Someone mentioned that they used one of those small pedal exercise bikes that you can also put on a table to exercise your arms, but I can’t find it. My osteopath has just recommended that I should use one and wondered which one to get; there are so many on the market. I’m worried that I’m not getting any cardiovascular exercise these days.

I have one similar to this, lots of choice on Ebay. This type is folding so can be hidden away when not in use. It is easy to use, except that I can't get my feet in the straps, but it can be used without.

Thanks. The sort I need though is one that I can put on a table and exercise my arms with as they get your heart rate up. I googled them the other day after someone mentioned them on here because I didn’t know they existed. I’m also considering getting one of those grounding mats that someone mentioned, too. I should make a note of these things when I read them. I’m always having to look up your banana bread recipe!

If you search on Amazon for “Pedal Exerciser” you will get a list. The very cheap ones are not worth bothering with. I have one similar to the one in the attached photo, cost around £30 five years ago.

Forgot to add, I use it on a table for my arms and on the floor for my legs.

Great, thanks. It’s more my arms I want to use it for as I’m not sure that my knees could cope with it. I’ve had various full size exercise bikes in the living room that I’ve never used ( drove the family mad).

The one I mentioned is for use with arms as well as legs.

MayBee these are my static pedals from Amazon a company called Easylife £25.99. These fold up but I don't as I use the everyday against a wall and do 400 rotations sitting on a dinner room chair . I don't put my feet in the loops but on the pedal tops.

It can be placed on a table and by putting your hands on the loops pedal that way. There is a screw you can tighten to make it harder but I use it on the loosest setting. . There are different counters but I just use the counter and RPM. When you reach 10,000 it goes back to zero . It's not heavy but very stable .

You have meet me so if I can use it you can.

Thanks. I buy a lot of stuff from Easylife so I’ll check it out. I’m doing all the things my osteopath recommended and cycling was one of them.
