I’ve been on the 5:2 for a couple of years now and it keeps me on the straight and narrow. I’ve done far more than my share of overeating and drinking this week, but as long as I have my two fast days (today and Saturday), I won’t put any weight on.

And I’m actually enjoying my fast today, safe in the knowledge that I can get back to those leftover goodies tomorrow!

Well done you. I shall be joining you on Jan 1st but not dieting just healthy eating and ramp up the exercise with walking and as soon as possible back on the golf course - got my first refresher lesson booked.

......had a few days off, but today I am back to healthy eating , really can't wait till next week, before you know it a half a stone would soon go back on....
