His father and brother will now never know if they have a private conversation with Harry, if it will remain private and if they don't say what he wants to hear, in all probability it wont.

What part has Harry taken? Where's his responsibility? He's even tried to blame William and Kate for him wearing that Nazi uniform!!!

A lot of his 'truth' has been shown to be anything but the truth.

Just because you can do a thing, just because you and others think you have the right to do a thing, doesn't mean you should.

Unfortunately, his current behaviour makes it improbable that what is said in private would remain in private, or that anything said would not be converted into Harry’s ‘truth’.
He probably has the apology he’d like lined up in his head. Anything said that does not match up with that will be unacceptable.
If you’ve experienced an apology that you feel is insincere, and just saying the words or it doesn’t fit what you want, it doesn’t work. I’ve heard people talk of apologies from estranged family members, that fits that perfectly.

That all this defense is against the media primarily and exactly what I said, his family standing back and doing nothing.

He has every right to tell his own story whether people trash him for that is up to them

I know what I would do if I was a member of the royal family (thank God I’m not) and that is completely ignore Harry and everything he has said. I’d get on with my own life and completely ignore him. I would do my best to ignore him at any future family events too, much as he was ignored at Prince Philip’s funeral by most of the family.
Perhaps that’s the way Charles and William will behave. It’s the only way to deal with this sort of behaviour in my opinion, don’t dignify it with a response.

Harry considers them toxic. They, probably, view him the same way.

As with all families, I would imagine mistakes have been made by both sides.

But, there are thousands of miles between them, and both have the wealth to live comfortable, cushioned, fulfilled lives.

So, it really would be best all round, if they all just got on with their lives, doing what they do. Both sides to cease with all the briefings.

This ongoing argument just diminishes the reputation of this country, especially abroad.

Our government must be cheering though - despite the absolute shambles this country is now in, the whole thing is getting buried by the media, under an avalanche of royal drivel. 🙄

It was a low blow bringing back the pain of losing Caroline Flack, for her family, friends and fans.

I was floored when he even said "She didn't have a big ego". But she overnight went from a tv presenter to Harry's bit of rough, just because she had worked in a factory once.

I thought that last night when he mentioned Caroline Flack. There was no need to hurt her family any more than they are hurting by losing their daughter. Her agent has demanded him to be stripped of his titles. He just keeps on and on hurting other people, but whinges on about his wife hurting inside with comments about her. What a stupid, sad lad he is.

My sympathy for Harry has evaporated today; I am disgusted with him.
Apparently he has mentioned in his book the lovely young lady who used to introduce Love Island and is now no longer with us. What on earth must her family think! I feel so sad for them.

I'm afraid he's already become a bit of a circus performer, as he performs for the media and those prepared to pay him for his outpourings.

What cannot be denied, regardless of who if anyone in the Oprah interview used the word racist (I didn't watch it), is that the press, social media and some of H's & M's celebrity supporters ran with it.

I did see when William a day or two after the interview was broadcast was carrying out an official engagement, a reporter called out asking him if his family was racist. He said no.

So why didn't H if not both of them quell the allegations? I suspect it was because it suited their 'victim' narrative. It was that, that fuelled the vitriol against the late Queen's former lady in waiting and why so much was made of it.

The RF is racist. The institution of the Monarchy is racist.

I do have sympathy for H. He's clearly a troubled man who needs help but that is no excuse for what he has done and continues to do to those that love him.

I actually cannot see what Harry has got to complain about. being the spare is by far the better part to play.

While the eldest child is constrained by the title that will one day be theirs, the spare has the world as their oyster, they can do what they likes.

They could become chartered accountants, or circus performers, a nurses or farmers, or, if they prefer it, just walk away like members of the Swedish and Japanese royal families have done. Retreating to private life.

The Duke of Gloucester trained and worked as an architect, when, in his case, his older brother dies and he found out that he was no longer the spare, but the heir, he just continued with his career, appearing at some Royal occasions like weddings and jubilees, but otherwise not part of 'the firm'.

There are precedents galore, in this country and elsewhere for people in Prince Harry's situation withdrawing quietly into private life.

Prince Harry however is the only one to want to have his cake and eat it and then kick off a tantrum when he is told he cannot do both.

He must be exhausted carrying those chips he has on his shoulders around all the time. He needs to get on with this wonderful life he says he has and just enjoy it. Life short, he shouldn't spend it full of bitterness and blaming others for things he's said and done.

I believe the number of kills was a very bad thing to share for all the reasons others note. Security being paramount.

I think, anything shared about virginity or his parts is just vulgar and pushing against common decency, a middle finger if you will.

The rest, as I've read of here, not seen or know personally, sound to be things that bother him. Might would me as well, if I were raised as he was? Chance for his father to settle.

I'm not sure media are reporting what he truly wrote, or turning tidbits.

Yes that bit did make me feel uncomfortable as a pacifist. I am more referring to the overall outrage about the interview and whether he should be telling his story at all.

About how many people he killed? Or other things?

Why shouldn’t Harry say how he feels? Why shouldn’t he describe his story, his experiences ? People seem so angry about that, I can’t understand it. I watched it, I saw no ‘hatred’ though, I saw a man describing his life experiences . That’s okay. He said at the beginning he wanted the opportunity to tell his own story as for so long its been told for him by so many different people in a distorted way. I understand that. How difficult and frustrating must it be watching people incorrectly and inaccurately describe your own life & who you are repeatedly… it would annoy me anyway.
