My DSs were raised in the real world and are useful and productive members of society.
Harry was raised in a bubble and an institution his main purpose being a substitute. Not surprisingly he has few skills and needs expensive protection. so he's making money any way he can.
Perhaps his loved ones should have given more thought to this before they threw him out.

There is support and guidance available, both from official and voluntary sectors. Harry knows that because he helped set up The Invictus Games too and will know how and where to get help and training.
There was a wealth of opportunity out there for him without being part of the Royal 'Firm'. He has seized some of these opportunities but would never have been in this unhappy position if he'd pursued all the opportunities available to him and not tried to earn money by publicly criticising his family.

But his charity and humanitarian work is continuing Callistemon21 I don't suppose he feels he can make money from that though. They were presented with a "Ripple of Hope" Award in December.

In the end I could not even be in the same room as he was so self entitled. Fate blessed us when he went down under in search of a new audience. Even Harry's tones and expressions are similar.

The truth is, surely, that none of us know. This is on the face of it, a private family disagreement being stirred up by the press, and frankly, I am indifferent to the the entire family. I mean them no harm, but they have no impact on my life.

He wasn't banished from the realm!
He went, as you said yourself, of his own accord, to try to make his own way in life.

He went to Canada (isn't that part of 'the realm"?). He came back to negotiate a role, wanted to be half-in, half-out then was informed he was out. He was left with no protection and his whereabouts public knowledge. Not surprisingly he left the realm for a safe haven.
Now this may not be as the RF saw it. But as they only leak and brief Royal correspondents when they feel like it I don't know.

No, my favourite is "he always looks so miserable"

Makes we wonder if people are following him around all day counting how many times he smiles.

They all have enough money to go to group therapy and sort this out behind closed doors really, if they all wanted to.

I'm estranged from a parent and siblings too, so of course I will post with bias BUT I don't recognise his behaviour as I was deeply upset I'd been estranged by a parent - they are supposed to love you unconditionally and I actually (before therapy) blamed myself as I had been abused and manipulated over a number of years - so of course it was my fault iykwim

I don't recognise Harry's actions as that of my own but I do understand the need to be loved by your parents, even when you are an adult, even in your 40s. It is what they are supposed to do after all. Would I go on television and talk about it? No, I can't understand that but maybe powerful men are more vengeful in general compared to ordinary women

Didn't Meghan sue the Mail for publishing extracts from a letter she wrote to her father? I admit I never read the extracts, nor have I seen the latest Netflix series. What occurs to me is that she was upset a private letter not intended for publication had been shared with others. Doesn't the same go for private conversations between individuals? From what I have read Harry and Meghan have both reported on and given their version of private happenings and conversations because it suited them to do so, which seems a tad hypocritical. I have a family member to whom we talk only on the most superficial level as I cannot trust her with anything that I'd prefer to remain private. When trust is broken it is very hard to mend.

They didn’t ‘throw him out’. H&M made their own decision to leave when things didn’t work out how they wanted it to. And they were given another year after that to see how it all worked out, with the option being that the door was open for them to return.
