Oooh, it's now gone up from 750 calories?! Maybe I'll try it again in that case. It worked for as long as I could be inventive enough to make vegetarian meals adding up to 750 calories, but I always felt a tiny bit short-changed and longed to add a piece of fruit or an extra egg. Evenings were the most testing - eating at starvation level all day meant headaches and stomach cramps all evening, so if I was going to break the diet it would usually be then. But with an extra 50 calories to play with, I could at least have a tiny snack before bed. I lost a stone in 3 months, which is plenty fast enough, so it's time to dust off the old 750 Diet cookery book!
