might runaway with me. I'll have to ask one of the tribunal OTs when I see one. There are one or two.

galen grin would a small hostess trolley that would take a tray be any good for you.
Something like this

www.amazon.co.uk/NRS-Classic-Wheeled-Household-Trolley/dp/B0091CYMF2/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1430826541&sr=8-20&keywords=wheeled+table

I'm going to try counting calories, it worked for me last time.
It's the combination of Cunard food and immobility that does it!

glassortwo Tue 05-May-15 12:45:19

Yes I know galen I used to be the same but my body was in starvation mode and metabolism was not just asleep think it was dead. I was just having an evening meal and gaining weight.

Galen Tue 05-May-15 12:43:50

Have you tried carrying a tray while on crutches?
Need to get a trolley, but it needs to be one I can lean on to hop!grin

Galen Tue 05-May-15 12:42:21

Blimey Glass! That's as much as I'd normally eat in a week!

glassortwo Tue 05-May-15 12:41:16

galen Can you set a tray up with things you can nibble on through the day and it would save you wandering back and forward.

Galen Tue 05-May-15 12:40:40

Yds, not yes!

Galen Tue 05-May-15 12:40:06

It's about 12-15 yes from my chair to the kitchen

Galen Tue 05-May-15 12:38:32

That would mean walking into the kitchen from my lounge too many times for me. It's as much as I can do to get to the loo and back.

glassortwo Tue 05-May-15 12:36:36

skimmed milk!!!!

glassortwo Tue 05-May-15 12:35:42

galen this is an idea of what I had in a day

Breakfast - 2 weetabix and banana using part of my 350ml slimmed milk, measurement different if using any other milk.

mid morning - apple and muller light yoghurt

Lunchtime - ham, lettuce, toms, cucumber, boiled egg and beetroot.

mid afternoon - handful of grapes and shared a kiwi with DGS.

evening meal - salmon marinated in soy sauce and grated ginger then baked, pak choi cooked in a little soy sauce and a portion of rice.

2 x 175ml red wine

tea and coffee all day using milk left or black, and lots of water.

Galen Tue 05-May-15 12:34:38

I'm practically immobile as my arthritis has flared up and I can't weight bare easily. Therefore not many calories expended!

Galen Tue 05-May-15 12:32:55

Half a bottle is as much as I could manage. But I'll only have a large glass (a quart?) I've a tribunal to,or row so need my wits.

glassortwo Tue 05-May-15 12:24:27

That sounds great galen all ingredients are good, but no breakfast? What about lunch, you have to eat enough to get you metabolism moving so best to eat regularly.

What fibre do you have?

Do you measure your red wine as that is very high?
Try to measure 175ml wine and try not to drink the bottle wink

Galen Tue 05-May-15 12:20:51

Might put some red onion in as well?

Galen Tue 05-May-15 12:19:43

No breakfast. I'm having spiralised prostitutes courgetti tonight. I'ts courgette and carrot spirals with tinned toms, garlic, anchovies capers and olives. Fried in 1cal spray oil(hmm won't be the same without olive oil) this washed down with some nice red wine!

glassortwo Tue 05-May-15 12:18:52
