HRT over 60

Hi, I am 59 years of age (almost 60) and I recently started on hrt at my request. Recently, I have heard so many positive things about it that it has made me think that I should have went on it years ago. I have read a few things that state that it is not ideal to start it at this age and just wondered if anyone else has commenced it over 60. I consider myself to be a relatively fit and healthy person but still suffer from some menopausal symptoms.
