Hope everyone’s holidays weren’t too terribly sad. We just hung out and watched movies.
My X is calling a lawyer tomorrow to try and get our ES evicted. How can you throw a sick person out?

We just had a quiet one. Enjoyed chatting with DD and her partner on video. But then our DDs friend got taken into ICU and put in an induced coma and ventilated with Covid. Only in her 30s. This virus is so nasty.

Morning ladies. I hope you managed to enjoy Christmas. We had a lovely time, our girls popped round in the morning and we exchanged presents, then they went to S's mum's.

We had a lovely dinner and took the dogs for a walk in the afternoon. The girls came round Boxing day for a meal so all in all it was very nice.

I'm sorry to hear about your son Rhinestone. Your ex has been struggling with him for some time from what you've said. I seem to remember he refuses to wear a mask and isn't taking the pandemic seriously,

That's very worrying about your DD's friend hugshelp. One of our nieces and her finance both have Covid, they're at home but feeling really poorly.

Let's hope that they can get the vaccinations rolled out asap and we can get control of this horrible virus.

I can't wait to get this year over with all ready. The vaccines, a new president and a new year give me some hope. Yesterday I found another card from my ES saying how he will always respect me? Another lie. I think I have to stop cleaning out drawers.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year. Had a busy day today, all the Christmas decs have been put away for another year. The house looks a bit bare but it's nice to be back to normal, whatever normal is these days.

Another of my DDs friends is ill with covid and getting worse and she's pregnant. They tried to wean the first friend off the ventilator but it didn't go well so she's back on it for now. One lung collapses and she's too weak for a ct scan. I really hope we turn the corner with this thing soon.

Not the best start to the New Year with another lock down is it. I hope your D's friend is getting better hugshelp, it must be a real worry with her being pregnant.

The weather here has been horrible, wind and rain and we'd have preferred some snow as at least it looks nice.

Hi all. Horrible things happening across the pond this week.
My X told me he has a name of a very competent therapist who works with people who have family in Quanon . He was going to call her about my ES. I feel hope slipping away . My X says he won’t leave his house saying my X needs him. I am encouraging my DH to write that last letter to his ES too.
Hope this year is better for all of us.

You were very much in my thoughts when I watched with shock and horror what happened on Wednesday Rhinestone. It must be very unsettling for you and stressful with all of this going on on top of Covid.

You and your X must feel between a rock and a hard place when it comes to your ES.

This year hasn't started well here or for you so we can only hope is improves. Stay safe.

Thank you Smileless. This last year has been the worst for me. The pandemic, finding out my ES is involved in Quanon, and Trump inciting the hate groups that follow him have left their psychological mark . And to have children that are not in your life on top of this is too much.
But like all of us we soldier on the best we can. I’m thinking positively that after the 20 th our lives here will be calmer.

Hope you're all ok, or as ok as possible, things being as they are.

Hi hugshelp, we're OK thanks but finding this lock down more difficult than the last one, due I think to the new variant and the worry that it's transmitting much faster.

We have a fridge freezer which doesn't provide a lot of freezer space, so last week bought an additional freezer (fridge size) and have stocked up so we can significantly reduce the amount of shopping we get weekly, only needing to do a big shop once a month.

Although it is quieter here since this lock down began, it's no where near as quiet as it was last March which is making us wary about going out.

It's OK with the dogs, we have a large cemetery a 3 minute walk away with open spaces to let the dogs off their leads. We've stopped walking them in the usual places because it's just too busy and too many people don't seem to understand the concept of social distancing.

You must be counting down the days to Biden's inauguration Rhinestone. It will a huge relief I'm sure when he's officially the new president. Let's hope it goes well with no out breaks of violence.

Smileless Yes I am thank you. The details that are emerging each day from the Capitol are scary. I fear for the days to come. What scares me most is that my ES ,believing in Quanon ,could have been there.
A picture memory popped up on my cell phone today of him and my DGD. It just breaks my heart. I don’t know how you managed having your ES living down the street for all those years. But you did it and now you are in a better place.
