Just a quick on to show our exhibition. Tiring day but lots of laughter with the 4 of use. Spent from 10 until 3. 30 putting it up. Didn't get home until after 4 .30.
Well it it is .

Bridie22 Tue 01-Oct-24 13:32:08

Allsorts, have you managed to sort your window?, not the weather for inside waterfalls!
Hope today's a better day πŸ™‚

I wouldn't engage with the dickhead anymore Yogin, I know the H bars are pricey, but might be worth it to wipe the arrogance of his face.πŸ‘

Hi Babs Sounds like you are enjoying your holiday despite the rain. Best of luck with finding your perfect pooch. You go in to the centre to meet the dog you have chosen online. The first one I wanted to look at was a Shinx, but the centre said no, as I have my small GC over a lot. I noticed he was brought back to the dogs trust a few times, once he bite a visitor! My next was my lovely Joey smile

Yoginimeisje Tue 01-Oct-24 09:24:35

Thanks Allsorts I'm sitting here roasting with my hood hairdryer on blush

Sparkly I spoke to my estD's vicar when first estranged, he told me they don't attend church any more. My estD liked going but he didn't.

Whiff nice to go away and I am staying in UK from now on too. I fancy Wales, I have been there once with my H [ex] & C as he has a cousin living there. I'm asked a lot about my next yoga retreat, but I'm sticking to my decision and no more.
Agree about little children, I can hear the little one running around and laughing, I love them first thing in the morning, so sweet.

Sparklygran I watch that 'who do you think you are' very interesting. Ole Murs was on last week and as he comes from Essex, same as me, and his ancestors come from Riga in Lativa where I've been to visit, I found it very interesting. This week was Gemma Colins, I watched it yesterday afternoon, very good, quite sad in part, she came across well.
Hope your shopping arrives without a problem!

Birdie they seem nice, not as much noise as I thought there'd be. Yes, we can join forces against Dickhead next door, that caravan has been gone since Friday and he is still parking over the front of my property! So, he now has an empty big driveway, plus the front that he can park on. My son said; say nothing to him, my son will finish the driveway this weekend and then we will see if we can get him a parking ticket [as he did to me] If not then will need to pay for the 'H' bar. Such a horrible man, no need for it. I would like to pop a note through his door saying; 'What a delight to see that old caravan gone, now you can park on your driveway and leave the front of our house free for us that live here'.

Whiff Yes, must be gremlins! I drove to the park late morning and then to my class in the evening and back again, no problems! So, fingers crossed.

Good morning all from Bath.
First of October already, I know we all say this but where did the time go?
Thanks everyone for good wishes.
Hotel is really nice, will go down to breakfast soon. Arrived on the train yesterday afternoon, lots of rain but we were prepared, as frequent ramblers/walkers we have excellent waterproofs. Think we will need them.
Had a lovely dinner at an Italian restaurant last night, and rain eased off enough for us to have a bit of a stroll before going back to hotel where we met a lovely couple from Canada, sat and had a good old chat and a hot chocolate before bed.
Hope you are all ok.
Looking forward to your exhibition pics Whiff.
Take care xxx

Had a dreadul day the seal has broken on one of my windows and rain pouring in, tesco made a mess of my apple pay payments no receipts for a refund. Going back to cash if or/when sorted. Ringing up to sort it out was treated like an idiot for not getting a receipt which the store couldn't give me.Hope your car is behaving itself Yoga, Whatever the reason for your new neighbours being there I hope they are good neighbour.Won’t the awful neighbour be able to park where he does now when your son has completed the work?.

SparklyGrandma glad your priest listened to you . My husband always said I had a black thumb. But since moving here found I have a green on even have a green house and go some veg. I planted 2 raised beds this year one with alpines and the other with herbs .

My husband and dad were brilliant gardeners . My brother and sister in law have an allotment each. My sister in law's has raised beds so she can reach from her wheelchair. They have a cockerel and 4 hens . They have a large garden but it's just a garden to enjoy and entertain their family and friends.

I can kill house plants with a look .
There is heavy flooding in my area and surrounding towns and villages. Even my garden is flooded. I had soak aways fitted 2 years ago but the rain is very heavy .

Your daffs may come back in the spring they might just be dormant .

SparklyGrandma Mon 30-Sept-24 11:52:33

Hi everyone including Smileless Whiff Babs03 Allsorts.

My priest listened then when leaving he remarked that while some families are a blessing, others are not. He said he understood there would not be reconciliation and he said he would pray for me about this issue. He was kind and listened.

I said I was sorry it had taken me a while to raise my family with him.
My heart was beating fast when I said my little paragraph.

Feel relieved.

Onto happier things, I have my Waitrose Christmas delivery slot. On the 24th!

Sorry for mentioning the C word.

Last Spring, no daffs appeared after I planted 50 extra. I think they drowned. The crocuses flowered so have some of those to plant but I think I’ll cover the pots outside so the rain water has limited access.

