Remember ha thread where we stated what Xmas jobs we intend to do that day, and then came on later and said whether we had done them or not? Well.

How about a thread where we say what exercise we intend to do that day? And then come on say whether we did it? Or not?

You wouldn't have to necessarily do anything huge. No five thousand miles or anything like that. Half hour walking, twenty minutes dancing to Ken Bruce, riding your bike into town if you've got one, (icyalittle has) would be fine. In fact, we would actually have a ban on anything superhuman. smile

Anyone up for it?

That's not all folks! Had to race home including one steep and sweaty hill as I received a text to pick up DGC from school. Then did Tesco shop. Feeling fed up after cooking tea and DS decided to go to the gym first so went for another walk round the village in the dark, almost 2 more miles.

Decorations still need putting in loft and shed, and living room is a sight to behold!! Tomorrow's job plus major hoovering. Then pick up DGD from nursery and the chaos of the weekend starts. Hey Ho! Can't wait till Monday.

Did my walk today (yesterday) nearly 4 miles. Took lots of photos as it was a beautiful day for a change.
1. My favourite local walk.
2. Daddy swan with youngsters. He has brought them up after Mummy was killed by a dog earlier in the year (last year).
3. The river is still flowing fast!

Spent all day taking down decorations AND packed them away AND cleaned........shattered.

I might have to just walk, slowly, to the Co-op, which is only ten minutes away! blush Can't believe how much Xmas has turned this house upside down! Having my glasses on isn't helping. #needscleaning

Up and down stairs a lot, packing. And sorted fridge, including walking to local recycling (that doesn't count as the cycling I have sworn off) with random stuff. Used much energy swearing as I tried to wash hair and dry it one handed. I now look like a bush.
But thank you Jings anyway.

Yes. Taking decs down definitely counts. And swearing at the wet (dirty?) marks on the carpet where we took the Xmas tree out, might have burned a few calories. hmm

I am going to walk to local shops too Crow. A mile each way, same as yours!

Grandma2213 Wed 06-Jan-16 03:01:23

Just found this thread. I started my fitness regime on Monday as planned with a free Zumba class (never done it before) but also walked there and back - one mile each way.

Fully intended to walk today but spent the day taking down and putting away decorations. Does up and down ladders and stairs count? Oh yes I also walked round (and round several times) the local garden centre to choose half price decorations for next year.

Tomorrow (today) I will walk!!

Walked to the village and back in pouring rain!! Just over a mile. I do wish drivers would slow down when they drive past pedestrians and the roads are wet and drains are overflowing. I always do. ?
I am so fed up with constant rain that I decided to walk and get wet. It felt great. So shall do that again tomorrow, slowly building up to longer walks and ignore the complaining from the knees!! Thank you Jings

Mine are down but not put away. I'm not doing anymore today. Bound to have missed some anyway. Will finish in the morning.

Hard work, Xmas.

Stansgran Tue 05-Jan-16 18:00:12

Decorations down but not put away. Lots of toing and froing as the plumber was servicing the ch boiler and the cold burns lots of calories doesn't it she said hopefully. About to do my last lot of exercises. Watched videos of the incipient floods outside a friend's house and I was mentally swimming very hard across the Wansbeck. Eggzorsted now.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 05-Jan-16 16:54:53

that went well

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 05-Jan-16 16:54:29

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 05-Jan-16 16:52:28

Oh my gosh! Yes. Stairs definitely count. wine

Lona Tue 05-Jan-16 16:40:38

I've just done 1 1/2 days moving my ds into new three story house so lots of stairs!! Please tell me that counts jings cos I'm totally knackered now!
?? ?

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 05-Jan-16 16:33:06

Hope you can still enjoy your trip icyalittle.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 05-Jan-16 16:31:55

Only exercise I'm doing today is upping and downing chairs to take decs down. hmm And exhaustion is setting in.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 05-Jan-16 16:29:55

Oh no! sad flowers

#notmyfault

Icyalittle Tue 05-Jan-16 16:26:51

You know when I said on Saturday I was going to do 20 minutes on the rowing machine? Because I fell off my bike last Monday and couldn't cycle? Well, it turns out I had broken my arm a bit... Very dangerous, this exercising. I'm supposed to be going skiing on Friday too. Sigh.

whitewave Mon 04-Jan-16 14:57:10

Have to put off the wisteria as it is still raining and be dark in an hourangry so annoying.

Might go up and down the ladder to the loft instead and put all the decs away.

JackyB Mon 04-Jan-16 13:16:35

I'd have biked to work but I've got a tummy bug and all I can do is crawl to the loo.

On the other hand, I haven't eaten much.....

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 04-Jan-16 09:54:11

Crikey! All that?! You put me to shame! grin

Yes whitewave. That will do nicely. smile

tiredoldwoman Mon 04-Jan-16 09:51:23

I did 15 mins on the bike, then 20mins dancing and floor exercises. Was planning a walk on the beach later but it's wild, windy and raining here . I'll dance more instead ! I've done my ironing enthusiastically as well .

whitewave Mon 04-Jan-16 09:37:01

Well it is pouring here so nothing outdoors for me although DH will be taking the dog. If it stops I will cut back the wisteria to two buds so does a bit of stretching count?

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 04-Jan-16 09:33:29

Can't anyone else say what exercise they intend to do today?! Even if it's just hoovering the living room?! Or taking the dog round the block?!hmm

Can't we get some action slight movement going here? hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 04-Jan-16 09:02:52

If no one else participates in this thread, it could become my personal diary. Like a blog really.

You have been warned. It will be boring.
