These abusive PMs are getting very frequent. They are pretty awful, and, I imagine, hurtful, to some people. 🤬

I reported a thread that had become deeply unpleasant. It has since been deleted. Yet another previously banned poster.

Many of these disrupters are like Vampires 🧛. - they only come out when it’s dark. 🙄

I suspect GN are getting multiple reports for the posts DL. It is particularly unpleasant when genuine posters often EPs are personally commented on, particularly regarding their parenting, but hopefully everyone knows better than to take any notice/get upset by such rubbish, based on nothing but the trolls own problems. Genuine new posters however might well be put off whichv is a shame.

@Smiles is a lovely thing to ask your new neighbour but if your old friend can be a bit prickly is it wise??
You don’t want to act as referee on Xmas day.
However if the new neighbour seems amenable and easy going it could work.

As you're meeting her the day before, you could wait till then. I think you soon know whether you will 'get on' with someone. I know sometimes you can get it wrong, I have. Just wait and see till then.

Afternoon everyone.

We have today but a strong and very cold wind.

Two of our new neighbours are coming round this afternoon for a pre Christmas drink this afternoon and at midday on Christmas eve there's a few of us meeting up at the 10th Hole on site, for a drink.

Apparently there's a lady here most of the time (like us) who lives alone and had mentioned to two of our other neighbours, that she wanted to meet up so she could get to know some of us.

We have a friend from our old church coming for Christmas day and I'm wondering if we should ask her what she's doing, and if she's going to be on her own, to ask if she wants to join us.

What do you all think? We don't know her of course, will only have met her for the first time the day before and our friend wont have met her at all.

I think this particular troll will go to any lengths to ensure that she is proved right and every EP is proved wrong. Sadly this will drive her nuts because is as likely as squaring a circle 😣

I know that sending offensive emails is illegal. I wonder what the law says about sending offensive pms on a forum.

Thanks both, for baby ideas. I went to Matalan, that is just down the road, bought an outfit with giraffes on and a funny bouncy, squishy ball with a sun face on it, easy to hold and very eye catching; fingers crossed.

Have my first visitor on my new bird table; Freddy the pigeon. Really beautiful handmade, big and heavy. The man that made it even delivered it! I managed to lift it into my hallway, thereafter had to 'walk' it through and into the garden, so it's just outside the patio doors, too close perphaps for the birds comfort [aside from friendly Freddy]. I'll get my son to move it up the garden paralle to the tree.

My sister has just cancelled coming for pre-Xmas dinner & celebrations . She is worried about the heavey traffic & high winds. I don't blame her, I was worried for her when she showed concerns about the trip the day before. So we will meet up in Bluewater just after Xmas. I've travelled down to hers a few times and must say I didn't like the long journey, with all the Xmas traffic it would be a nightmare.

I could tell from the title of the thread it was a load of old cobblers.
She posts very early morning/late night in order to fly under the radar of GNHQ.
I imagine more is to come. Xmas has filled this person with the season of ill will.

Afternoon fellow estranged gransnetters. We are nearly there.

Just had email from Lily at GNHQ telling me they had banned the troll. And her posts deleted.

I am fine just so annoyed especially as she wrote sounds more like a bitter ex that got broken up with rather than an understanding mother of a child. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

That poster is no longer here Whiff, I reported two posts on another thread, the first which was particularly unpleasant and IMO rather disturbing.

Not sure about you Whiff when you bake gluten free but I don’t use the free from flour using almond flour instead.