Gardening is my hobby as well as family history. Pre great great grandparents!

Have a lovely week those estranged like me xx

Yogin it must have been a Gremlin that got into your engine to keep out of the rain . 😁. Glad your car is working again .

Your neighbours sound nice but it will be hard keeping little ones quiet .But then again I like hearing children . They do come out with funny things. My youngest grandson has no volume control. I have definitely turned into my mom as I am always talking to children at bus stops or on the bus .

Allsorts glad you have almost finished your decluttering . I loved decluttering as it decluttered my mind . Mind you found things over the weekend putting my washed summer coats away and getting my winter ones out that I don't need so got a bag for the charity shop.

Hope your headache goes soon . Your idea of plenty of trips sounds great That's why I am planning on having 2 holidays a year from now on as I enjoyed myself this year . They will only be in GB missed the window where I could have gone abroad . But there are so many places I never went with my husband as I could never go somewhere I went with him . Those memories are precious.

Babs glad I didn't put my foot in it . Fingers and toes crossed about the bungalow you have seen and you get a buyer for your house and it all goes through. Bath is somewhere I have never been. So look forward to hearing all about it . Have a wonderful time .

Smiles how annoying about the completion date hopefully it happens next week . But at least the house is empty as you both worked like demons getting it cleared.

Bridie life can be harsh but it can also be wonderful. Hope you are making the most of yours . But life would be boring if it was plain sailing . Mind you some people seem to sail through it with no problems that they will ever admit to. A hard way to live . If it wasn't for problems in my life I wouldn't have gotten to know all of you and other threads I ramble on.

Sit fit this afternoon and help setting up our exhibition tomorrow.

Take care everyone one .

Bridie22 Mon 30-Sept-24 10:25:08

Life can be harsh sometimes can't it Yogi? Hope your new neighbours are considerate and peaceful.
They might tackle the parking maniac for you!!!

Yoginimeisje Mon 30-Sept-24 09:58:43

Just saw mum & baby going out, sounding very sweet; baby saying 'mummy, mummy' 'she; yes, darling we're going to the shops' All wrapped up against the pouring rain. I feel sorry for them as it looks to me like they have had a failed business resulting in them losing their home. So they have bought the best they could afford instead of throwing their money away on a private rental.

Yoginimeisje Mon 30-Sept-24 09:37:14

New upstairs neighbours have moved in and it is the blonde lady with 3 C & H! How they will fit everyone in I don't know. Have spoken to them, seem nice & friendly, no problem about the wall, they said their survey pointed out the wall was unstable.

Seen the little ones, one looks about 4 the other about 14months. Haven't seen the older one yet. Lots of visitors though, suppose both sets of family & friends. I'll pop a 'new home' card through their door tomorrow and invite her in for coffee and a chat.

They have clearly downsized as their back garden is full of large garden furniture, a BBQ and lots more.

Yoginimeisje Mon 30-Sept-24 09:30:02

Unbelievably, dickhead next door has moved his caravan! Still parked outside my property though angry hope that will change soon. Wonder if it's because our wall has gone, so he knows he's days of parking over us is numbered hmm

Yoginimeisje Mon 30-Sept-24 09:27:03

So much for lovely walkies Saturday. Car wouldn't start! So had to walk to the neariest green space & then home. Thought it must be the battery, but son checked when he got home and not the battery. Booked in to local garage, they said 'jump start, to get it to them, but googled and an auto car cannot be jump started! My son kindly to me to work Sunday morning & picked me up again. Went out at 4pm yesterday and thought I'd just give it one last try, hy presto, it worked first time. Got it to the garage, turned off thinking I was lucky and it wouldn't work a second time, but it did! and 2nd & 3rd time. Drove to local park, took Joey for walk, back to car, no problems! Fingers crossed everyone that it starts again today. Need car today for walkies then evening class tonight.

Yoginimeisje Mon 30-Sept-24 09:17:04

Well done with decluttering Allsorts If you do decide to move, you would have already done the sorting out, so will be a bit easier.

Yoginimeisje Mon 30-Sept-24 09:14:26

Babs good luck with finding a doggie. You can look on their webpage first, they have the picture of the dog and its character etc. They didn't put a picture of my Joey on, they told me he was sooo handsome, they didn't want anyone just taking him for he's looks, they just put his charactor etc. Down.

Allsorts Mon 30-Sept-24 07:15:27

Hope everyone is ok. Enjoy Bath Babs., whatever the weather.
I don't like the weekends, I manage in the week but it's worse weekends as don't see anyone and I tend to over do it. I've almost completed my de cluttering and feel I could move when I decide to without excess baggage. It's very freeing. All my affairs in order to so this year I've concentrated on that. Got a permanent headache and decided I'm going to get as many breaks as I can, whilst I can, there's a lot of the I haven't seen.
Hope you get completion soon Smikeless it does sound a nightmare moving all these last minute things, the system is so complicated.
