Just as we know the pain and anguish that words of anger, bitterness and sometimes hate can cause, we also know the power of words to comfort, support, understand and sometimes help to heal.

This is and always has been the reason for this support thread, it's why it was started so long ago and why it continues. The fact that true friendships are made as regular posters share much of their lives with one another, good and bad, is a wonderful bonus there for all who continue to post and for new comers too.

Morning all, very foggy here this morning. Can usually hear ship foghorns but mustnโ€™t be much traffic today.
Glad to hear you have had the op, sorry you are in pain, hopefully they are managing that for you. I know you want to be at home but rest as much as poss, you want to feel on the better side before having to do things for yourself.
All the best with party plans yogi, sounds like it will be a real occasion. But is a real mare to plan it all.
Love to all ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

What is Snapfish Yogi?
Does it print out your photos?
I have hundreds on my phone, not sure its worth printing them...sounds expensive!
Hope everyone is well and keeping warm, its so icy can't wait for the expected change in the weather so I can get out for a decent walk.
Take care all .

Yoginimeisje Sun 12-Jan-25 08:40:02

Whiff good to hear your op is done and you can shortly go home to rest, well done you flowers

Finally sorted 5yrs of photos I had on Snapfish, took me all night till about 11.30pm and cost me ยฃ80 and that was with a 50% discount code! I think with everyone saving their photos on the cloud or on a SD card, in many years to come they'll all be lost. What do others do with their photos?

So, by the end of this month; I have to do my tax return, renew my driving licence and update my new calendar shock. I was also online for ages yesterday ordering my party buntin etc. First time I've hired a hall for my party as before my home was big enough to accommodate everyone, I would much prefer to have it at home.

Bridie22 Sun 12-Jan-25 08:11:15

Pleased your op is over Whiff rest up, and be taken care of, hope the pain settles down soon xx

Whiff

Just heard been handed over to the other hospital today and going there tomorrow and baring emergencies op on Sunday then home .

Then I will be back rambling . Don't think I said welcome to the new posters you are in a safe place with people who understand what you are going through. The longevity of this thread proves how valued it is and we have long term posters . It's been a wonderful lifeline for me and everyone I class as friends . Funny how words can mean such a lot and we talk about our lives as well. But people only need to share as much as they like. I am a chatterbox in real life and my posts are rambles. ๐Ÿ˜€

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿฝ Whiff.
Great news, hereโ€™s hoping you get home early next week but you are in the best place right now so make sure you rest up.
Wishing you all the best with the op.
Love and hugs ๐Ÿค—

Good one Smiles re 'pest' grin.

Yoginimeisje Fri 10-Jan-25 10:05:34

Yes, that is bad Birdie. They don't want a discussion with us, they don't want to hear how much they are hurting us, and their C, our GC.

Good pic of the fox Babs, I think they are very hungry in this cold weather.

Morning Whiff. I know it is alien to you to have rest for any length of time but right now your body needs this, and a few gentle exercises will do for now. I donโ€™t know how you are even managing to write your posts, I would be a wreck after what you have been through. You are a marvel.
Bless your daughter, she is a star, and all that you need right now.
Take care, love and hugs ๐Ÿค—

Bridie22 Fri 10-Jan-25 07:18:32

Morning Whiff, lovely to hear from you, now do take care of yourself until your op next week, rest up, you will soon be up and running!
So pleased your lovely daughter is there for you, she sounds a treasure.
Sending lots of love xx

Whiff Fri 10-Jan-25 07:12:00

Thank you all for your good wishes. I wasn't told yesterday I would be having my angiogram and stent or stents today. It's classed as day case so don't think it will be done until next week as day cases aren't usually done of a weekend. Not having any problems from my heart but my limbs are hurting more through inactivity. I am used to doing daily exercises and being on the go. They want me to be careful until after the procedure so only doing few gentle exercises by only few . Circling my ankles ,feet and wrists. It's exhausting doing nothing ๐Ÿคฃ.

But they have accepted me for the op so that's the main thing . And being well looked after.

My daughter has been amazing but already knew that . Never even considered texting my son as he has made his views perfectly clear . Anyway he wouldn't care .

Well once home back to my rambles and glad new people have found this brilliant thread and getting the support and friendship they need .

Spring20 Thu 09-Jan-25 21:54:16

Best wishes Whiff from me too. Take care and hope youโ€™re back home and well soon ๐Ÿ’

MissAdventure Thu 09-Jan-25 20:58:57

Excuse me, all.

I just had to pop in and send my very best wishes to Whiff flowers
I didn't realise, and thought I'd not seen her for a while.

You're missed, Whiff.

Whiff rambler extraordinaire, wishing you well ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Smileless2012 Thu 09-Jan-25 20:19:08

What a lovely photo Babs, they are beautiful and only a pest because mankind wants everything their way and anything that gets in the way is a pest; a bit like estranged parents grin.

Oh me too Bridie but it's never going to happen. When they know they're in the wrong, that we know the lies they've told, they're not going to face us.

Hope you're OK Whiff xx

Babs03 Thu 09-Jan-25 20:02:06

Thanks Bridie. I know foxes can be a pest but they are beautiful animals.
I understand what you say about wanting a confrontation in order to find answers but I doubt that is how it would go. It would just be another stick to beat us with.
The fact is we know that we did the best we could for our children, the route they decided to take as ACs is down to them.
Take care ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Bridie22 Thu 09-Jan-25 18:20:01

Beautiful pic Babs03,
Like you I wonder who this person now is, the one I knew as a kind and lovely daughter.
The same daughter who whilst living in the same road as me never left a pint of milk or loaf of bread on my doorstep even though I was shielding for 14 weeks.
How can they be so hard hearted?
I would welcome confrontation, just to find the answers.
