Hi everyone. Can I join in as well? I've gone through all the 'sensible' diets there are, lose weight and then slowly put it back on again. Looking at what we eat it's actually pretty reasonable - very similar to Slimming World - but we do like treats, such as cake or some sweets, and I know that my portion sizes are generally too large because I don't have that thing in my head that tells me when I've eaten too much. So I'm cutting down portion sizes, really cutting back on carbs, and looking on this as a long term strategy. I'm really only aiming to loose around 2 to 3 lbs per month - even though I've got about 4 stone to lose - because I want this to be the habitual way that I eat. I also have the disadvantage that I have permanent AF, so I can't do lots of walking - about 2 miles a day is my limit and my total amount of energy for the day gone! However, I've lost about 16lbs since the beginning of the year, so it is working. I'd just like to belong to a group that I can chat about problems with.
