Harry: "I want my Father back. I want my brother back"

Looks-wise, there was always that what passes for humour comment about who Harry's father was. I couldn't see any resemblance to either parent when he was a child but as an adult, particularly if he's looking pensive, he is the image of the King across his eyes and nose.

William, on the other hand, clearly looked like his mother but I could see nothing of his father in him at all. Having read the comment about Windsor jowls above, I'll go and have another look at him.

Its just not nice to voice any mental comparisons he may be having. Sometimes we think things, but we wouldn't actually say them to a sibling or friend because it would hurt them or undermine them, so we keep the thought to ourselves.

I'm sure he must have been brought up better, but seems determined to undermine W. Shame he has carried the chip on his shoulder and allow it to grow to mammoth proportions!

Harry, imo, looks very like Diana's sister Sarah, much more a Spencer than a Windsor looks wise.

Harry has always been rather smug about the fact he has (had) a good head of hair compared to his brother, I remember seeing them both chatting to reporters years ago and it was brought up then, albeit in a joking way.

He should keep quiet about it now though, no longer a funny dig as it was when they were in their 20’s.

Plus his hair is certainly not what it was, is that Meg’s influence on his life, or just natural ageing?

I suppose over the years everyone said how W looked like Diana and perhaps H resented it , so is now happy to see W age and change. It's vindictive and sad.

The jealousy/hatred/bitterness combo is very ugly and will eventually show in H's face. There are worse things than "not looking like Diana any more"

Perhaps he felt sub-conscious jealousy that his brother looked more like his beloved mother whereas he looks like his father - but he does have the Spencer red hair, like his Uncle Charles.

Absolutely. And when William has anything on his head, cap, hat etc etc. he's there, looking just like his mother.

I think everyone had spotted it but I had no idea that Harry had been sensitive about it.

Harry’s just pointing out that Diana didn’t have a bald head…But then neither did she have a beard!

Actually William has the rather jowly look of the Windsors, mostly like Princess Anne. Margaret had it and so does Andrew.
George V disguised his with a beard, so maybe that's why William wanted one.
Harry has much better bone structure.

Even with the loss of his blond hair, William still has Diana's face shape, eyes and nose, something Harry never enjoyed. Harry is a Spencer, but the male line not the female. Jealousy can be a terrible thing, it can consume someone to the point of self destruction.

I don't understand making such a big deal of what your sibling looks like, unless its some kind of obsession.

Whether the motive is critical or jealous, trying to bring shame on a sibling only shames the person who tries to stir up trouble and shame. Trying to blow out someone else's candle does not make yours burn brighter.

Needing to criticise your siblings looks is a very low blow and also I believe it could be projection of the fact that H isn't that confident in his own looks. It's very superficial to think like that, too. Perhaps M feeds it and makes that comparison? Not healthy.

My Dad (who I believe went bald in his twenties) claimed that baldness was a sign of virility. He also used to claim it has a sign of an active brain saying "grass doesn't grow on busy streets"

We can all see that William's hair is thinning, like his Uncle Edward's, but it doesn't need pointing out by a younger brother with a headful of hair.

It's petty and spiteful.

William always looks smart, but I would not describe Harrys hair as smart. It has a coarse look and seems multi directional, plus thinning too. I have thought its looked quite a mess as it looks like he fluffs it up sometimes. I suppose he's probably quite bothered about his thinning hair to comment on Williams head.

Many people shave their head to avoid that messy look. For all we know, William may do. Not that it matters in the least. Fancy comparing yourself to a sibling like that. Nasty!

I'm not in a position to criticise anyone's hair even though mine looks presentable (if rather short!) after a visit to the hairdresser today. 🧒
