Remember ha thread where we stated what Xmas jobs we intend to do that day, and then came on later and said whether we had done them or not? Well.

How about a thread where we say what exercise we intend to do that day? And then come on say whether we did it? Or not?

You wouldn't have to necessarily do anything huge. No five thousand miles or anything like that. Half hour walking, twenty minutes dancing to Ken Bruce, riding your bike into town if you've got one, (icyalittle has) would be fine. In fact, we would actually have a ban on anything superhuman. smile

Anyone up for it?

Thank you Shysal - I'll have a look .

shysal Wed 16-Mar-16 17:11:29

Well done tiredoldwoman! Try reading the 'A new low-carb support thread for 2016' for others trying the MM blood sugar diet. It is an active thread, find it under 'Last Day'.

Delighted to report that I've lost a stone ! The diet's working after all despite my abandonment of the exercise bike . I've kept up the exercising to Mellow Magic in the morning - feeling really good .
I was thinking of doing the 800 cal diet as recommended by Michael Mosley( to lose the next stone ) but it seems awfully low ? Has anyone tried it yet ?

My husband works part-time. He has to go up a flight of stairs 15-20 times a day. Our doctor told him that did not count as exercise He was quite put out.
So don' t know about child care!!

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 02-Mar-16 22:52:09

Childcare counts. Definitely.

I did half hour on exercise bike then sat on my arse for most of rest of the day. Not sure I'm doing this right. hmm

Failed miserably!!!! Had GS all day today. Then DD and GD arrived . Had tea and bath time and ran out of steam.

Maybe tomorrow????

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 01-Mar-16 22:57:55

Oh yes! The Bodyblade!

Good luck thebeeb. You can do it.

Thebeeb Tue 01-Mar-16 22:17:33

I went to the gym tonight. Didn't do any exercise but I had a lovely cappucino.

Tomorrows plan is to make it to the treadmill and walk for 30 minutes. I will let you know if I make it!!!!

Wish me luck.

Body blade jingl. Just the right shape and size to fit neatly in a dark corner. grin

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 01-Mar-16 20:03:54

Sounds like you're doing alright cornergran. Gardening is good, and you actually get something back in the summer. smile I can't actually remember what the BB is (it's not bl** bike is it?) but you can't do anything that makes you hurt.

I ride my bike Grannylin. Cycling sounds a bit ambitious for what I do these days. grin

cornergran Tue 01-Mar-16 19:50:47

I was so hoping this thread wouldn't be resurrected as I have done nothing planned.............I did do two hours in the garden yesterday and a long walk around a shopping centre today. The BB is languishing back in the wardrobe, it looks comfortable so I won't disturb it grin. Think I do best with ad hoc exercise!

grannylyn65 Tue 01-Mar-16 19:34:45

But you cycle as well jings??

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 01-Mar-16 18:37:32

I did the walk. Two miles. Quite enough. IMO.

BBbevan Tue 01-Mar-16 14:03:40

Sorry It closed

BBbevan Tue 01-Mar-16 14:03:02

Grandma2213, I did Zumda twice a week for 5 yrs. I closed after Christmas due to lack of interest. Started off with 40+ people , ended with 5. No other class near me sad

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 01-Mar-16 13:13:46

The rain has gone and the sun has actually just come out here (!) and there's a bit of blue sky, so I might get off my duff and do something. A walk I think.

BBbevan Tue 01-Mar-16 13:05:00

Yes,I decided to walk the very long way home yesterday and I did it. Meant to go out this morning, but cold ,wet and windy. So might pinch Jings idea and dance in the hall. But to the Rolling Stones

f77ms Tue 01-Mar-16 08:47:49

Wow you all sound like superwomen . I will try 5 mins on the treadmill and see if it sets my hip off !
I changed my diet after getting the results of some blood tests... High Choloesterol( Can`t spell it) and although I haven't weighed myself my clothes are looking very baggy , I look on food labels and anything which has a red symbol for fat content I avoid .
Tiredoldwoman , sorry you haven't lost what you wanted to but 4lbs is still to be applauded x

tiredoldwoman Tue 01-Mar-16 05:13:22

It's March 1 . Two whole months since we started theNew Year New Me diet and exercise plan .
The bike got abandoned as it started hurting my back but I continued my floor exercises and the healthy eating.Together they're making me feel strong and positive.Well I was , until this morning..... only 4 pounds weight loss on the scales ! I was expecting a lot more , now I'm sullen and grumpy ! Ocht !

cornergran Sun 17-Jan-16 08:17:36

No snow, envious, but did walk again. Not for long but being outside lifts the spirits. Sorted a bit in the loft so some bending and stretching. The BB is still out. Did just a few minutes to appease it. Will spend time this week with a friend and a very large dog so more walks inevitable.

Grandma2213 Sun 17-Jan-16 01:23:46

Fed up today (yesterday), cleaning up, cooking (endlessly), clearing paths through the toys, blah blah blah! Then it snowed. Outside at the front of the house with 5 DGC, chasing, patterns in the snow, snowball fights, mini snow men, giggles, oh and yes football with DGS. That never stops whatever the weather! Great fun. I'm just a big kid really. grin

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 15-Jan-16 13:51:25

I did think about doing some cleaning, but DD rang and told me the sun was shining (I did actually know! hmm) and said I should go for a walk. So, a walk it was. Knee got painful on the downhill bits though. Sigh.

cornergran Fri 15-Jan-16 08:43:59

Walked for an hour on the sea front yesterday. No BB, loved being outside. Cleaning today - the windows need de-cobwebbing as well as the usual clean. Could be enough, see how the aches go, do want to persevere if I can though.

Grandma2213 Fri 15-Jan-16 00:55:18

Just looked up body blade. Looks interesting. I might consider one too Jings. It does look as it I might get a few slaps in the face though, me being somewhat unco-ordinated.

cornergran Thu 14-Jan-16 07:31:01

Recommend the body blade for taking up so little space in the months (years) it isn't used. My space saving device is black, hides nicely in the wardrobe. Perhaps add those battery fairy lights? grin
