I have no sympathy for Harry or Meghan everything that they have said about what happened in the past as been to the press. Meghan is a great actress, her woe is me acting might sucker in some people but I just thought ick. It’s obvious that she was disappointed to be marrying the spare.

I think they are pursuing their charitable work in the US with the relevant publicity. It doesn't seem to get coverage in the UK.

All those, so dismissive of the press etc. Everything you know about this story you will have got from the media at some time.

No one would have even heard of the RF, or H&M, except a few personal friemds, if it wasn't from the media.

(I can’t see why the guards’ advice would not be true, but I don’t know if D&F were advised against leaving the apartment because I wasn’t there.)

I've no idea why they left. I have no idea why she didn't wear a seat belt. I do know many people questioned the post mortem results including the driver's parents who were denied any independent tests. It was alleged the blood tests were switched. And the reports about him drinking in the Ritz varied. There were also questions about the amount of money he had. I have no idea if there is anything in these allegations but pretending it is so cut and dried is just wrong .

I really cannot accept speculation about Diana’s death such as this. Diana was in a car that was being driven by a man who was drunk and speeding. She was not wearing a seat belt.
That says it all. It was obviously a horrible accident.
Speculation about Diana’s death is exactly that. Are you suggesting that the driver agreed to “take one for the firm” and do a kamikaze job? Or perhaps Dodi’s dad arranged it in a “If my son can’t have her, nobody can and I’ll sacrifice my son to make that happen.” Or even a trial run for a film idea with Dodi and Diana chanting “faster, faster, don’t let them catch us!”
All ludicrous suggestions, but no more ludicrous than some of the other suggestions put forward.
Can’t we at least let her have the dignity of being the victim of a tragic accident?

Except Glorianny the post mortem showed he was well over the limit on this particular night. I have seen that reported many, many times. I didn’t at any point say he was an alcoholic and the comprehensive and thorough examination and medical which you say was done shortly before the fateful journey in no way proves that he wasn’t drunk on the night in question. People can get drunk you know without being an alcoholic. The bar tender at the Ritz claimed to have served him many shots whilst he was in the bar waiting for the couple to finish dinner.

The driver had been drinking that night.

The bodyguards advised against leaving the hotel

They were in the Ritz owned by Fayed, the hotel was surrounded by paps,

They chose to leave the hotel for his apartment.

Was there no room at the inn so they had to play ‘catch us if you can’ with the paps.

The thing is, if M & H weren't being so snipey about the some of the rest of the royal family and really got down to their charitable work with the same amount of publicity, I think everyone would love them.

It's all the bitching about how mean people were and how they are such victims that gets up people's noses.

Well yes, if they had come on GN or MN anonymously and griped about their lives incognito they could have found support. They would have had to say "the family business", not RF and use other code words, though.

Megan has a history of estrangement, Harry doesn't.

The royals are maintaining a dignified silence. I can’t blame them for that because it’s exactly what I would do, and indeed do do because I don’t like conflict very much. When there have been difficulties within my own family I have tended to withdraw rather than have a lot of conflict. One member of my family (not any of my children but a reasonably close relative) does chase conflict and I have withdrawn from her again. It’s sad but sometimes necessary and so I’d guess that’s what the royals are doing. I don’t know, but would guess so.

Harry did say in a speech that he had taken the decision to enable “a step forward into what I hope will be a quieter life”.

So not privacy. But not a quieter life either.😬
