Some lovely news today though. Guess who I had coffee with in a park near us. Yogi and Joey!!
Turns out they live just up the road, so next time her nasty neighbour gives her a hard time he better watch out!!
So nice to meet up, she is such a warm and friendly person and Joey is a darling 🌺🙏🏾

Is so cruel Smiles, so very cruel, to stop loving grandparents from seeing their GCs.
Sometimes I wonder how our estranged ACs manage to square a circle, accusing us of being awful parents whilst at the same time robbing their children of a relationship with their grandparents. Hardly good parenting right there.

Afternoon everyone.

We've had a nice run out to a garden centre for lunch, bought some more baubles for the trees and a hedgehog house .

Never have been able to watch wildlife programmes Bridie so if Mr. S. wants too, he's consigned to another room. Until you're able to make a decision one way or another, it is hard to know what to do for the best for all those occasions when you wish things had turned out differently.

It really is horrible when people spread lies about you Allsorts and I think it depends on whose doing the telling and to whom as to whether or not it's worth tackling them.

I think we all shed a tear or two at this time of the year Babs . We never did get to spend Christmas with our GC so that's one memory we can't look back on .

@Allsorts I hope and pray she does read your message 🙏🏾
On Xmas eve we will light a candle in a church near us.
The memories of xmases when our eldest and GCs were with us seem such a long time ago now. They were babies but are now teenagers.
Will be teary at some point over Xmas but will hold others who love us dearly close.

Reading back through posts. It is so hurtful Whiff when people tell lies about you especially on a public forum, says a lot about the people that use it.
I have had lies told about me in a small organisation I joined, found out by accident from the bitter person that started it and told as she was well in would deny it. I have either got to have a public debate or leave it. Not up to a fight, she’s done it but why?
Yoga I read back the posts and had missed the bit where the Bully got a parking ticket due to you. Well done, you know what to do next time. That's a bill he won’t like before Christmas.
Babs, I continued sending, because one day she would get to the post. Just sent it in a typewritten envelope well before the day, but nice message inside. These days are so poignant you remember everything about them.💐

I can't watch Musafa Bridie. I know none of the animals are real but still wouldn't be able to watch fighting or worse .

I'm such a wuss. Bought Mr. S. the first of the new Plant of the Apes films on DVD for his birthday years ago. Dashed into the kitchen when the hunters went after the apes, yelled at him to mute the sound so I couldn't hear any screaming, and then decided the entire thing was just too stressful so told him to turn it off, and watch it some other time when he was on his own.

I sympathise with Mr S, I read books all the time, but those I read a few years ago are a blur, I can hardly remember them at all, in fact have often picked up a book and started reading it only to realise I have already read it, thought it was just me until a friend said she also forgets what she has read.

It is sad Babs that attempts are made to sabotage the estrangement forum but we can celebrate the failures which do seem to be mounting up at the moment .

We went to the cinema this afternoon to see Conclave; it was very good. Mr. S. read the book a few years ago so half way through I said what I thought the twist was going to be ie who would become the Pope, but didn't want him to confirm or deny.

What was so funny was that wasn't the main twist, and when that was made known he said he'd forgotten about that one!!!

Honestly, he's hopeless .

So pleased you have your parking space back Yogi, maybe he got wind of our GN posse, hope he causes you no further problems 👍

The best thing to form with trolls is ignore and not engage, I do think there are mental health issues going on with some which is sad.
Your trees look lovely Babs and I hope Santa can get down the chimney ok and not knock the tree down.

Luminance unfortunately there has been trolls and imposter posters on this forum and on this thread.
They hate estranged parents and always blame us for what our children do . And we must be horrible parents as no child would estrange a good parent. Nor to they believe we don't know why they estrange us.

But the longevity of this thread is testament to the fact how strong it is and how many people it has helped . It's been a lifeline for me and countless others.

@Luminance I reported the thread because I wasn’t convinced of it’s veracity. I also reported the post. Recently have been some long and convoluted posts, usually posted in the early hours, that I believe are invented or written by a bot.
Could be wrong but it does seem some will go to extraordinary lengths to sabotage this forum. Which is sad and at the same time annoying.

A terrible shame, sometimes people reveal their true colours under the slightest criticism. I think we could all see who was the problem there.
